Location was fabulous. Close proximity to everything. Hospitality was magnificent, Rosa and Valentina were both exceptional. Breakfast was great. 😌 Amenities overall were fantastic. The rooms had everything. The pool is small but enough to cool down in and relax.

The kettle in the rooms, prefer nespreso coffee makers so can be updated. The derelict side of the building is distasteful. Its an old heritage building. Half is owned by villa manning relais and the other half is neglected and privately owned which desperately needs to be attended to asap in order to make the stay more enjoyable. The place is also big enough for a communal laundry facility.

It is an oasis, a short walk away from the station and the centre of Sorrento. The garden is just lovely with orange and lemon trees and a quirky pool. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Rooms were grand, large with all you need. Although we had a dog barking constantly from a neighbour, it stopped by late evening, so we had a very peaceful, quiet sleep. The bed was very comfortable. We could even see the sea from our balcony, a pleasant surprise.

We arrived during the day using a transfer arranged by the hotel. But no one answered the door. We tried the phone number and it wasn’t answered. We were starting to panic, when my partner found a WhatsApp page, and we were let in. Breakfast was on our table when we arrived in the room. It was more than adequate, but, and this is a personal thing, we prefer to choose from a buffet layout. For a boutique hotel, cereals were very limited, and no healthy choices, or additional items such as nuts and seeds.

A wonderful stay in a truly charming villa with exquisite rooms and decor throughout. A lovely setting in tranquil gardens, under lemon trees with a plunge pool. The staff were at all times friendly and welcomed our family. Thank you Valentina and Valeria for your help booking local activities and such good restaurant advice, and to Rosa for fab breakfast and kindness to our children! Villa Manning is a home to enjoy, in a quiet location but still central to the station and Sorrento sights. We thoroughly loved it and only wished it was for (much) longer!

Nothing at all to change

We spent 4 nights at Villa Manning and stayed in the junior suite with terrace. The room is very spacious and was convenient for us (2 adults & 2 kids). The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the historic centre yet in a much more quiet location. One of the highlights for us was the breakfast, absolutely delicious and the lovely Rosa who went above and beyond to help us (as we had to miss breakfast due to an early start for a tour, she provided us with a packed breakfast to take with us). Overall a great stay at Villa Manning Relais.

Really nice modern room in a beautiful villa. Lovely gardens and cold water spa pool. Staff were really nice, great service with a smile. Breakfast and all the trimmings superb. Good location with Short 3-5min walk to centre or to Train Station.

Nothing really. Learn the ac controls for heat and cool as needed. Once we knew that it was perfect. Note that It’s a large beautiful old villa that’s been modernised; full of character and has some stairs to get to various levels that some may struggle with, but also has some lifts that are accessible that will get you where you’re going too…. a short walk between the two.

The gardens are beautiful, a nice place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the narrow side streets. Room 1, junior suite is large with a stunning bathroom. The terrace was large enough to enjoy of an evening. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfasts were amazing, with the lovely lady having grown most of the produce in her own home garden.

The building is large and has two lifts that reach separate floors. You have to cross the garden with your luggage… this was a very minor inconvenience and I am scraping the barrel to find a negative about the hotel.

Breakfast was amazing. Including the gluten free. The room was comfortable and lovely. Staff were amazing. So accommodating and friendly. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to everywhere. The gardens and pool were beautiful. Would definitely return and would recommend to anyone.

Not at all the fault of the hotel, but we got bitten by mosquitoes all day. At breakfast there was some citronella sprayed, some more of that would have been good. And maybe around the garden as it was a terrible problem despite spraying bug spray a lot. I think we had them in the room too. The fridge could have worked better and the tv didn’t work, not that that was a problem. We also got locked in the garden once as we forgot the room key. Had to ring the front desk. It would be nice to have stairs to get downstairs and not only have to use the lift with a card. No issues that would stop me returning and recommending, just feedback.

It is an absolute oasis in the centre of Sorrento. The garden is beautiful and the pool is a lovely added treat. My children loved having the option to splash about. The staff could not have been more attentive, so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We felt privileged to stay in such a beautiful heritage property and we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were a treat! We would 100% stay here again.

Completely gorgeous property! The pool area, the grounds, the trees, the outdoor breakfast area, just incredibly gorgeous! We loved staying here, the location is wonderful, staff is amazing, check in and out is super easy, the breakfasts are amazing! The room and beds were very comfortable and it was very nice to have a/c, too. Just a short walk to the main square, ferry, train, shopping, restaurants, etc. (also: the books we could borrow and read off shelves around the property are a very nice touch :)

Upon arrival, our shower was dirty in a few spots, behind the glass door and above the faucet, everything else was perfect, though—not a big deal

It was a small, boutique hotel with lots of traditional and unique elements. The gardens were beautiful and everything was super clean (and I’m a clean freak). The service was fantastic - friendly and very accommodating.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like - but I would recommend two things: - keep breakfast inside as it’s more comfortable for breakfast and the building is so beautiful. Maybe offer coffee and cake outside only. - in the room when there is three people - add two more chairs so there is somewhere for everyone to sit.
