The owner and family couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The room was great and spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was great for the station and the Naxos beaches. Sitting on the roof terrace in the evening was fun too.

It's not the pensione's fault but the layout in Taormina is difficult to navigate. Taormina and Isola Bella are actually separate locations. Cundari is a half hr walk from Isola Bella but you can't walk it easily as there is no pavement. We walked back from Taormina via a beautiful path but didn't fancy walking up it! Naxos has nice beaches and restaurants but sadly when we were there the litter was out of control and the beach condition was pretty grim. I think this was largely because it was a holiday.

As soon as I arrived, the lady at the front desk made me feel more than welcome. She gave me a run down on where to go & how to get there. They were very helpful with my luggage as I was on the 2nd floor & having to go up a flight of stairs. It was very clean & comfortable. I also liked that there was a little pizza takeaway next door. I had the best pizza on my travels there. It is also very convenient to be able to take public transport, close to railway station, bus stops & taxi ranks. Also nice & close to beaches & restaurants. I recommend Hotel Pensione Cundari to anyone. I'll be back if I return to Sicily again. Thankyou to the lovely family run staff of Hotel Pensione Cundari.

This very cosy, family owned hotel is everything you could want in a cosy town like Giardini Naxos. Small, but very cosy rooms with clean and new bathrooms, comfortable beds and a balcony. This is not a luxurious hotel, but it was one of our best stay the whole trip and we would definitely come back again. It's close to bakeries and super markets, and 5 min walking from the beach! The family that owns it are also so nice. And the free parking was 10/10.

The biggest thing for my boyfriend was the road outside, that was quite busy almost all hours of the day. But there was AC, so didn't need to keep the doors open at night, and then it wasn't a problem. The hotel is also right next to a train station, which you hear sometimes, but didn't bother us.

This Little treasure spot of family guided guesthouse is a warm welcoming, true relaxing & affordable place to stay at Taormina. The rooms seems to be quite simple furnished but very comfortable & practical & very clean. The bed & the bed lining are very good to relax after a long day. The rooms are not too small or too big, just perfect. The private parking place is just perfect near by. Actually little guesthouse is located at the bottom coast line. It feels a little bit like the little sister of the big grand dame of Taormina. Therefore it is more local less touristic. Delicious little food store close by: a butcher with lunch service, bakeries, food stalls, stony beach.. Reaching the touri part of Taormina there is a walking serpentine path along the green growing nature garden … quite sportiv but just wonderful Or you can take the bus or the train. Both stations are close by. For the very close train station just be prepared that you might hear the sound of train traffic sometimes. My advice for traveling anyway: to use earplugs at night if you are sensitive. I recommend this wonderful place with full hearth. Anytime would come here again I would be thankful to be a guest here again.

Cheap family run 1-star guesthouse, in a renewed old building, at the border of the two municipalities of Taormina an Giardini Naxox. Cheap but very comfortable, better than its category. Free reseved parking available, simple but renewed furniture, fine bathroom with window, very halpful personnel. Close to the bar and restaurants of the promenade of Giardini Naxos. The windows of the guesthouse face the railway and the road, but the sound insulation is good and we had no problems during the night. I recommend if you need a cheap and essential stay to visit Taormina. Considering the prices of sorrounding accomodations, it has a very good value for money.

The hotel is located near the train station - although part of the walk is on a busy street without sidewalks/pavements, but not a big problem. Since I arrived and left by train, this was very convenient - and there are regular buses up and down the hill to Taormina itself. Although coming back from Taormina, it seemed a little chaotic at the bus station, with no clear schedule. The people who work at the pensione are very very nice and friendly - a touch of the real Italy.

I was there on a Sunday night so not much open nearby in the way of restaurants - but able to get some eggplant parmigiana from the butcher shop next door. And yes, you can hear the trains go by, but even though I was on the side overlooking the tracks, they did not disturb my sleep.

The location was wonderful, about 60 yards from Taormina Central Train Station and a short bus ride to the city center. Also a short walk to the restaurants of Gardini- Naxos. The Pensione is owned and operated by a husband and wife, who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast each morning was perfect. While the terrace on the roof over looking the bay, was a relaxing way to end each busy day with a glass of wine. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Absolutely nothing negative. In doing research, the sound of the trains is mentioned, since the building sits next to the tracks on a busy line. However, they do not run after 11PM, it is extremely quiet after this time.

It was very clean, comfortable apartment. The staff was very kind, helpful. They also have private parking very near to the accommodation. You can also buy very good pizza next door. It is very close to the train station but trains are very fast and it takes only 5 sec and it’s quite again.

when someone locks the door or makes some noises on the floor in the morning (6am) it was like he is in our room. except for this moment everything was very good

Cleanest, most comfortable and welcoming stay I’ve had in my last month backpacking. Staff are lovely and welcoming, super clean, location great with a very frequent bus stop 30 seconds from the hotel which takes you to Taormina bus terminal centre and isola Bella starting very early and finishing past midnight. Much nicer staying in this area as it’s out of the main crows and only a 5 minute walk to lovely emerald green beaches couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! 5 mins from train station also! Perfect stop for Etna excursions which generally leave from the Taormina bus terminal.

Private secure parking, near/on main road to Naxo/beachfront (walkable, driveable and public transportation), decent "carb breakfast" with any type of coffee, dated but clean rooms. Small family run hotel with husband, wife and niece. Started off a bit rocky as owner was not pleased that I wanted the available room located at the front with view of mountain and road versus rear room with view of railway tracks, but after that, all was good. They were being thoughtful in initially offering the rear room as they felt the front room, facing road, may be too noisy, but with the doors closed at night, the room was quiet. The niece was very helpful with directions, points of interest and open to address any questions. Others good as well. Overall experience quite positive.

I only mention this as a note and not necessarily as a negative. The front door exits directly onto the main road, which is usually very busy and fast. This is the road that leads to the main strip/beach area and very close to the road leaving little to no space to safely walk. This may be considered somewhat "the norm" in several areas within Sicily.
