We had an exceptional 3 night stay at Garni Ortles in Selva. The place is ran by Maria and her family who couldn’t have been more welcoming & accommodating during our stay. We instantly felt at home on arrival and Maria gave us wonderful hiking recommendations. The room itself was cosy, clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchenette. There’s also a bus stop 2 minutes walk away which you can use for free with the free travel pass you are given on arrival. We can’t recommend this place enough and we would absolutely love to stay here again should we come back to this beautiful area!

The breakfast at the lodge was great but a little pricey.

Good location for a ski trip: - almost sky-to-door - across the street from one slope on the Sellaronda clockwise Ski Circuit. - close to the bus station - 2 stops to Ciampinoi cable car. - calm and quiet area, no problem to sleep and relax - 10 minutes walk to Selva - easy to reach many restaurants and apres-ski bars. - free parking on the property. - ski room with heated ski boots rack. Cozy rooms: - nice interior with vintage touch, wood and natural materials. - warm and clean. - double bed with good mattress. - good storage - wardrobe and shelves. - our room had a nice mountain view and exit to a generous terrace. Gourmand breakfast: - prepared with great care and passion by the host, Maria - local products, fresh and diverse. - homemade cakes, smoothies and jam.

This was such an incredible place to stay! Maria was so kind and communicative, I felt extremely welcomed. She helped me with the transportation and served the most delicious breakfast. The room was cute, very clean, and offered a variety of amenities. I honestly wish I could have stayed here for more than one night because it was so exceptional. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area. It was also so easy to commute to Ortisei for my hikes so great location!

We had a fantastic experience staying at Garni Orltes! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural beauty. We loved the delicious breakfast each morning, offering fresh, local ingredients that were the perfect start to our day.The staff was always eager to provide recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Garni Orltes exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming place to stay!

The b&b is very close to Ortisei, but also located in a small tourist village where you can buy anything you need and pick from a great variety of restaurants as well. It has a lot of parking spaces. The breakfast is good, and changes by the day. It is a seated breakfast. The room is clean, and even though not spacious, it is practical and well equipped. In our case the balcony looked directly to the road, but it was not disturbing as the balcony door and window do not let much noise in. The host is helpful, she explained every attraction and hike close by and provided us with free bus tickets for our stay.

The balcony shutters were difficult to close. There is no elevator.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Garni Hotel Ortles in Selva di Val Gardena for just one night during our cycling adventure through the Dolomites, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Despite our short stay, the experience was absolutely memorable. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The hotel’s ambiance is charming and cozy, offering a much more personal and comfortable atmosphere compared to the usual standard hotels. The room was beautifully furnished, making us feel right at home, with all the comforts we could ask for after a day of exploring the breathtaking Siusi Alps and the stunning routes under Sassolongo. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the homemade breakfast served by the owner the next morning. It was abundant, delicious, and made with such care that it felt like a special treat to start our day. The hospitality extended beyond just the amenities; the owners of Garni Hotel Ortico are some of the most friendly and warm people we’ve encountered. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, even allowing us to leave our car in their parking lot until the afternoon of our departure, despite the parking being quite full.

We had a beautiful stay at this charming b&b. The host Marie was very warm and welcoming, our room was clean, cozy, and perfect for our stay. The location is great, with easy access to local attractions + the host gave us a free bus pass. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, homemade jams and juice. Highly recommend!

Excellent location for local hiking with short walk to town centre for food and drinks. Owners were very helpful on advising routes and local events.

The coffee . It’s not all that important for many people but I love to start my day with good coffee. The breakfast choices were wide although it is no longer buffet so guests must request specific things

The warm welcome from the start was beyond expectations, that made our whole Dolomites experience the best. Maria gave us all recommendations needed, and our room was amazing as well. The best was also the unique breakfast way of serving, really loved and adored the hospitality here. Could not get a better experience!!

A perfect base to explore and go on hikes in Val Gardena. Supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance, right next to bus stop that takes you to all hiking trails and cablecars, we even got a free bus card and the timetable which was really helpful. Maria the owner was very kind and attentive, she helped us a lot with the bus connections, hiking recommendations. And not to mention the generous and hearty breakfast that she carefully prepared for us every morning. We will gladly return!
