We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more. It was super clean, beautifully furnished with a comfy bed and the view from the balcony was out of this world. Maurizio and Martina were wonderful to deal with. Always communicating and checking in to make sure we were doing well and if we needed anything. Lidia who cleaned the room did a fabulous job too. The stairs heading up to the apartment were steep but it didn’t worry us. It may affect some people though. The property is situated in the heart of Tropea with the steps leading down the beach next door. There is a mini market only 2 mins walk away where they are well stocked and super friendly. We would highly recommend to others.

We loved everything

The apartment was in a great location— very central to the town and right by the stairs down to the beach. We couldn’t have had a better location. Maurizio and his daughter, Martina, were very hospitable and we really appreciate that he allowed us to check in early and check out late. They were also very helpful by sending us gps links to find restaurants, the beach, and a place to find a new suitcase since ours broke. They even supply an umbrella to use at the beach and local treats like wine, an onion spread, and honey. We will definitely book again should we have the chance the return!

The kitchen could have had a few more basic items like olive oil/salt/pepper, but that was really not a big deal at all.

Our stay in Tropea was absolutely magical, and the hotel played a huge part in that experience. The location is second to none — perched right above the stunning coastline, offering panoramic views that take your breath away. Waking up to the sparkling blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the dramatic cliffs of Tropea was unforgettable. The position of the hotel is perfect — just a short stroll to the historic centre, with its charming streets, vibrant restaurants, and local shops, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. We loved being able to walk everywhere while still feeling completely immersed in the beauty of the Calabrian coast. If you’re coming to Tropea, this is the place to stay. The views alone are worth it — truly world-class. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more memorable stay. Can’t wait to return!

Absolutely loved this property! Was met warmly and so helpfully by the team. Lovely nautical theme and nice touches (bottle of wine and local produce on arrival). This was a room with no view; but not to be deterred as this was beautifully decorated, comfortable and large, with a separate kitchen area. Bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. Would highly recommend and would return here with no hesitation if in Tropea again :)

Did note some slight noise at night, but as so close to town this is expected. Not at all an issue, unless you are very early sleepers!

The apartment was bright, clean, and roomy. The views from the balcony were just phenomenal. Maurizio was a wonderful concierge and host. The kitchen, well stocked with supplies. Our welcome basket of jellies, jams, crackers and wine made us feel special. We loved the wine so much, we bought a case when we got home! Location, service and amenities, top notch.

There should be a disclaimer about the steps up to the apartment from the entrance. Folks with mobility issues or disabilities may have an issue navigating the steep stairwell, or it could be a slight issue for those with heavier, larger luggage. To be expected for ancient city architecture.

This place is in the perfect location, you can access the center, the sanctuary, everything within few steps. Maurizio is the host is so kind and generous, we came at beginning of May where all rooms are available, he gives us a free upgrade. We paid for the room without balcony - which is also super nice, but he told us that the room with balcony is available and check us in there directly. The balcony view is facing the sea and the sanctuary, we ended up with a balcony for beautiful sunset, breakfast, and self made lunch which have been super amazing! the check in process is very easy and systematic - we did online check in to make the process quicker - where you have to provide all necessary documents, then when we arrive Maurizio is here to check us in. Very clean room, comfortable bed, equipped with a kitchen and everything. Free parking is available within walking distance which Maurizio will share with you.

The view from the terrace is stunning! You can greet sunrise and meet sunset, see a Stromboli island, and endless Tyrrhenian Sea changing its colors. The location of the apartment is very convenient: right by the stairs to the beach; just a few minutes walk to the center; with plenty of cafes, restaurants, a nice pasticceria and minimarket closeby; about 15 minutes walk to the train station. Maurizio was very responsive via WhatsApp, as well as gave recommendations on good restaurants. A complementary bottle of wine along with various snacks were much appreciated while consumed on the terrace with this beautiful view. Enjoyed my stay in Tropea at Le Tolde del Corallone!

Maurizio’s apartments are perfect, spotlessly clean, great Air Conditioning and a very comfortable bed. All facilities worked brilliantly. Maurizio and his daughter were both VERY helpful, recommending restaurants, places to go and things to see. The location is the real selling point, the apartment is very central with shops, bars and restaurants minutes away and its next to the viewing point for THAT view - incredible. I travelled from Lamezia which was very easy - a 40minute train to Tropea then a 10min walk, simple! Thank you Maurizio & Martina, I didn’t want to leave :)

Location was ideal! Steps away from the beaches, Isola Santa Maria Sanctuary, Church of San Francesco d’Assisi/Santa Margherita Chapel, shopping, restaurants and the piazza. Once we parked the car, we did not move it at all. Everything we wanted to do was accessible by foot.

No windows/view, a bit smelly in the washroom area (typical of old buildings). Initially, the property and parking was difficult to find, but the host drove out on moto to meet us.
