I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years, mostly for business - although this trip was just for holiday. I had some concerns about parking our rental VW multi-van in the hotel garage, but the staff went above & beyond to make sure it would fit (and it did!). The room was large and the air-conditioning worked very well. Made for very comfortable sleeping. The hotel is near the central part of Udine, so there are many restaurants and bars within an easy walk. My favorite is Al Gelso, which is just behind the hotel, one block away. Excellent food. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Same-day laundry service is also available, and we made use of that. Breakfast is excellent also.

The only negative was the road construction just in front of the main hotel entrance. Not sure how long that will last, but it was a little confusing to park on a side-street and navigate ourselves to the hotel front door. Once that road work is done though, this is no longer an issue.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town Udine - nice and cozy, excellent staff and facilities. Exceptionally clean, modern and welcoming. Pet-friendly, so our two small dogs were very welcome and the hotel did not charge an extra fee for them. They got water bowl, and everybody was very friendly. The hotel also has their own parking garage, so f a very reasonable extra fee you can leave your car in a secure place.

Good location. Room was upgraded which was a nice surprise.

Breakfast wasn’t great. No fruit of any sort. Offering was quite limited. Coffee poor. Croissants were very fresh though. Shower cubicle surprisingly small in a bathroom which otherwise was excellent.

The perfect central location to spend time in Udine.. and has its own car park The hotel is comfortable and unpretentious, the staff are wonderful, the restaurant is actually one of the best we’ve been to whilst in Italy.. all home made and really delicious ! We loved it!

a lovely (and attractive) receptionist not only gave me the top floor room I asked for but also upgraded me without question. So I had a double room uso singolo. She recommended a very nice risto just a short walk from hotel, which looked ace and was completely packed. No shortage of alternatives..amongst others one of the best stocked shops for grappa and amaro.

I loved the location right in the centre, the old style feel and the tranquillity of the place. I loved dining in the restaurant, the food was so delicious, the wine was also so good and the service was excellent. The staff at reception, restaurant and breakfast were so nice and attentive to any of my needs.

A big centrally located four star hotel with car park was just what we wanted for our stay in Udine and the Astoria was ideal. Old world charm, friendly staff. There was even a porter who directed us to the car park from the entrance in the car and then brought all our luggage to the room. When you are driving in Italian cities parking is nearly always stressful and this was so helpful.

There didn’t seem to be a bar which was odd and we didn’t find the breakfast room very appealing with a large tour group ensconced and having greatly depleted the buffet. Not a problem as we found a wonderful cafe nearby which had the most amazing pastries and brilliant coffee. When booking, don’t take the breakfast option.

On the first night a big group of hotel guests were extraordinarily loud through many hours...it was definitely NOT the fault of hotel but may be in some similar extreme situation a polite request from hotel staff to stop it in the interest of other guests could have been useful ?!....naturally I do not know whether it happened or not...

Location, parking, spacious room

No answer to messages. You will have to call them. No warning about the fact that the street was closed off. Garage entrance is in Via del Gelso 14. Courtyard view.

Privileged location in downtown. Private parking though not close by. Breakfast was good with hot dishes and gluten free options.

Pricey parking fee and given son street closures, it ended up being bit complicated to reach the parking
