Lovely hotel. Excellent location. On a small canal within a few minutes walk from San Marco but in a quieter area. Beautiful Room. Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel group own a bar and two lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk - both lovely food and service. And, there’s a discount if you are staying at the hotel.

There is nothing that we didn’t like. The only thing we would have liked is a hotel bar - there isn’t one at the actual hotel. There is a bar at the hotel next door (same hotel group) which was lovely, friendly and very reasonably priced but, unfortunately, closed on 2 of the 3 nights we were there.

The hotel is like what is advertised and more. The place has been fully renovated, very comfortable and quiet rooms and great AC. The bed was super comfortable with great quality linen and comfortable pillows. A highlight is that they have a lift and the room with canal view was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with many options and great barista made coffee. We also found very easy the short walk from the Alilaguna stop to the hotel having to cross only one bridge. I would recommend and certainly stay there again.

Everything was great

Had an absolutely fabulous stay at Palazzo San Lorenzo. It is about 8 mins walk from San Marco Square and about 8 mins walk from San Zaccaria ferry stop. The hotel is close enough to San Marco and far enough not to be too noisy or touristy. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade from Booking.com to a Superior Double Room. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. Room was at the back of the hotel so it was relatively quiet and we could only hear the odd loud voices outside at night even with the window closed. Hotel gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and one that we visited was excellent - Bacarandino. The staff were very friendly and booked dinner reservations as well as arrange for the gondola rides which is conveniently located outside the hotel. They can arrange for airport transfers by water taxi as well as private tours which we did not use. Palazzo San Lorenzo does provide a complimentary boat ride to Murano island. It is one way and you will have to find your own return journey. It is not necessary to use the service of the hotel to book the water taxi as it is very expensive. We booked a shared water taxi through GetYourGuide where you share the water taxi with other passengers (about 10 passengers max). They drop you at San Zaccaria and it is an 8 mins walk to the hotel. We were lucky enough to be the last ones to get dropped off so for the last 15 mins of the boat ride, it was like our own private boat. What a beautiful way to be introduced to Venice. It is worth it to buy the multi day public ferry (Vaporetto) that the locals as well as tourist use to travel up and down the Grand canal. It also allows you to visit the islands but it does not take you to the airport. That is a different boat company (Alilaguna). There are a lot of good places for breakfast around the hotel so having their breakfast included is not necessary. Lovely gelato also available opposite the hotel. Fantastic stay!!

The staff kept on trying to recommend their private services - breakfast, hotel airport transfer, tours. This is a very minor negative point as overall they were lovely. Once you say that you are not interested then they will not push. I did my own google search for the transport as I wanted to discover Venice.

I stayed at the property for one night, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, going the extra mile to make my last evening in Venice truly memorable. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts, including USB plugs. The bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed a great night’s sleep before my early departure. A special thank you to Alessandro for the warm welcome. I would definitely return and highly recommend this property to others.

the room was nice, the vanity supplies were really nice and the service great, also the breakfast options were ok, we enjoyed a lot our stay and also they allowed us to do late check out with a fair price

The only this was that they offered us the service of going on a boat to see the once in a year fireworks but the boat did not work, so we lost the opportunity to enjoy them it and they did giveback the money but at the moment gave no further solution and they justified it as that was not a hotel problem but the boat service (third party) a mistake, when at first they said those were their boats, so I would suggest to them to be more cautious with who they are working with, also it seemed the man driving had no idea o what was going on with the boat

It is a unique boutique-style hotel, right in the centre of everything, with San Marco square just a 7 minute walk away. Rooms are well-appointed, furnished beautifully. Beds and bedding are exceptionally comfortable. A/C worked well. 3rd floor window was out onto a small waterway, with a view of the Venetian rooftops.

Accommodation was a little pricey @ over €500 for 2 rooms. Getting to the accommodation costs €90 in a private water taxi. We negotiated €70 to San Marco pier, but were left with quite a long way left to walk to get to the property with luggage - not fun at all lifting luggage up and down steps to get across 3 bridges. I don't know if the hotel's option would have managed to get closer, but given the small size of the rivers, possibly not? Best to check with the hotel in advance to see where exactly you will be left, so they can arrange for a porter to meet you.

We had the exact room from the first picture and it was even more beautiful in person. Everything was very clean and quiet with an amazing view of the canal. The staff was very nice and helpful. They upgraded us for free to the canal view room. The location was AMAZING!! As a person who hates always paying for Ubers to all the sites, this was a 5-10 minute walk from the palace and this really beautiful square. It was located close to tons of great restaurants as well.

It was a little difficult to find the first time, but that’s all. Other than that no issues or concerns.

Very friendly and helpful staff, got upgraded to a beautiful, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Was offered free breakfast due to an issue (my mistake) with my reservation and was also given a bottle of Prosecco. Couldn’t have been any better! Very central and close to main attractions and San Marco ferry stop. Sumptuous breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes

It couldn’t be more perfect! My only gripe was the machine cappuccino. Otherwise excellent

Very good location of the hotel, only few minutes from traject on San Marco square. Very good breafast. Overall the experience was very welcoming and nice.

Wi-Fi and LTE signal were very weak in Room 2, and the room itself was quite dark with poor lightning. Being on the ground floor, it also lacked privacy—without the blackout curtains drawn, people passing by could see straight in.

This hotel was perfect. Short walk from San Zaccaria Water Taxi stop. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was great. Had a smart TV and coffee machine which was nice. The hotel is fitted out to a high standard and was great value.

Nothing about the hotel, really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t do the shared panoramic boat again, it was good but the boat was full which made it the €35 pp not so worth it.
