The hotel is up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the lake. Our room had a spectacular view — truly one of the highlights of our stay. There are benches all around the yard where you can relax and enjoy the view, and the sunsets were amazing. One evening, we even saw deer walking through the garden — such a nice surprise. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent (worth booking ahead if you're staying over the weekend). The town is only a 20-minute walk away, so it was easy to go explore without taking the car. Everything felt calm and welcoming. We had a great stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

Nothing, really. Everything went smoothly, way better than we exepcted.

We had the use of a one bedroom suite with sofa bed in a separate annex to the main building with a good sized balcony overlooking fabulous view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable and there was everything we needed (mini bar, tv, kettle with coffee and tea making facilities, mini toiletries), towels were good. We booked a table at the hotel’s restaurant well in advance of our stay and it was the highlight of our trip (it was very busy and it seemed not just with tourists). We ate very well, after having been welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, and the service was excellent. The food was refined but not too much so, we paid €145 for 2 adults and 2 children for a 3 course meal and a half bottle of wine. Hotel guests get 10% off the bill which was applied automatically.

The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable and there was some noise as patrons left the restaurant late at night. Check-in and check-out left us a bit cold, we felt we were bothering the staff which was a shame compared to the restaurant service which was excellent. We couldn’t easily find the hotel reception which was actually inside the restaurant. But overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

The LOCATION is the highlight of this place and the reason we would recommend anyone to stay there! The views from the gardens of Lake Maggiore were stunning and made our trip, watching the sunset was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and kind and even gave us a glass of wine and some bread cheese and meats to have in the garden whilst we enjoyed the views. Having the restaurant on site was also lovely. The menu adopts a slow food approach of using local suppliers which was appreciated, and the food was delicious authentic Italian (not just the touristy pizza and pasta) and reasonably price for such a nice restaurant. The town of Laveno was lovely, with a ferry port for easy access to other towns, so would recommend as a great place to stay in Lake Maggiore. Also highly recommend Lake Maggiore (especially a trip to the Borromean Islands) if you are visiting the Italian lakes.

The rooms were simply but clean, but we were more than happy with it.

Breakfast could have been more elaborate and was not really refilled. I think the hotel is also popular for weddings when we left at 10.30am they were in full preparation for a wedding ceremony.

Amazing location! Fine restaurant Wonderful drive to get there, beautiful views from restaurant window tables in summer, and from (some) rooms. Spacious suite/apartment (comfortable, simple furnishings) with balcony.

The location provides a great viewpoint over Lago Maggiore. The larger accommodation offered was spacious and quiet, with a separate sitting area and a patio. The breakfast was good as they offered scrambled eggs to go along their continental breakfast buffet and fresh fruit juices. The on-site restaurant was excellent and the 10% discount for hotel guests was appreciated. This was a great location for a multi-day stay. We loved it. Locanda Pozzetto had great staff and a very special place - memorable!

Parking was tight (large cars would have a tough time). My wife wished the room was better decorated... If they added a small fridge to the apartment (it has the hotel mini-bar fridge) the room would have been perfect.

Amazing view over the Lago Maggiore. Very friendly staff, Spacious and clean rooms. There is also a very nice restaurant where you have to make a reservation. It is one of our most favourite places to come back.

If it is really hot in the summer an airco would be nice

The location is great with an amazing view over the Lake. The staff is very friendly. The hotel belongs to a very nice restaurant which is fully booked almost every night. So make a reservation. We will return here for sure!

It was rather hot at the time even during the night. There is a fan but an airco would be much better!

Nice building, stunning location, exceptional dining.

Breakfast was a bit sparse, e.g. no milk alternatives, lack of bowls & sooons, no cheese or meat unless requested. The bed cover was tucked in way too tight and difficult to liberate. Moveable showerhead was missing. General feeling of being understaffed.

Stunning views. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had issues with our hire car and received loads of assistance. Especially from Christina who even drove us to the car and arranged taxis. Great breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs to order.

There is no general lounge area indoors. Minor, but the shower area was too small for the rain effect shower head.
