The staff were very helpful withall my questions beforehand and answered quickly . We arrived very late at night but the Reception staff made us feel very welcome. The room was large and comfortable with very comfy beds and very clean. Breakfast was exceptional, freshly squueezed orange juice, a large selction of meats, cheese, bread, pastries - all delicious and set us up for the day alongside the great coffee. Shame it was such a short stay this time. We will definitely choose to return to the hotel- thank you!

Wonderful Stay at Hotel Intra! Our experience at Hotel Intra was truly exceptional. Chiara and the entire team went above and beyond — their customer service strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. They were always friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to assist with anything we needed. A special mention to the young gentleman at reception, who made us feel genuinely valued and welcomed from the moment we arrived. It's rare to feel such personalized care. The location is perfect: in the centre of Intra and a two minute walk to the port where boats will take you to the beautiful Borromean islands. There is a free private parking nearby and a possibility to stop in front of the hotel to load/unload luggage. The staff were cordial and welcoming, and left a great impression! We stayed in a quadruple room with lake view - it was very large with four comfortable beds. The breakfast was varied and had everything to our taste. I can definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a very pleasant stay so cannot think of any complaints.

I liked the room size. Big enough for a family of 4 with a little storage room for suitcases. Location was good. Breakfast was good and value for money. Staff at the reception was ok.

No coffee maker or a kettle in the room. The access to the hotel with a car was not easy, especially at the time we were staying (end of July) they were doing some road repair outside the hotel. We had a problem loading our car with the suitcases for literally 20 seconds. The AC was working but it was so noisy that we had to switch it off but there was a small fan in the room, definitely not big enough for the room of that size.

Excellent breakfast. Good location and views. Staff upgraded our room without us asking which was lovely and ended up with balcony and view over the lake. Parking for motorbikes. Extra toiletries, nice touch. Staff very friendly

Previous occupants underwear was found on back of bathroom door. Unfortunately no hot drink facilities in room, although water and fridge was provided. No air con so would have been very hot on warm day as unable to open windows with busy road outside and bar open until very late!! Wifi very poor in room 403

We liked everything! Location, area, atmosphere, breakfast. But the main advantage is the stuff! Thank you for your welcome, hospitality, professional approach, and kindness. They gave us better rooms, place for parking near the hotel, explanation. I travel a lot, so I can compare. One of the best or maybe the best stuff I have ever met! Thank you very very! Hope to be back.

Great location, great breakfast, great room. Generally good value for its money.

Hard beds, very noisy first night (party nearby), second night was very quiet though! I hoped the kids room was separate (but that was my bad, I havent realized it). The parking is ~500m away from the hotel (no additional cost) but still I assumed it would be right at the hotel.

Location impaired to a certain extent by pavement replacement outside the hotel. This also created a limited timeframe for unloading luggage, also car had to be parked securely some distance away.

We would have appreciated a restaurant and maybe lounge/bar area. That said within a 2 minute walk there were a plethora of restaurants to suit all pockets.

The room was nice and came with a balcony. Location was great. The staff working at the hotel were very kind and friendly!

The Intra was perfectly placed on the main shopping area opposite the lake and a short stroll to the ferry terminal for Island hopping. The receptionist Alessandra understood my request perfectly and emailed immediately She arranged for adjacent upgraded rooms for a small fee and gave us a view of the lake at sunrise and sunset. There is a lift in the lovely old building and the rooms were newly refurbished bright and very spacious.(ours could easily have slept 6) and cleaned daily. In fact all staff (24hour) were warm friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh hams cheeses and pastries. Off site parking for our hire car was in a secure car park.

The new beds were pretty firm and the pillows were a little unforgiving.
