Absolutely gorgeous location, nice variety at breakfast, views of the lake and fountains, great water pressure, got upgraded for free, so convenient right across from the ferry stop.

Milk at breakfast was almost always sour, no free parking options, bed very hard, plenty of spiders and webs on the balcony

The hotel is in a fabulous location, overlooking Lake Maggiore. We had a room on the first floor with a balcony which maximises the view. The bed was top quality, with cotton sheets; the bathroom provided everything you could need; and the breakfasts were superb, with everything from muesli, fresh fruit and yoghurt to more standard cooked. As you'd expect, the coffee was freshly brewed from bean to cup. Couldn't fault the staff either who were really helpful.

It was fantastic. Such a beautiful old house with such amazing looking Style inside. On point. We were so happy. Lake Lago Maggiore 10 Meters away! You dont find that Style in Germany! Italian way of live. That was reason to go to italy again. To the left of Hotel some nice Restaurants. Little balkoni. So nice to drink Glas of wine.. We will come back ! Heiner Kuhlmann

Located right next to the ferry terminal. We arrived by train to Stresa then took the ferry to Verbania, and it was great having the hotel right there. Great staff though not all as fluent in English. The person on duty when we arrived was really helpful, with advice on what to see and when, so we followed his advice and walked round the peninsula to the botanic garden for the afternoon (well worth seeing). Our room was comfortable with a view of the lake across to Stresa. The maitre d' in the breakfast room was especially courteous and efficient. Whenever we needed anything in the hotel, the staff were quick to respond.

The Bolongaro restaurant next door is good and convenient, but a way of getting there under cover would be good when it's raining. The San Gottardo and Belvedere hotels are joined together with one reception, so you have to go via small steps and a passageway to get from one to the other. Not a problem for us, but could be for anyone with mobility issues.

Location is amazing and the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. Our room was gorgeous with a stunning view. The staff at the hotel were lovely and super helpful. Would stay here again!

There was a mix up with our room but the staff were very helpful in getting it sorted and we quickly got the room we had initiated booked.

In a hystoric building, with view on the lake Maggiore for our deluxe room, close to the center, a 5 minutes walk. Big parking right in front of the hotel. Staff very friendly and supportive. Great breakfast. Strong wifi. Rooms clean, confortable, well fitted for a 4 star. Beds very confortable. A nice bar restaurant. The greatest choice for Verbania. We would come back with pleasure. 10

The room was spacious, clean and had good air conditioning. It had a lovely view of the lake, which you could enjoy from the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - they helped organise taxis from and to Verbania Station at short notice. Breakfast included coffee and a variety of buffet items. We at dinner at the hotel on our first night. It was very good and the restaurant team were very pleasant. Location for the hotel is ideal for cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as access to the ferry and beaches. Overall, an excellent stay.

The internet was a little patchy and the warm food at breakfast was not always that warm. Maybe a microwave to warm things up would be helpful.

very nice hotel and excellent front desk staff - central location with beautiful lake view - amazingly large room for just 16 m2 - public parking right infront of the hotel -cosy clean and comfortable room ( first floor lake side ) - nice little balcony for enjoying a summer evening / hotel restaurant food was excellent, fast serving ( entrecote tender like filet ) - very attentative and helpful staff - the waitress immediately noticed that my wife was not feeling well and offered help - very nice selection of dishes at reasonable prices

We thought that the coffee at breakfast is awful , with large bubble froth, tastes like instant coffee- not our expectation / green blinds infront of the windows (2 of 3 ) get stuck and are difficult to open - everything else though was high quality and worked fine

Service, atencion to details, it was clean, variety and healthy breakfast, perfect location to visit surroundings by boat, supermarket, shops and very good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Location is ideal to spend some time as a couple or in family.
