Breakfast was a large buffet (but a bit sweet and not many fruits. Vegan and a lot vegetarian options). The area us beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, plants, birds chirping and fresh air. Everything is really clean. The female dorm gets cleaned every day, is spacious, all good. But could need a chair, table or little things like so to place you belongings on them. Toilets are clean, but need more toilet paper! Showers are clean and warm.

The kitchen could be as well inexistent: no salt and spices, no oil, no knifes, no garbage bin, barely dishwasher liquid, no towel, only two pans. But clean and they have a fridge. The wifi doesn't really work. I needed it to work there on my laptop, asked at the reception (to unplug it and plug it in again), they weren't really helpful. I couldn't use it during my entire stay. Very frustrating if I need it for work and you're telling me you have wifi!

The view and the location of the hostel is just wonderful. Their are many outside equipments such as a swimming pool, terrasses… The people were relay kind and the breakfast was also very good. It is really cheap for such a good hostel.

Staff were super friendly and the other residents all chatted at breakfast making it feel like a little family!! Breakfast itself was the best one I’ve had travelling round Europe and although I had booked a shared form nobody else turned up the 3 nights I was there and the entire hostel was so quiet at night it was super easy to sleep.

The plugs in my room didn’t work so I had to charge devices downstairs which became a bit of a faff but I managed with a portable charger too. Although the showers were hot and powerful which is really good there wasn’t anywhere secure to hang your things so they wouldn’t get wet other than slinging a towel over the door, but this is really minor in the grand scheme of things!

A hidden gem. I stayed at Ostella Verbania in Oct/Nov, after the summer tourist season ended so it was really quiet, but the weather was still warm. Great place if you want to get away and work remotely for a few days. The views of Lake Maggiore and the palm trees from the hostel are stunning and the hostel is kept very clean by the housekeepers. Great breakfast.

To get to hostel in Verbania, you need to get a bus from Verbania-Pallanza train station, so it is a good idea to check the bus timetable. Also, if you buy a bus ticket on the bus, you can only pay in cash as they do not accept card.

- Beautiful location. Near to the center and ferry dock. - Breakfast was good with breads, cheese, jams, butter, healthy cereals cakes etc, some italian sweets and fruits. Maybe some investment in the coffee maker to improve the taste can aviid some reviewers bad reviews as they overlook everything else because of coffee. - Difficult to beat the price quality ratio. Well done hostel team. - The reception lady in glasses was very nice and provide all asked information. - Set of 2 towels cost 4 euros. Thats usual for many hostels no issues. -

Everything Myself and my friend both agreed that this was the best hostel we have stayed at in the 3 months of traveling across Europe so far! The location is awesome with a short walk or drive to a swim and a beer by the lake Staff were very friendly, Kitchen was clean, spacious and up to date. The beds and bathroom were well kept and on expectations for hostel accommodation And it has a pool!! The value for money you get from this hostel is really 10/10! We would stay again in a heartbeat

Very kind staff!!!! Extremely beautiful location... Enjoyed the sunset and sunrise everyday. unfortunately couldn't try the pool because there was a party but it seems to be also very clean an nice. shared sitting room and kitchen were also not bad (spent much time there working on my laptop)... the breakfast was also very simple but kind of fine for that price... it can be a little bit hard for people with no car. parking spots were always available... So I am coming with my friends again 100%
