We loved the view from our room—it overlooked one of Jakarta’s most iconic landmarks, which made our stay extra special. The hotel has direct access to Grand Indonesia Mall, which is incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. However, the bed was not very comfortable—it felt a bit too firm, which made it hard to sleep well. Also, the walls seemed quite thin, as we could hear noise from the room next door.

Great location with true hospitality from check-in to check-out. The grand deluxe room was very specious and quiet with an incredible central view. Loved to end a hectic day by taking a bath in the free standing bathtub at the window front watching the busy traffic at Bundaran HI outside. The breakfast buffet was great & OKU served excellent Japanese food. Thanks to all the friendly staff to make my stay truly amazing.

Would have loved a good (international) restaurant with table service. The mediocre, buffet only Singnature restaurant was a real disappointment and somehow doesn’t fit to the luxurious Kempinski concept.

We stayed at Kempinski HI for 3 nights, combining business and leisure, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast spread was delightful, offering a great balance of Indonesian and international dishes. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Jakarta, making it easy to mix business and leisure with Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia just steps away. The room was incredibly spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and we were treated to a stunning view overlooking the iconic HI roundabout. We can’t wait for our next stay!

The Hotel Indonesia (now Kempinski) is as wonderful as I remembered it visting with my parents decades ago. While the structure and facilities have been beautifully updated, the staff members (especially at the front desk and concierge) are as kind and helpful as I remembered them to be from years past (in particular, the lady who checked me in--unfortunately I didn't get her name). Other top end hotels may try to replicate the luxury experience but the history and tradition of is one of a kind.

Room is spacious with great and friendly staff with customer service oriented. The food is super good and delicious with its unique taste. The food tastes like a story to tell by the passionate chef. The personal butler name Rina is so helpful and friendly, as well as all the personal butlers ( during breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails) which i’ve missed to get their name. The grand indonesia is accessible from the hotel and the plaza indonesia is just opposite the hotel. 3D2N for my hubby darling birthday surprise treat! Is memorable and the hotel prepared simple decorations, tasty cake and fresh fruits in the room upon check in and it’s so meaningful and i am so thankful. Overall service is over the top.

The location is great. If you bring along kids, this hotel is a must to book. It's linked to Grand Indonesia mall, big enough for you and your family to shop. Opposite building is Plaza Indonesia if you intend to buy luxury items. You don't have to take public transport to ferry you around - walking distance. Also, the hotel is kids' friendly hotel. When you have breakfast, you can send your kids to the playground which the hotel staff will supervised. You can eat your breakfast in peace! The swimming pool is great for kids to swim. There's jacuzzi, if the water too cold for the children, can always go to the hot pool. Breakfast is luxury!!! The food taste great. We went for the Indo cuisine. There's variety like Japanese, North Indian, English Breakfast - you name it. Overall, it's a pleasant stay even though the hotel pricing is a bit on a high side. But with kids - WHY NOT?! Im grateful to encounter such hotel with amazing staff. The staff from the moment you drop off, to reception staff, to housekeeping staff, to restaurant staff - everyone is polite, always smiling and ask feedback about our stay, asking if you need help etc. YOU WILL FEEL PAMPERED WHEN YOU'RE HERE.

The property was amazing! Staff were so helpful and friendly and the rooms were comfortable, clean and luxurious. You would not find a better location. Connected to Grand Indonesia and within walking distance to Plaza Indonesia and Thamrin City. The breakfast was amazing anything you wanted - Western and/or Asian it was there. The amenities were clean and easy to access. Definitely will staying here again.

Centrally located… very close to several shopping malls like Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Tanah Abang..has a long history. Staff at reception and the breakfast cafe were very nice and went out of their way to serve. Wide variety of delicious breakfast selection. Local coffee was sublime.

The bathroom at 522 had a bad smell to it.. the room 801 had rats at the ceiling… can hear rodents moving abt at night.

I came from US, was looking for Indonesian Traditional Food for this Hotel, Breakfast Buffet have Indonesian food, Continental breakfast, Japanesse Food, etc. But Indonesian food, what I want was not on the menu. Restaurant Manager talked to Chef on duty. Chef and his Team made special food for me. I was so happy with special food and so good.... I give him 2 Thumbs Up. I will come back for this hotel.
