My wife and I had an very early morning fight from Stanstead on the following day and decided to spend the day visiting Cambridge rather than an overnight stop at the airport. The hotel was booked well ahead at an almost worryingly low price but the facilities were perfect. A decent bar area and food was served later than I expected.

Hotel parking is chargeable and signage outside suggests that payment is via an app that needs to be installed. Someone later said you can pay in the hotel though I didnt verify this. The booking.com description needs to be more clear on how the parking charges can be paid as fiddling around with installing a phone app when carrying luggage is an unneccessary stress.

We booked an overnight stay to attend a friends funeral in Cambridge. We arrived at the hotel after a 3hour drive from Cardiff. The hotel was easy to find and well located (just off the A14). There was plenty of car parking and the staff manning the reception desk were very welcoming and friendly.The room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The leisure club looked very popular; I would bring a swimming costume one my next visit! We had an evening meal on the evening we arrived, there was a wide choice of menu and the food was nicely presented and very tasty. The breakfast was mainly self service with plenty of choice and there appeared to be an additional menu that you could order. The time of check out from rooms was at 9am but when we explained the funeral did not take place until 2pm. The reception staff agreed that we could delay our check out until 1pm

I used to live in Impington and had returned to Cambridge for a Funeral and a birthday Celebration (a mixed Trip) The hotel has changed since my last visit - the reception has been updated and the bar relocated for the better The rooms were nice and the bed / pillows very comfortable The room prices were competitive We ended up eating in the hotel on the evening of my partners birthday rather than travel into Cambridge the meal - 2 steaks were great and both the Bar and Waitressing staff were lovely. when we booked in the guy on reception was equally nice and acknowledged us later to see we were ok Well done to all concerned at Holiday Inn Impington

The stay was all positive nothing bad to report

Staff were amazing. We travelled with our children, one of whom is Autistic and was obviously overwhelmed from the long journey in the car. The staff were just so helpful and considerate, particularly when we decided to eat dinner at the hotel and our child was struggling to decide what to eat. We were also given free drinks for our wedding anniversary (we had our wedding at the hotel 14 years ago!) and it was exactly the reception we needed that day!

The rooms are starting to show their age and looking a bit tired. Having said that, the rooms were spotless and the beds comfy, so not a problem. It just needed a face-lift.

Very friendly welcome from Alan, who offered his assistance as I use a wheelchair. He also arranged an accessible taxi - thank you, Shooey. Everywhere looked and smelt fresh, but a little extra attention in the bathroom could have made it perfect. There was a good selection at breakfast and kind, helpful staff. Other staff members checked that I was okay and could manage in my wheelchair. I shall be returning for another visit and enquired about holding a group charity meeting next year. My pre-booked Accessible Room was very good for my requirements. It was in a good location.

I prefer the price quoted to be the total cost and not VAT added afterwards. If adapting more rooms to be accessible, then a walk-in shower would be preferable. Cooked breakfast could have been hotter,

Not a bad location to drive or park and ride into the city. Large room and the sofa bed was comfortable. Nice to be able to use a pool and spa facilities with free towel and lockers. Breakfast was a little pricey, but was nice quality and I loved the pancake machine. Man on reception was helpful.

The only thing that wasn’t clean was the chairs around the pool. It was just bad water stains though. Same problem as in most hotels, other peoples doors are loud when they come in at midnight and after. That might be user error though. No real faults to be found.

Location was great for us meeting our friends and just a couple of miles to the centre of Cambridge, also was good for us going to Ely too.

The only thing that was bad about our stay was Saturday night there was a disco that went on until nearly 1am and we were right above the function room, there was a note put under our door about moving to a new room, but we had been out all day, why were we put in a room over the function room when we were not going to the party, if there were other rooms available in a different area of the hotel?

Room was a good size and comfortable. Easy to get to Cambridge via taxi - for about £13. We walked back - which took about 30 mins. Breakfast was good. We also stayed for dinner - menu was fine and the food was good. Swimming pool was great - good to have the option of jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Very friendly staff - liked that they had free water available for hotel guests and visitors as it was very warm.

The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable - you could feel every spring. At minimum the sofa bed needs a mattress topper - my son had a very uncomfortable night's sleep.

Lobby area was warm and inviting. Nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee. Staff very friendly and attentive. Pool was lovely and warm with a great jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Breakfast excellent. Playground for kids is a nice touch. Easy reach of Cambridge city centre. Park and ride is 5 minutes down the road by car.

Room was a little tired and could perhaps use a lick of paint. But it was clean and comfortable. Dinner menu was very expensive for a basic offering.

For our 2 night stay the hotel suited us very well. The location was good and fairly good proximity to the hospital we needed to attend. The room was good for us, quiet, sufficient facilities and the breakfast was very good and set us up for the day.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but for a meal in the evening there was a specials choice one night but not the second night. Would have been good to have those extra choices on both nights.
