The location is very close to train station but no noise can be heard. Very beautiful traditional rooms with amazing ocean view. Nice private baths. Did not visit public baths. Lovely staff, clean, nice robes/kimonos and slippers provided, tea provided. In January private onsen baths were almost all available and we reserved two of them for 45 minutes each.

The water in the room was super cold. Fyi, there is no shower in the room, only in onsen baths. There is toilet in the room. And fyi, they are not tattoo friendly. However, it is allowed if you reserve a private onsen bath. There are three private options, but you reserve them only when you get there, on first come first served basis.

I loved the hospitality and comfort— a perfect place to unwind after a busy week. The onsens were impeccably clean, and the water was hot; I especially liked the semi-open-air bath. The wood stove in the lobby added a homey touch.

The internet connection in the room was weak (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you're here to relax). Dining options in the area are limited, but I highly recommend the Apricot Café just across the street.

The town is outside of the main area of Aomori and is a small beachside area. It was very quiet with minimal options for dinner available as the Ryokan was not serving meals at the time that we went. A young couple have opened a craft brewery across the road and there is an authentic ramen restaurant a few doors down. There is a small cafe called Apricot, across the road run by a lovely husband and wife. The ryokan was lovely. The staff friendly, the onsens were great and you were able to book a private onsen without a problem. The rooms were well equipped and view from the room was lovely.

Our second time staying here, it’s a rustic ryokan, and with access to privately booked onsen, that bit in particular is definitely appealing. Friendly faces and always helpful, at all hours of the day. Good place to enjoy snow shoe hiking if there is snow, which we had lots of!

It would be good to have warm water in the rooms, so we can wash hands and face wash etc. My partner improvised (with a small bowl we carry) when doing his shaving.

Inreally loved thw ambience inside. It was winter and my family wanted a traditional house. However it was winter, so I had to find a ryokan with a heater. This was a perfect match.

We booked two rooms, the Japanese traditional and Japanese Economy room ( I think). The Traditional room had a heater but didnt have humidifer unlike the other room. This led to the room being dry. Thankfully the beds were fluffy.

Fantastic traditional Onsen hotel. Great selection of onsens to choose from including private and outdoor options. Friendly staff and great location by the beach in a cute town with several different dining options.

Only accessible by bus or private railway but it's quite cheap and only 20 minutes from JR Aomori station.

Very clean rooms and probably one of the best mattresses (western style bed) i've ever slept on. 3 private onsens available, one of which is outdoors but without much of a view so you have privacy. Perhaps consider checking in a bit earlier because the private onsens are quite popular. Fantastic location right near the beach. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Very nice ryokan, with good private and public onsen available. The room was more than enough, with fresh towels and yukata each day I stayed. The staff were very nice, and I was able to ask them about certain things with combinations of English, Japanese and translation apps. I got injured before coming here sp the location is a bit far away from things, but very close to the station (2 minutes?). Note: not a negative as I chose this location because of the location originally.

The location for us was perfect since we planned paddle boarding at Sunset Beach Asamushi which was a short walking distance. The hot spring was great making my skin so smooth but it was a bit too hot. The beach was nice and clean.

There is no food available so you need to be prepared. Washing machine took forever to finish the job.

Lovely welcoming staff Very kind and helpful at all times if we had questions. Were able to reserve the onsen downstairs on both nights at a chosen time, and at one stage we had a short onsen in upstairs one (not reserved). Basic in room facility with own toilet and basin (cold water). Make sure you have any showering or bathing done before 8.30am or after lunch time, otherwise you’ll be sponge bathing in morning in the room, with cold water. Really comfortable beds. Beautiful tatami flooring. Nice view also.

Just be early with bathing in morning if you don’t like cold water sponge bathing. Nothing else to dislike - was an enjoyable stay overall.
