We had a beautiful, specious apartment with the sea view and private onsen on balcony on the 7th floor. The staff was very helpful to explain where to find all facilities we would need. The dinner was served in a private rooms. It was a meal that consisted of 9 dishes. The breakfast was excellent, a mixture of Japanese and Western food. everyone could find something for themselves. The bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was served in a sister hotel next door. The hotel is located at the sea shore with beautiful view but there is not not much around, only busy street. The water in private onsen was 60C so we had to add cold water to be able to immerge.

We booked the premium room with tatami area. Our room was really spacious and clean. I really liked how there was a private garden in our room—really peaceful and lovely. When we entered the room, we were met with the living room, with a view of the garden where you can spend time on the veranda! There’s also a mini kitchen with cutleries! The dressing room, restroom, bathroom, and the best of them all the PRIVATE ONSEN were separated. (All of the rooms were really big!) There were two bedrooms—one in the tatami room where they laid out the futon for us. I really enjoyed the kaiseki course at their restaurant Matsuhide—each course was carefully crafted and use of local ingredients. And their breakfast was superb! They drove us to the Seikai building—the breakfast buffet had a large variety of Japanese dishes. It was really good too. Sadly, we only booked for a night, so we didn’t get to enjoy their various facilities as much as we’d like (there were the Gahama tower and onsen). Another thing I’d like to mention was the tea ceremony building! Read the history posted in front and was amazed by the historical significance of it!

A bit far from the train station, would be convenient to travel by car?

The villa and maisonette experience was extraordinary, as both properties have unique views. The maisonette has lovely sea view and the villa has a beautiful small Japanese garden. Both properties are very private and the amenities are excellent. Although our stay was expensive in our view, it is worth the experience and we would love to return to this property again. We also love the private onsen which we used day and night and also we enjoyed wearing the traditional yukata and the thick overcoat which kept us warm during the buggy ride to the gahama seikai tower for breakfast. The breakfast spread was also very good. The housekeeper managed to retrieve my ear stud back button when i told them i lost it. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Nothing at all

Incredible! Wish I could’ve stayed more than 1 night. The public bath with the view of the ocean was breathtaking. The gardens and public areas around the resort are absolutely stunning, so many great little nooks. The staff is extremely attentive (one member was waiting for us with an umbrella as we were crossing the street, still a few minutes away from the resort!) and spoke English very well. We had the seaside villa and it was bigger than we thought - actually for 2 people it’s too big. The view from the second floor to the ocean is amazing as well. There are two private baths, a really spacious indoor bath and a semi open air outdoor bath. While the outdoor one was more picturesque, the indoor one was more comfortable for me. I liked the breakfast as well, both western and Japanese options.

The semi open air bath could be improved on two things: more lighting around the garden (if you bathe at night you can’t see much) and the stones should be better scrubbed, some of them were a little “slimey”. Several of the facilities like the public bath and the breakfast restaurant are at the other resort (SENKAI) and the staff takes you there with a cart. While it’s very attentive of them, I’d prefer if there was a good walking passage between the resorts.

We had an exceptional experience at AMANE resort GAHAMA , and I can’t praise this hotel enough. From the moment we drove in, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff, making us feel right at home. The hotel’s design feels like stepping into a historical museum, with beautiful, sophisticated interiors that create a unique atmosphere. We stayed in one of the Gaham Tower rooms, featuring a stunning view of the sea, an onsen, a jacuzzi, and even a traditional tea room. Although we missed the sunrise view due to cloudy weather, I can only imagine how spectacular it must be. The hotel is well-suited for international guests, with many staff members speaking multiple languages. The location offers convenient parking and superb dining options, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Truly, everything was fabulous. One of the most memorable moments was the surprise the staff prepared for our anniversary. I had briefly mentioned our celebration when requesting a specific table for dinner, and they went above and beyond to make it special. We received a beautifully crafted artwork by a local Kitsuki artist as an anniversary gift. This thoughtful gesture made us feel incredibly appreciated, and it added a personal touch to our stay. We’ll definitely be returning in a heartbeat. AMANE resort GAHAMA exceeded every expectation, and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

Modern hotel located by the seaside. Service was outstanding.They always have a smile.They were always ready to assist with any request or inquiries i had, and their smiling faces made me feel valued as a guest. The hotel staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Room amenities were excellent. The room was spacious ,well-lit and well maintained. Overall, i am highly recommended this hotel to anyone planning to visit this city.

Exceptionally disappointing dinning experience at 割烹松秀 I had high expectations for this establishment, but it fell short in several aspects. The restaurant staff seemed impatient through out the meal. She “”consistently”” brought out the next course before i had finished the previous one, resulting in a rushed and disjointed meal. She appeared disinterested and inattentive,displaying a lack of knowledge and enthusiasm when explaining the various courses and ingredients. This further diminishing the overall enjoyment of the meal . The quality of the food was underwhelming. Sadly, if you are seeking an kaiseki dining experience. I would recommend exploring other options.

It’s a perfect place for love fugue or a memorable family trip. The room is an entire apartment full everything you need. Living there for a few days, makes you feel like somebody special. Not only for the place itself but also for the treatment you receive from the stuff. The onsen on the roof top is nice but it doesn’t really have a pool on the balcony, there is a window in front of you. It’s possible to open it but still, you feel missing the contact with the sky and the sea….but, if you get the room in the tower, they all have the bath in the balcony and it’s amazing! We could wake up and see the sunrise on the sea or drinking wine and looking at the moon in the night. Amazing! The breakfast is very high quality! In was worth it every ¥! If you want to treat your girl as a queen for a couple of nights, that’s the place.

It’s a little leaf in the wood: the quality of the coffee and the coffee they put in the room is bad. Considering the high quality of every little detail in the room/hotel, I was expecting the coffee to be good too.

The hospitality of the staff was greatly appreciated. The accommodations were very spacious. The food, dinner and breakfast were excellent and liked the little details of shuttling us to the breakfast site.

The property is a less common destination for western travelers. Zero communication issues and interesting to experience the high service standards of domestic/Korean/Chinese visitors. Beautiful property.
