Beppu Budget Bliss: 5 ⭐️ out of 5 stars ⭐️ Amazing Hostel with Style and Substance! This hostel wasn't just a place to crash, it was an architectural dream come true! Stepping inside felt like walking into a high-fashion magazine. The mix of sleek, modern cement and warm wood created a cutting-edge industrial vibe that was both stylish and inviting. The Japanese design was truly eloquent - everything looked effortlessly cool. Perfect for Budget Travelers 🧳 Despite the designer digs, it was incredibly affordable. The kitchen and showers were sparkling clean, and they had all the amenities you could need. But the real star of the show was the café downstairs! The chef whipped up amazing meals, delicious hot drinks, and even transformed the space into a bar at night, perfect for socializing with fellow travelers. Location, Location, Location! 📍 The hostel's central location was another big plus. It wasn't too far from the train station, making it easy to explore Beppu, the "Hot Springs Mecca" of Japan. Young, Energetic Vibe ⚡️ The overall atmosphere at was cool, laid-back, and full of young, energetic travelers. I met some awesome people and had a blast hanging out in the cafe. 🙌 I'll Definitely Be Back! 🙏 If you're looking for a stylish, affordable hostel in Beppu with a fun, social vibe, look no further!

The dorm was under construction so they let me stay in a private double room and it was a beautiful Japanese style one, with tatami and a Mt Fuji paint. The hostel was in lo-fi style, very cool common aerea with low music. The kitchen was well equipped. The reception was at the beautiful café, vintage style where some days you could have dinner as well. I had some fried potatoes with egg and cheese and it was good. The staff was very friendly and available to give suggestions about places to see and where to eat, and they could speak a good English. The hostel was close to both bus and train station.
The shower had either very hot or cold water, it was hard to fix it at the right temperature

This hostel provides you with all the basics in a spartan sort of way. Facility is clean, but very basic. I stayed in dorms which were compact but useable. Kitchen small and basic. The common area a table and some metal stools.
As I said it was a spartan, nothing but the basics sort of place. The metal stools in the common are were my least favorite part of the expereince. Not the sort of gh that you want to hang out in on a rainy day.

I stayed 8 nights and this hostel is great! there is a comfortable kitchen for cooking. staff are very nice and bed is comfortable. they clean every day and there plenty of onsen few minutes away
the only things that I would like to be different is the common area that could have a sofa or more comfortable chairs. other than this this hostel is perfect 🥰

The location was very close to the station, so it was perfect to get access to food and bud for Beppu 7 hells. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Bed is two single beds, push together to be a large double bed. So we had plenty of bed space. You will need to rent their towels, but shampoo, conditioner and body wash is free. Also, please go early to Tanagewa onsen (you can skip the sand bath if it aint your thing)
We were traveling heavy, so the two flights of stairs almost killed us, and the staff offered to help which was very kind of her. It's a very sweet homey hostel so just make do with their facilities. The bed was hard.

Hostel with clean facilities close to Beppu Station, so most locations are easily accessible. E. g., the famous Takegawara Onsen is only a 3 minute walk away. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen which was quite well equipped and clean. If I ever go to Beppu a second time I would definetly stay there again.

The location is fairly convenient - close to the station, one of the city operated onsens with sand baths (Takegawara Onsen). The staff are very helpful and speaks fluent English and decent Chinese. It was a pleasure just chatting away. The cafe downstairs serves quite good food, with a reasonable selection of drinks at quite reasonable prices. Therefore going there for dinner is a pretty decent choice.
It is unfortunate that there also happens to have what appeared to be red-light-esque establishments near by, and while going towards the onsen (mentioned above) at night, it may be best to not follow Google, and instead go towards the main street, and turn then around to the onsen, as there are some unfriendly looking individuals wondering around the entrances of said establishments.

location is close to everything, except the Jigoku ofcourse. bed was soft, and I like it when they provide toilet wipes to clean. also appreciate the staff allowing me put my luggage before and after check in-out.
The upper bunker stair case is super difficult to climb.

Good location. Staff are helpful and friendly although they didn't speak much English. The cafe downstairs is cute. Facilities were clean. They helped us organise parking for a reasonable price.
Room was very small. Fine for our short stay but I think it would be annoying if you were staying for longer.
