Quadruple Room is a super spacious room with a row of 4 comfortable queen-size beds, one big sofa area with TV, separated bathroom/toilet and two basins. There are many powerpoint available within the room. One of the most comfortable room during our trip. We travelled by car. There are parking lots behind the hotel. The location is great as it is walking distance from Beppu Tower, You Me Town Beppu (shops started to close around 8.15pm local time), Lawson, 7-eleven and Tokiwa Beppu (closed at 7pm though). We even had late night shopping at Don Quijote (not very big though). The best thing is that their public onsen opens in the afternoon till next day morning. This will allow travellers, who return to hotel at night, to enjoy the onsen after a tiring day. The L10 onsen is bigger and with hair products available at the changing room.

The name of the hotel (on the building) may not be as visible at night. There is no mention of Hotel Aile at the main entrance.

The front desk staff were very friendly. There was even a hot spring and a disc music player on the rooftop! Overall, the place was very comfortable.

The only downside was that the outdoor hot spring for women was way too hot — it felt like the temperature wasn’t properly controlled, to the point where it could cause burns. Even the local Japanese guests didn’t dare to go in.

Location was excellent for shopping and tourist attractions. Very convenient for us as we took the highway bus stops were a very short walk away. The little touches in the room and other areas of the hotel show the care and attention put in to make guests feel so welcome. The indoor onsen was great too; didn’t try out the outdoor one as it was too cold.

Everything great!

I loved my stay here. The staff are great. It’s right by the sea. Everything you need is close by. Beppu is an interesting, quirky place. The onsen is lovely on the roof. The other onsen is very relaxing. My room was terrific with partial sea view. Has a real holiday feel overall.

The triple room excellent. The onsen heavenly. Breakfast different from other restaurants we’ve eaten in Japan but excellent. Daily soup great. The staff friendly and courteous. Large twin beds. Nice size room and not typical of other Japanese hotel rooms we stayed at.

The lighting in the living and bathroom could be brighter. Too dim. Only one elevator. Entrance to elevator access directly upon entering. Don’t know if there is security control to prevent unauthorized personnel entering the hotel rooms.

Nice and clean. Retro deco with attention to details. Real plants and flowers add life to the place. I like the rest & relax hall on the 20th floor where you have a good sea view. There is a vinyl record player where you can play oldie songs like Duran Duran, Beatles. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed the 2 night stay.

No body lotion, shower cap in the room. It’s only available at the public onsen.

hotspring is not very clean

The onsen are great, especially the rooftop one. Breakfast was filling and mostly tasty. There are lots of cute handwritten notices in English as well as Japanese. It's only five minutes' walk down the hill from the station and there are a couple of shopping centres right nearby as well as plenty of choice of restaurants. Staff are very helpful and many of them speak excellent English.

The colour scheme is all rather drab and tired, but everything else was fine.

The location is very near 別府tower, there are also some tourism shops around.The staff include who master in English or Chinese, so you don’t have to worry about communication. Otherwise, hot spring on the is available, it’s worthy to try at night. Also, I have to mention about the breakfast! It was fantastic to me! If you have chance to live here, do not miss!

Excellent location near downtown Beppu, views of the water from our room. Spacious quadruple room for our family. Supermarkets all within walking distance. Open air onsen on the rooftop was a novelty. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms are a bit outdated but clean and warm.
