Amazing value for the price. The onsen was big, had an outdoor onsen ("Rotenburo"), and was typically very quiet; you can have the whole place to yourself. I was working remotely/teleworking in the early morning, and the internet was surprisingly VERY fast. Lawson across the street and 2 diners/izakaya nearby with much cheaper prices than downtown. Frequent hotel buses to nearby results make it easy to stay here and get to nearby ski resorts and downtown Yuzawa without a car. Only downside, the bus service and pick up end a little early at 6pm. They offer lottery-based tickets for Kandatsu and Park Ski resorts for half price, which was fun and cheap!

You get what you pay for, and I mean nothing negative with this. The walls/doors were a little thin, so noise would be heard - this is typical for a hotel of this style built during the bubble.

I loved everything about this hotel. Family run and built by the owners grandfather with a natural spring Onsen - with both an outside and inside pool. Japanese style room with futons that were very comfy with extra mattresses provided so we could 'double up'. Free shuttle to and from the train station was great, especially as we were there in summer for Fuji rock festival. (Last shuttle was 0130am on festival days). They kept the Onsen open until after 2am for those of us late back too. Nothing was ever a problem.

The hotel has a warm homey feeling, and the owners are friendly and helpful. They provide free shuttle buses from and to stations and ski resorts around the area. There's a Lawson convenience store 5 minutes away from the hotel, but you can also order a dinner at your room for 2000 yen (not including tax). Our room was spacious and traditional with tatami.

For those with small kids or elderly, having a separate bathroom and toilet outside the bedroom might not be convenient. Especially if you're not comfortable in taking a bath in a public onsen. The onsen room temperature feels a bit cold, having to go out naked during the winter can make you catch a cold.

its was a Japanese style accommodation tatami room. Big room and equipped with futon and comfy comforters. As it was winter the room was equipped with heaters that warm up the room nicely. My 2 children aged 14 and 11 love the room. There is no meal provided but you can op for meals such as breakfast and dinner at a fee. We opted for dinner and it was bento set. Lovely. We enjoyed it alot. There was an onsite onsen with indoor and outdoor. It was lovely as it was cold so nice warm onsen was awesome for all of us. You can rent ski gears onsite and it was cheaper too. The ryokan employees were helpful and nice. So if you are going for ski, the nearest ski is Iwaparra. Gala yuzawa is further so we opted to Iwaparra. Kids love it. There was shuttle bus by accomodation to pick us up from the train station when we arrived. So just hear to the east exit and wait there. And addition to that, the ryokan also provide shuttle to the ski area. Do check the schedule at the reception. It was a plus point for us that they provide shuttle from and to ichigo Yuzawa train station.

it’s a family run hotel, they are very helpful! highly recommend to get the ski pass from the reception, it’s really cheap compare to getting on the ski resort, also recommend to hire ski equipment from them, cheaper as well. they have free shuttle bus to and from the ski resort, as well as to echigo Yuzawa station, but last bus is at 6pm, their buffet style breakfast is delicious, many varieties

couldn’t order dinner on the day, need to order in advance. rooms wall is very thin, you can literally hear the next door without even leaning on to the wall, or when people walking around. heater is quite loud and is switch on permanently during winter.

Our stay at Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality from the friendly staff. The hotel's facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay enjoyable and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and inviting, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring and driving. The onsen was a bit on the warm side, but very relaxing! Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Great location, good onsen, wide and clean room Great location near convenience store, expressway exit, Echigo Yuzawa station and other Yuzawa sights. We stayed during Golden Week, and the hotel still had a lot of guests. English laminated instructions were provided, and payment by credit card was available. They also had microwaves near front desk, drink vending machine and refrigerator near elevator. Lawson (convenience store) was walking distance down the road.

Bed is too dusty. When making our bed, we can see dust flying around and even landed on our water cup. Carpark locations are unclear. Just stated behind but behind where? After parked, you will need to walk back to front main entrance. Microwave, at lobby, need to bring down the food to lobby for reheat.

The staff is very helpful during our whole stay. They are very approachable and nice. Our room is with its own bathroom and shower so it’s convenient. The room is also so wide and spacious. Tje outdoor onsen is small but its nice.

None. The place is just a little far from the station but not a problem at all since they have a free shuttle bus to and from the station you just have to inquire for the available time. We happened to checked out very early in the morning and was catered efficiently. Just take note that we went during the NOT peak season.

Spacious shared spaces and lobby. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel shuttle to the station was really convenient! The onsen was great, though the information on the listing could have made it clearer that the rooms with shared bathrooms referred to the communal baths connected to the onsen where there are no private cubicles 😂
