Onsen was great, comfortable, large space and clean. We were fortuned to have a room with great view of the river and large. The location of the hotel is superb - the train station and main street are easily reachable. Breakfast is good yet maybe to add more continental section (fresh vegetables and fruits, cheese etc.) Room has with great view and large space. We rent a car from the car rental at the hotel - very convenient !

In the onsen - Please make sure that all soup types are given in English (e.g., Shampoo, Body, etc.) In the room, electrical sockets are barely in the room. The price per night is very high

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived. We booked dinner at the Japanese hotel restaurant on the night we arrived and had a multi course kaiseki meal which was absolutely incredible. The courses were elaborate ans detailed so the staff printed an English menu for us to read. We tasted the local sake and savoured the delightful flavours of the seasonal food prepared to perfection. We only stayed for one night so we didn't get to see the other hotel restaurants, but the morning buffet breakfast was held in the same area as the dinner and had a variety of different breakfast foods, from Japanese to continental as well as dumplings and pastas. The hotel has lovely public onsen baths that we enjoyed as well. There was an indoor bath and two outdoor ones which were perfect for relaxing after all the travelling. The location is pretty perfect because it's not that far to walk from the train station, and you can enjoy a stroll down the riverside by the bridge.

It was a perfect stay, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

I loved how conveniently it is located, just a short walk from the train/ bus station. The hotel itself is beautiful. Huge lobby with armchairs to relax. Small shops with lovely gifts. The reception staff was very professional and friendly. I booked a traditional Japanese room with futon beds. They were comfortable with soft doona that kept me nicely warm.We had a beautiful view from the top floor. The room was truly large and well appointed. Tatami mats were lovely to walk on. And the onsen was great. Huge and had a few options for soaking. The towels were available from the onsen reception. There were massaging chairs for a small fee of 300 yen. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

The location at Hakone Yumoto is excellent. The hotel is right across a bridge where a beautiful river separates the hotel from the busy station. Below the station is a bus stop with bus services that will take you to Kawaguchiko station, Gotemba Premium Outlets, etc. Do find out the bus departure times at the bus service centre nearby. One can also seek advice from the tourist information centre on how to get started with the Hakone Free Pass.

The private onsen is great. However, I noticed a used towel in the basket inside, which makes me think that someone might have used it earlier and it was not properly cleared up for the next user.

Had problem when checking in that I booked a two person apartment, but they then said that I only booked for one person, and then I had to pay extra for my husband. At the time of booking, there was not option to book for two people, but he room was for two so I automatically assumed that it was for two. Very confusing and frustrating, and took a lot of negotiation to sort it out.

We had twin beds. The size was nice space - well design room with hooks, slippers, robes, toothbrushes, hairdryer & anything else you may desire. Great location. Criss the bridge & right at the station & downtown area. Breakfast was amazing & started early. Water pressure was wonderful & water temps perfect we had riverside view which was wonderful. Pillows had buckwheat in them which was fun. E ate dinner at the hotel & it was lovely. My so did the public onsen & had a great experience. Glad we stayed here.

Nothing- it was all good.

Property is in great location from train station, just a short walk to their private elevator. Room was tired but clean. Western breakfast needs to be ordered and reserved the night before. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Turn in your plastic key or you will be charged 5000 yen!

Property was tired, carpet ripped in room, bathroom quite dated. We reserved a private onsen and it was just a small room with wood tub, nothing special. Western breakfast was ok, nothing great. We were here for one night so not a big deal. Service wasn’t as good as our other accommodations in Japan.

Location - easy access from Hakone station. 🥰 Rooms- we stayed western rooms newly renovated and our room was brilliant. 🤩 Breakfast included and catered for a wide variety of cultures not just Japanese 👍 Rooms and hotel were as described on the website and look just like the pictures 👌🏽 Views from hotel picturesque.

Could not fault this property.

Breakfast was good with a nice selection. Location was perfect across the Hakone-Yumoto station bridge. It had its private elevator for guests. The onsen is beautiful! Apparently you can also reserve a private onsen at the Front Desk. (We didn’t opt for that, we used the public one). When it was raining, the staff was passing out hand towels to the guests to pat themselves dry. How thoughtful! There’s a firefly park right near the hotel elevator and they offer flashlights for you to rent to go and see them. (June is firefly season). Highly recommend. My 9 year old daughter wants to go back already!

Close proximity to Yumoto station, excellent western & Japanese buffet breakfast, very large room with Western beds and Ryokan style futons for ones choice, high class in-house onsen, quiet room.

It is a large complex hotel and it feels more crowded than regular hotels. Yet staff was helpful and responsive, but sometimes less accessible
