The location couldn't be better, close to all transportation, the room is small and perfect for a solo traveler. For a solo traveler that is not going to spend much in the room is just ideal. The highlight is that you get to use the onsen from the main hotel. I thought that an onsen that is included in the price wouldn't be that nice... well it turns out that it was actually awesome. You don't get to stay long in the water as you won't handle it due to the hot ao this makes it just ideal. You go for a quick bath before your walking and another one before bed. My body is new! Also the staff is absolutely amazing and everyone seems to speak perfect English in Hakone.

I know it is not part of their culture, but I would add some lounge chairs to lay down. Just a suggestion. Nothing to do with the property but if you plan to come to Hakone please check the weather for wind and the Hakone Navi website for service disruptions. If the ropeway and the cruiseship is close, work around your itinerary and delay your arrival here. Otherwise your Hakone Free Pass will be a waste of money. But definitely don't miss Hakone! It's beautiful, people are really nice, they make you feel welcome.

Amazing location about 3 mins from Hakone Yamato station. Lots of lovely little spots to get food in the area. Good location to catch busses and trains for the Hakone loop. This place has a tattoo friendly onsen on level 6 of the main building. It’s quite small and simple compared to others in the area but the tattoo friendly side was much appreciated. The rooms are tiny but comfortable and very good for the price. The staff spoke English and were very kind and helpful. They kept our luggage on our check in day and check out day.

Rooms were small

Located just 2-3 minutes from the station, it is the perfect stay for one or two nights to explore the area. The room is a nice and small, with everything needed. There is hardly space for luggage, but it was fine for me and my back-bag. The hotel belongs to a 3-star Hotel just across the alley, which gives you access to their onsen on the 6th floor with wonderful view into the forrest.

The bathroom is so tiny, it is hard to use the toilet. However, this is often the case in Japan and no real inconvenience.

A small room, but with everything needed and a super-comfortable bed. Staying just over the road from the main hotel, this place was a perfect budget-friendly option. Guests are able to make use of the rooftop onsen in the.main building, which was fabulous and offered free shampoo, etc. Blissful!

There was nothing I can think of. As has previously been mentioned in other reviews, the bathrooms are tiny - which presented no problem at all.for me, but anyone especially overweight might struggle a bit.

Surprisingly good and much better than what some reviews have suggested! The room was quite small and the equipment basic, but it was more than good enough for a good night sleep. Bonus points for the free coffee in the hotel lobby, proximity to public transport and the access to the onsen which were absolutely wonderful (a yukata was additionally provided by the hotel). Hotel staff was very hospitable and accomodating. Would definitely come again especially for that price!

Very small room (just enough for a 1.85m tall and slim guy, might be not enough for someone bigger)

The hotel location is great, within 5 minutes walking distance (with shelter almost throughout the walk way) from the Hakone Yumoto train station. The room is in another building opposite the main hotel, with lift for access to different level. The room is clean and the bed is comfy. Air condition in the room worked well during hot days. I like the onsen spa at the roof top of the main building, especially the open air public bath, with nice forest and river view. Free and nice coffee served via Delonghi coffee machine at main building lobby.

The room is bit small, difficult to open luggage in the room if you are travel with big luggage.

Excellent location close to Hakone-Yumoto station, many shops (including convenience stores) within walking distance. Bed was comfortable, guests have access to several onsen in the main building just across the narrow street.

The blanket (comforter) looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for quite some time - there were several dark stains scattered across. I’ve only realized them in next morning‘s daylight, otherwise I would have asked for a new blanket for sure. Also, the bathroom is super tiny. Like really, really tiny - I could barely sit on the toilet without my legs touching the opposite wall.

Posada Suimei has a perfect location - very close to the station and beautiful river as well restaurants. The single bed room is located in a building across the street with a lift. However the facilities in the main building (eg coffee in voyer, neat onsen) was of a very high standard. Staff were fluent in English and extremely helpful and friendly

The bathroom & room is very small

Great value for money considering that you have access to the onsen at the main building, which is excellent. The public open air bath has a lovely view and on both occasions that I used it, I was the only person hence it felt like a private bath. The room is small but it works well for a solo traveller. Hotel is very close to the Yumoto station, just less than 5 minutes away. The staff are all very helpful and fluent in English.

I was given a smoking room despite booking otherwise. Thankfully the room smelled alright. Having read the reviews, it seems like this happens all the time so perhaps the management could look into improving this. Room is relatively clean although I found a strand of hair on the bed that clearly did not belong to me.

Very short walk to Hakone-Yumoto station! I loved the onsens! They were so nice and all of them are free to use. Small room but had everything I needed. There's a yukata for you to use, which gets replaced everyday.

Was able to hear people talking loudly and going in/out of their rooms. The floor I stayed at smelled like cigarette, but my room didn't.
