Location was perfect. 1 block to Hakone train station. Self check in was good. Loved the Pajamas provided. We realized later you can buy the Free pass (Hakone loop pass) at the train station at the machine or at the desk. We bought it at Klook online.

Very small room but was expected in Japan but we managed fine. Not much room to open your suitcase other than on the bed or outside the room. Recommend to offer info in the common area for things offered in the area. Public Onsen, restaurants etc. A person can also take a train a stop or two to access other restaurants or other things to do.

Important: This hotel does Not have an elevator. We managed to rearrange our suitcases into two small bags, which we took to the hotel. There is no place in the room for big suitcases. Also, there was No regular check-in, which means that you get the code for the main door by email and go to the room listed in your mail. The room itself was in a Japanese style (low bed but very comfortable) Under the hotel, there were two great restaurants: a pizza restaurant and a meat restaurant (where you BBQ yourself the meat). It's located in the center of the village (Hakone).

Please consider before booking: If you come by car (like us), you can park nearby (2000Yen for 24h) and leave most of your suitcases in the car. else you might need to think ..

I recently stayed here for one night and had a fantastic experience. The staff member was so kind and accommodating — he allowed us to check in a few hours earlier than the usual time with no additional charge, which was really appreciated. After checking out, we were also able to store our bags in the cupboard, making it super convenient. The space itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. While it might feel a bit tight if you’re traveling with suitcases, our backpacks fit perfectly, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The little amenities in the shared space were a nice touch too: there was a great selection of tea and coffee, and a microwave, kettle, and fridge station that made the stay even more comfortable.

One thing to note is that there’s a restaurant downstairs, and their bathroom door opens into the entrance hallway downstairs. It wasn’t an issue for us at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise or privacy as that’s where the luggage storage is also located. Overall, I’d definitely stay again and would recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and welcoming place

Loved that this accommodation is conveniently located just a couple minutes from Hakone Yumoto station. Nicely set up, cozy, clean, and secure double size bed room with tv, in suite toilet, sink and shower. Decor is modern mixed with classic wood. My room overlooked the quiet backstreet.

The door pin code for access to the accommodation was located quite a ways down in an email I received the day of check in, which made the check in procedure a little complex in the dark. The room was adequately sized, but the only sink in the room was the small side hand washing sink in the toilet area which made brushing teeth and routine tasks challenging. Would also love to see the addition of a couple more hooks and hangers for hanging things up.

Nice and clean and so close to the station and Hakone Yuryo, it was great. Very clean and nicely sized bed and very cozy vibey facilities. For a just one overnight stay (we did a day trip) its perfect.

IT IS AS SMALL AS IT ADVERTISES. The whole room was basically a bed, a small hallway to a bed, and a closet bathroom. You are getting what you pay for. I would advise not bringing large luggages, you will also have to carry them upstairs since there's no elevator. Me and my friend had one large checked size luggage to share and it barely fit in the hallway portion.

The hotel is really close from the station. The room is quite tiny but comfortable. We only had our backpacks as we had our luggage delivered to our next hotel which made it easier, therefore we didn’t have to carry it while climbing the stairs as they don’t have elevator which they already mentioned in their emails. They have basic amenities available. We are lucky to stay in the 3rd floor, fridge, microwave, kettle, tea, coffee and milk were readily available outside our room.

Great location, just across the street from the train station, and surrounded by lots of restaurants/shops. Staff was really helpful - arrived slightly earlier than check in time and we were allowed to check in early as our room was available. Written instructions were also provided for check in/out and were really clear and informative.

No stairs in the property. However, no complaints regarding this as we did already expect this (clearly mentioned in the room/hotel description and we made the booking knowing this).

The room was exactly as described and seen in photos. The room was clean and met all our expectations. The building was clean and the directions given for the room code and entrance were clear. The amenities were a great surprise! and the location was very convenient to a lot of good places to eat and the train station. There are no elevators, this was disclosed before booking so not a surprise but keep that in mind because you do have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Overall 10/10 would stay here again!

Great location, close to shops and train station. Easy instructions to get inside. Small but fine for two backpackers, would not be ideal if carrying a lot of suitcases or for really tall people. Stayed for one night, would not have stayed more than three nights.

I don't love a property that threatens additional cleaning fees for leaving rooms untidy. I felt like I had to document my room before we left so they didn't try to charge me more.

short walk from Hakone Yumoto. Just behind the main streets but quiet after 6pm as shops close early and not much traffic thereafter. convenience store just short walk away too. room was of good size for 2 adults 2 kids. had enough space to open luggage and even had dinner in the room as there was a good size low table. bathroom was huge, with a bathtub and tv.

deposited the luggage in a small storeroom with no lock and nobody mending it. all based on trust. no lift but room on level 2, still manageable. ok for a one night stay.
