Our favorite hotel this entire trip. Rooms were spacious and well accommodated, comfortable futon style modern bedding and adequate seating for two people. Absolutely beautiful attention to detail in the room furnishings, the small welcoming touches and interior of the hotel. So calm and lovely and reflected the atmosphere of the neighborhood overall. Front desk staff was minimal but always available and incredibly kind, warm and helpful. Great location in the peaceful Higashi Chaya district, too. I will always book this hotel when I return again. We wish we could’ve extended our stay if we didn’t have plans elsewhere!

The location was excellent. Walking distance to many of the attractions of Higashiyama area and close also to the bus without being on a main road. The bed was supremely comfortable, the bathroom impeccable. I appreciated the bathing products. Breakfast was served in my room and was great quality and generous. Local wagashi sweets daily was a welcome touch. The staff were very helpful and recommended a few fantastic restaurants that I tried and enjoyed. They also recommended some out of the way walks following my inquiry.

Was here for a weekend in Kanazawa after taking the Shinkansen from Tokyo. The Rashiku Kanazawa is a charming boutique hotel located in a quiet residential neighborhood adjacent to - almost inside of - the Higashi Chaya historic district. The rooms were comfortable and well finished, and the service was exceptionally helpful and polite, even by Japan standards.

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. If you’re looking to be as close as possible to the tourist attractions you can stay in the city center on the other side of the Asano River, but we loved the Rashiku’s quiet location. The restaurant was closed for the week s we were there, so a hot Japanese breakfast was served to us in our rooms instead.

What a simply stunning hotel! We adored our beautiful room with its incredibly warm and comfortable bed and the artisanal details in the furniture and room fittings. The bathroom was amazing! We ordered the breakfasts which were delicious - one morning a yummy (and beautiful) obento box delivered to the room and the next morning, a voucher for unassuming and incredibly delicious cafe in the nearby fish market. Probably one of the best meals we ate on the entire trip. The hotel position could not have been more ideal and the staff were so friendly, polite and helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will certainly try to return!

Great location in the old town so perfect for early morning walks and ducking back during the day. A western-style hotel in a building that looks traditionally Japanese from the outside, with some nice decorative touches. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice shower/bath area. The staff were helpful in checking us in early and ordering us a taxi to get back to the train station.

We didn’t opt for the included breakfast bentos as the reviews weren’t great - but there weren’t that many other options around locally, especially for someone gluten-free. The best local place was Cafe Tamon - or go to the fish market/get onigiri. Make sure you also book restaurants for dinner.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the historic neighbourhood of Kanazawa, which is very picturesque and quiet at night. Staff is very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice tatami and a view. You can easily walk to the main attractions and the surroundings are lovely, with a river passing by closely. Breakfast was included, but you had to walk a little while to get it, since they don't serve it at the hotel, unless you ask for it. We took once the breakfast at the food market, which was amazingly delicious, even if we had to walk 20 minutes to get there.

We took once the breakfast at the room, and it was the standard Japanese bento stuff which you can't compare with the breakfast at the market. Besides that, the hotel is worth the stay.

The location is perfect in the old wooden houses Geisha district. The room was fine and very quiet. There's some lovely arty decorations around. Free parking is a gem in that district. The gentleman at the front desk spoke great English and was extremely welcoming and helpful.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant anymore for breakfast,so you are given vouchers for various options in nearby restaurants - if you need to be early,or don't like onigiri for breakfast it becomes difficult. Beds were hard and pillows too.

Location was great as it was right in the Higashi Chaya district but on the quieter side so it wasn’t too crowded. About 15 min walk to Kenrokuen / Kanazawa Castle, and 3 min walk to the nearest bus stop. Room was clean and new, and we loved the fact that we could stay in a historical district in a historical building with traditional designs, but still get to enjoy modern facilities. There was also a welcome snack of Japanese wagashi which was a nice touch! Concierge speaks good English.

Just a minor point that the TV doesn’t have Netflix or YouTube and we couldn’t cast from our phones.

Great location! The staff was very kind and attentive. We found the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The breakfast was health conscious and tasty. The beautiful Wagashi served in the room was the cherry on the top.

There were no chest of drawers or even a shelf in the closet, so nowhere to keep your clothes other than the 4 hangers. Also, a box of kleenex in the bathroom is a necessity to many.

We loved everything about this Hotel, it was so clean, the staff is amazing! You can tell that the owners of the property really want to give you the best of everything. I have never stayed in a nicer place! Our taxi did not show up the day we needed it and the manager took us to the train station his self at 6:30am!

I wanted more time in this Hotel so I didn't stay long enough.
