Great location in the old town so perfect for early morning walks and ducking back during the day. A western-style hotel in a building that looks traditionally Japanese from the outside, with some nice decorative touches. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice shower/bath area. The staff were helpful in checking us in early and ordering us a taxi to get back to the train station.

We didn’t opt for the included breakfast bentos as the reviews weren’t great - but there weren’t that many other options around locally, especially for someone gluten-free. The best local place was Cafe Tamon - or go to the fish market/get onigiri. Make sure you also book restaurants for dinner.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the historic neighbourhood of Kanazawa, which is very picturesque and quiet at night. Staff is very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice tatami and a view. You can easily walk to the main attractions and the surroundings are lovely, with a river passing by closely. Breakfast was included, but you had to walk a little while to get it, since they don't serve it at the hotel, unless you ask for it. We took once the breakfast at the food market, which was amazingly delicious, even if we had to walk 20 minutes to get there.

We took once the breakfast at the room, and it was the standard Japanese bento stuff which you can't compare with the breakfast at the market. Besides that, the hotel is worth the stay.

The location is perfect in the old wooden houses Geisha district. The room was fine and very quiet. There's some lovely arty decorations around. Free parking is a gem in that district. The gentleman at the front desk spoke great English and was extremely welcoming and helpful.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant anymore for breakfast,so you are given vouchers for various options in nearby restaurants - if you need to be early,or don't like onigiri for breakfast it becomes difficult. Beds were hard and pillows too.

Location was great as it was right in the Higashi Chaya district but on the quieter side so it wasn’t too crowded. About 15 min walk to Kenrokuen / Kanazawa Castle, and 3 min walk to the nearest bus stop. Room was clean and new, and we loved the fact that we could stay in a historical district in a historical building with traditional designs, but still get to enjoy modern facilities. There was also a welcome snack of Japanese wagashi which was a nice touch! Concierge speaks good English.

Just a minor point that the TV doesn’t have Netflix or YouTube and we couldn’t cast from our phones.

We loved everything about this Hotel, it was so clean, the staff is amazing! You can tell that the owners of the property really want to give you the best of everything. I have never stayed in a nicer place! Our taxi did not show up the day we needed it and the manager took us to the train station his self at 6:30am!

I wanted more time in this Hotel so I didn't stay long enough.

Ideally situated in the historic area. Walking distance to the Castle ,Kenrokuen Gardens and the Art Gallery of the 21st century. It was a short cab ride from the station. It was very quiet. Close to excellent restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was attractively decorated and the rooms were comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend it.

It was excellent. Didn’t dislike anything

The room is spacious, clean and beautifully designed, really warm and comfortable, the best is the location --- it is literally one block from one of the most famous sightseeing spot ひがし茶屋街, so I was able to walk there to eat and buy stuff and still go back to my room store the many things I purchased and even use the toilet in my own room instead of using the public one.

It would be great if the staff can speak a little more English :) Also the breakfast box was all cold food and was not impressive.

A charming boutique hotel in a great location. Stylish, spacious and very quiet, views to the hills and central to the old part of town. Lovely touches in the room, including delicious local sweets every day. Staff very kind and helpful and loved how they knew the cold and heavy rains were good for the yellow tail fish season.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, right in the Higashi Chaya District. The room was generously spacious and just as beautiful as the entranceway. The staff were very helpful. We had had our bags shipped from Tokyo to Kanazawa and they were in our room when we arrived.

Would have loved a breakfast option.

It is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood with lots of shops and eating areas around. Friendly staff that can help you with anything. The rooms are clean and cozy. It was definitely worth a visit, and it made our stay in Kanazawa even more special.

Small remark: no hooks for towels in the bathroom!
