Our room was huge a table with 4 chairs, 2 double beds and 2 single bunks overtop, separate toilet and bathroom. Location was fantastic a short walk to the market, castle, gardens, and historic areas. We walked from the train station about a 15-20 minutes walk. Lots of restaurants not far. Book at Fuwari if you can. It was recorded by the hosts and very good. One of the best meals we had in Japan. We also got food and heated in in the kitchen from the frozen section at the 7/11 around the block and the stores in the market. Well priced laundry as well.

The hotel has a hostel kind of feel to it - key code check-in /out, bicycles for hire, breakfast bookable but not inclusive. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. The hotel is five minutes walk from the castle park and about 10 minutes walk from Higashi Chaya old town. It is avout 20 minutes walk to the train station and about £5 by taxi.

We booked a triple room which had lots of space, but was somewhat inconveniently divided so that there was an almost redundant extra room, but this made the sleeping quarters a bit cramped and a tiny bathroom. however, there were additional shared bathrooms/ showers on each floor which helped alleviate bathroom arrangements.

Simply styled in a good part of town. Close to the Omisho Market and one of the old tea districts. The rooms are small - it’s got a hostel vibe. There is a cute Sauna and Jacuzzi up top for private hire thats worth paying for if you’re staying as a guest. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It would be useful to have a bit more smart storage space in the rooms. Whether that’s more hangers, or a deeper well under the bed to keep luggage. Maybe even some hanging shelf’s. It gets messy quick when all you have is a bed and 2 hangers to organise your clothes.

The "mood" of the place, really modern and relaxed. The staff is very kind and supportive. The room was good; there is also a lounge to relax and reading books and travel guides. We have breakfast (Japanese style) that was very plentiful. I also enjoyed a Yoga class in the fitness room, in the late afternoon :-) The hotel is 20 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes walk from the Market.

Nothing; a part from the very tiny sink in the bathroom..it was just enough to wash your hands. I also can advice to provide breakfast menu in advance.

Price/Performance balance is outrageous in this hotel. The room is so convenient for a solo traveler. Its location is just steps away from the fish market. Internet connection is super fast. The bed is really comfortable. Hot water is solid. Quiet rooms. Really well-decorated, small but cozy rooms. I forgot my earphones in the room, and while I was in another city on my trip, they sent them to my next destination. They were really helpful! I would definitely stay again; next time I will be in Kanazawa.

Maybe they can put kettles in the rooms and accept that it is a normal thing. Because it's the only missing thing in a great room, they are one step away from being excellent about equipment. :-D

Excellent value for the money! I got the room with a private bathroom and found it to be a good size for one person. More narrow than a standard hotel room, but the loft bed creates a lot of floor space. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. The tablet at the front desk gives you the option to check in and out on your own, but I had some difficulty with it and the staff were there to step in and help, which I appreciated. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station, but very walkable for all the major attractions in Kanazawa. The amenities in the shared kitchen looked good, though I didn't personally make much use of them.

I wish I had realized sooner that you could rent a kettle—because I used the stairs rather than the elevator during my stay, I didn't see the sign indicating I could've rented a kettle for free instead of using the shared one in the kitchen. Also, since this is technically a hostel, you can expect to hear a bit of noise in the hallway, with people using the shared bathrooms. It wasn't super annoying, but it was noticeable. One thing I would have loved is if the rooms had deadbolt locks on the inside. The electronic keypads are fine for going in and out, but a deadbolt would offer some additional peace of mind. Also, although it wasn't an issue for me, the room was rather dark, so people who plan to do work while there may find it a bit difficult.

1. It was very well designed. There was a ledge on the wall all along the side of the bed, so even though the room was fairly small, we were able to sit and use the ledge as a table. Still, we had to put our luggage underneath the bed so that it wouldn't obstruct walking around the room. 2. The common toilets were close by, and there was no problem getting to the shower or sink. 3. At the train station, there is a very helpful and large tourist information office that you can ask where to board the bus to come to the hotel. You can walk from the station to the hotel, but taking the bus is better. 4. The common kitchen was very spacious and well-equipped. You can buy your food and eat in the kitchen. 5. There was a coin operated washing machine (Y200) and dryer (Y100) in good working condition. 6. The hotel is very new and everything was in tip-top working condition.

The door has a talking lock (no joke), so that every time I close the door, it will talk. At night it tends to wake my wife after I come back from the toilet.

The staff was extremely friendly. They also allowed to leave our luggages with them before checking in and they even took it to our room which was a nice surprise. We really like the vibe of this place and our room. It was really a 'hygge' style. Also, during our stay, at night, Kanazawa was hit with an earthquake (first time during our trip to Japan). It was a little bit scary to be woken up in those conditions, but shortly after the staff announced through the speaker in the room that everything is fine and the building is completly safe to stay in it and they will keep us updated.

Heera (and everyone we interacted with) was excellent, lovely, welcoming and helpful. The room was super clean - we had a double room with a bathroom. The water pressure was fantastic. Comfy bed and pillows. And it is in a really great location for visiting the Omicho Market, Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Gardens. We would definitely stay there again.

Really small niggles only. The door to the loo was totally so close to our knees 😆 another few inches would have made a huge difference. Not enough hooks or hangers for clothing and towels - when there is space for more. Metal brackets on the bed could be covered as I caught my foot multiple times.

LINNAS as a hotel was awesome. They have great facilities and super nice staff that even speak English. The location is right where you want to be for Kanazawa, and I would definitely stay here again.

No complaints about the property itself, but the Japanese style family room that my friends and I booked was just a bit uncomfortable. The futons were very thin so it felt like we were just sleeping on the tatami floors. This shouldn’t be an issue in any of their other room types though.
