We had a very big room with a fantastic view. Staff was friendly. The hotel facilities like the onsen-like bath on top floor are a very nice extra. It's easy to get there by bus from the train station and most areas in the city are easily walkable. The market is just 2 minutes by foot and there are plenty of food places nearby.

Clean, neat and helpful staffs. Hotel in a great location just beside Omi-cho market, and walkable distance to other places of interest like Higashi Chaya District or the castle etc if u like to walk… Kanazawa Loop Bus stopped just by the hotel Omi-cho market and beside it is the hotel. Taking bus to Kanazawa Station can easily be the Kanazawa Loop Bus or any local buses that have 金沢駅 written on the bus front… From Kanazawa Station, it is an easy 15mins walk away… Right opposite the hotel, there is a small mall for shopping. And few convenience shops nearby…

Spacious enough family room with bathroom divided in 3 parts ( toilet, bathtub, sinks). Good breakfast buffet in a very nice restaurant with beautiful design. Beautiful Onzen area with 2 tubs, one of which outside. Tanzen Outfit was provided to go to the public bath. Washing room with washing machines to be used at good price. Conveniently located next to market and tourist attractions and walking distance to train station. As we didn't want our room to get serviced they provided us with fresh towels ( bag on the door nob) and water bottles anyway. Room and hotel interior very nice and modern.

No reading light next to bed. When you travel as a family some like to stay up later reading without disturbing the others with light. There were only ceiling lights. No traditional Japanese breakfast or fresh fruit, but "Paella" ( a little bit strange to offer it for breakfast).

A wonderful, reasonably priced hotel close to everything! Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows, and a decent sized bathroom with seperate toilet. However the hotel has its own Onsen style public bath on the top floor, so every morning and night I was soaking up in that bath rather than using my own room bath! So good! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the coffee shop downstairs was lovely to sit and have a cup of tea and cake in. The hotel is right next door to the Omicho Market, and only 15 minutes walk to Kanazawa Castle/Kenrokuen Garden, just perfect…although they also have free bicycles for use if you prefer to ride there. Also bus stops right next door make it easy to get around town to further distances.

Better window coverings would be good. The two room windows have blinds, but they are not blackout blinds and so the sun comes in quite early and makes the room very bright (I was there in summer). So I highly recommend having an eye mask for the morning.

Clean room with a comfortable bed in a great location. The communal hot bath and sauna upstairs are clean and very nice. The gym is small but it's a huge plus when you're traveling and need a spot to work out a little bit and stretch (no weights though, just an exercise bike and a treadmill). The town of Kanazawa is amazing and we had a great time; HOWEVER, avoid the Omi Ichiba seafood market located next to the hotel, it's an overpriced tourist trap. Get out to other parts of town for better meals and better value - for example, Betsuin street is fantastic.

A few light weights in the gym would be nice.

Great location as we could walk to the historical parts as well as the castle. This hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Omicho market; and although quite pricey, we had great meals there. The hotel had a great vibe, great breakfast menu (although we opted to explore different cafes for breakfast). There is a Family Mart just outside the property so that was really convenient. The room was a really good size, has modern lighting and with a sofa and table.

The parking was pricey as we had to pay a new fee every time we took the car out ie it wasn't a nightly charge. In the end we did not drive anywhere but opted to walk, hence the location was excellent.

The hotel is clean and the room is big compare with other hotel in Japan. The staff was so friendly and you can find all the facilities you need in the hotel. They even have a shared bath with open air bath which is so comfortable. The bicycle rental is free. From Kanazawa station it's only 15 mins walk but if you are too tired to walk you can take a bus. There is a bus stop infront of the hotel. The price is reasonable with this location can all the facilities they provided. This is the BEST hotel. If I'm travelling again to Kanazawa definitely going back to this hotel.

Fantastic , my greatest stay during my Japan trip. I love the design of the room soooo much and it is so much bigger compared to other Japan's hotel rooms . The room is designed in a way that when you first enter the room , it was a laminated wooden floor without carpet, that is where the bathroom and toilet are . The bathtub , basin, and toilet are separated into 3 different spaces . So, no need to wait for other family members, you can brush your teeth and at the same time others taking his/ her bath. . After that is the sleeping area with the bed which the floor is carpeted . I like that very very much, It is more hygienic because you can park your shoes at the laminated floor area without stepping into the sleeping area. The hotel is around 15 to 20 min walking distance from Kanazawa station . You can also take a bus from Kanazawa. I love the hotel soooooo much , however , I only stay one night there . Hope that I can stay longer .

We loved our stay at the square hotel KANAZAWA. It’s only about 950m from Kanazawa Station. It’s an easy walk to the station or Kanazawa Castle, Geisha District etc. Located near the fish market and the quieter side of town. The hotel allowed us to borrow their umbrellas and offer free bicycle rentals. Communication was wonderful. Hotel was sparkling clean. Provides an ice machine ain a couple of floors, yukatas, slippers and an onsite onsen, just to name few.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly, the daily room service was excellent & the checkin & out process was simple. There is also parking available which don't do what we did & pay at the meter, go see them inside the hotel to pay. The room was spacious & had everything we needed.

If I was to pick anything it would just be that it's a good 15-20min walk from the main station. The buses were a little difficult to navigate & the main bus that does that loop wasn't operating during the weekdays. The other main buses also do not take the IC & you need exact money to give the bus driver which is hard to navigate with language barrier & exact coins quickly as you try exit the bus.
