For a first time in a capsule or dorm environment we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The private pods were very cosy, perhaps a little too warm in the gents pods room according to my husband. Lovely showers and wash area.

The mattresses were a little thin. The social space a bit hard. Just stools.

The staff doesn't speak English besides checking you in and out, which is annoying. They also don't provide luggage storage after checkout, which is not so great

I recently stayed at this hostel and had an exceptional experience! Another great perk is that they provide fresh towels and pajamas daily, and they change the bed linens every day as well—a rare and much-appreciated service. The super-fast WiFi was perfect for staying connected, whether for work or leisure. The shared space was cozy and equipped with essentials, including a microwave, making it easy to prepare simple meals or snacks. Plus, if you’re traveling with a bicycle, the hostel even has dedicated parking for bikes. Overall, this hostel truly goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and convenient. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed place to stay!

Clean, well-managed, and convenient location. Floors are divided by gender and you need an electronic wristband key to access your respective floor. Lockers were larger than other capsule hotels I’ve stayed at.

For consecutive night stays you have to check out every morning to check back in every evening due to the hotel’s cleaning arrangements. The bathroom ventilation fan was also very loud so it was hard to fall asleep. More of a guest problem but when I stayed there there was also a group of guests who were talking at full volume late at night in the sleeping room despite signs in multiple languages saying no talking allowed.

Staff is friendly but English is limited. The place is spotless clean. Shower room is huge. Love their shoes off policy. Location along the main road just opposite the morning market. The provide pyjamas, towel and toiletries for use.

No pantry or other facilities. Small lounge at the entrance (not comfortable). Capsule is comfy but small-ish (normal capsule size). Not hostel vibe. Weird that they make everyone vacate at 10am - 2pm for cleaning so u see people sometimes sleeping on the table at the lounge. There are better place to stay nearby for the same price so look around.

Despite the compact size of the capsules, mine was well-appointed with a cozy mattress and soft bedding, along with personal storage space and a privacy curtain. The location proved to be convenient, with easy access to various attractions and transportation options. Overall, the combination of clean facilities, cozy accommodations, and polite staff made for an excellent stay. I highly recommend Kanazawa Capsule Hotel Musashimachi to anyone seeking a convenient and comfortable lodging option in the heart of Kanazawa.

Everything was explained very clearly, and was clean and comfy. We had three male capsules and one female - male capsules are on several floors, female capsules are just one floor and limited. We could leave our luggage before the check in. We were provided with pajamas and towels, the bathroom had all sorts of cosmetics available for use. The capsules were great size, with enough ventilation and privacy. We really liked our stay and would come again.

The only item missing was a more relaxed and home-feeling lounge room - with it being just in front of the entrance we felt like sitting on the street and did not feel like hanging around in the evening, and being a mixed male-female group we had to part our ways in the evening rather than staying in the lounge and talking.

. I've been puzzled by some of the reviews as people don't seem to have done their research. This is a capsule hotel ~ they all close during the middle of the day. They change all of the beds every day ~ think how long it takes to do one! The staff are really friendly and helpful, it's spotlessly clean. The best thing is thr location. Right opposite the market, less than 25 mins walk to the tea house District,, the samurai district, the castle and the garden. All the little shops and cafes for food and drink. I cant rate this place highly enough.

The hotel was decent and had everything you needed, in fact the capsule bed was far more nicer compared to others I’ve stayed at. The staff are friendly and professional.

The lockers are far too small, if you have a travel backpack you’ll struggle to get in and it’s only room for one so if you have more than one luggage you’ll have to get creative. The WiFi was also not great, I could not watch anything on my iPad as it would just stop working at some point.

Location is close to the market and other tourist attractions. On foot the accommodation to a 10-15min. Not a complaint but a note to fellow travellers who may have a similar itinerary. I enquired to see if I could store my luggage when I arrived at to Kanazawa around 11am. Cleaning hours are between 10am -2pm so no one will be stationed but staff were happy to come if you give them a call. I think like most tourists, I only had a data only sim so that wasn't an option for me. Not a big deal because the station had many lockers but good to know in case you're travelling with alot of baggage.

Lockers in the room were a bit narrow. There are two rows, upper and bottom. Physically struggled to put my luggage into the upper locker so i left it in a space out of the way like some other travellers.
