For a first time in a capsule or dorm environment we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The private pods were very cosy, perhaps a little too warm in the gents pods room according to my husband. Lovely showers and wash area.

The mattresses were a little thin. The social space a bit hard. Just stools.

The staff doesn't speak English besides checking you in and out, which is annoying. They also don't provide luggage storage after checkout, which is not so great

Kanazawa capsule is located midway between the train station and historic district. The showers, sinks, and lockers are on one floor and in great condition. The capsules are also great. Overall a good value.

The ambience of the place is alienating and depressing. The desk staff seem dissatisfied and lethargic. You have to turn in your room key to get your shoes and vice versa. You are also not allowed to stay in your room while they clean half the day. The communal area is not very social: People are eating cup ramen and white bread out of bags as they scroll on their computers.

Spacious capsules, amenities including pyjamas, bathroom stuff etc. included, it was actually a very good value for the money. Breakfast was “served” in the form of a Starbucks voucher for 1000 yen/person, which I’ll leave up to anyone to decide if that is a good or a bad thing, but for two vouchers we could get a pretty generous starbucks order (two savoury dishes, two sweet dishes and one coffee), so I guess maybe that is alright.

I recently stayed at this hostel and had an exceptional experience! Another great perk is that they provide fresh towels and pajamas daily, and they change the bed linens every day as well—a rare and much-appreciated service. The super-fast WiFi was perfect for staying connected, whether for work or leisure. The shared space was cozy and equipped with essentials, including a microwave, making it easy to prepare simple meals or snacks. Plus, if you’re traveling with a bicycle, the hostel even has dedicated parking for bikes. Overall, this hostel truly goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and convenient. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed place to stay!

Clean, well-managed, and convenient location. Floors are divided by gender and you need an electronic wristband key to access your respective floor. Lockers were larger than other capsule hotels I’ve stayed at.

For consecutive night stays you have to check out every morning to check back in every evening due to the hotel’s cleaning arrangements. The bathroom ventilation fan was also very loud so it was hard to fall asleep. More of a guest problem but when I stayed there there was also a group of guests who were talking at full volume late at night in the sleeping room despite signs in multiple languages saying no talking allowed.

Staff is friendly but English is limited. The place is spotless clean. Shower room is huge. Love their shoes off policy. Location along the main road just opposite the morning market. The provide pyjamas, towel and toiletries for use.

No pantry or other facilities. Small lounge at the entrance (not comfortable). Capsule is comfy but small-ish (normal capsule size). Not hostel vibe. Weird that they make everyone vacate at 10am - 2pm for cleaning so u see people sometimes sleeping on the table at the lounge. There are better place to stay nearby for the same price so look around.

Despite the compact size of the capsules, mine was well-appointed with a cozy mattress and soft bedding, along with personal storage space and a privacy curtain. The location proved to be convenient, with easy access to various attractions and transportation options. Overall, the combination of clean facilities, cozy accommodations, and polite staff made for an excellent stay. I highly recommend Kanazawa Capsule Hotel Musashimachi to anyone seeking a convenient and comfortable lodging option in the heart of Kanazawa.

The hotel was well located in the center, not too far from walk to the places to visit. The common areas and bed were very clean and they had a lot of hygiene products available. It was a great experience for a first capsule hotel.

Mattress was a bit hard but it's a capsule hotel so it was a bit expected. You have to leave the place at 10am which was fine for me but it's good to know.

Everything was explained very clearly, and was clean and comfy. We had three male capsules and one female - male capsules are on several floors, female capsules are just one floor and limited. We could leave our luggage before the check in. We were provided with pajamas and towels, the bathroom had all sorts of cosmetics available for use. The capsules were great size, with enough ventilation and privacy. We really liked our stay and would come again.

The only item missing was a more relaxed and home-feeling lounge room - with it being just in front of the entrance we felt like sitting on the street and did not feel like hanging around in the evening, and being a mixed male-female group we had to part our ways in the evening rather than staying in the lounge and talking.
