We really enjoyed our stay at Solo Kanazawa. The location is excellent—right next to the fish market, a shopping mall with supermarkets, and just a short walk to the park and Kanazawa Castle. So many attractions were within walking distance. The hotel felt very modern and stylish, and we especially loved the onsen, which we used every day.

One thing to note is that there is no daily cleaning service. While this wasn’t a major issue for us, it would be helpful if this were made more clear on Booking.com for future guests.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, quiet and very comfortable. I had a Japanese King room which was very spacious with a nice tatami seating area. I used the public bath every day which was amazing, a really beautiful space. Breakfast was delicious and huge, and I ate in the restaurant one night. It was an incredible meal, and they were kind enough to accommodate my pescatarian diet. Highly recommend trying it. The location of the hotel is great, right across the road from Omicho market and you can walk easily to the castle, gardens and other areas, as well as the station. I would definitely stay here again, such good value for money for such a beautiful place. I loved it.

The location is fantastic, right across from the fish market, and we were able to walk almost everywhere during our stay. It’s a great base for exploring the area. The rooms are small, but the beds were comfortable. We had two rooms for our family of four (with two teens)—and that was definitely necessary. I wouldn’t recommend trying to fit a family with older kids into one room unless your children are still quite young. The onsen was a nice touch, though not very large, especially when busy. Still, it was clean and a relaxing way to end the day.

One room we booked—the corner king—had an odd layout. A large, low table took up nearly all the floor space and couldn’t be moved, which made it difficult to walk around the room. Some of the other design details in the room felt off as well, with functionality sacrificed for aesthetics

Great place to stay in Kanazawa (from different point of views). Location walking distance to many landmarks and more importantly restaurants; a short bus ride from the Train station. Very attentive and client oriented staff, helped with many inquiries with polite and friendly approach. The room is definitely one of my favourite from the whole trip: loved the simplicity and cleanness. The breakfast is totally recommended. Interior and overall design set a peaceful mood for the trip.

I haven't been to the onsen so can't comment on it. It'd be great to have more space in the room for the luggage, but it's not critical if you're travelling light.

Our stay at SOKI Kanazawa was wonderful! Within a ~10 minute walk from Kanazawa station we reached the hotel that is located in the city centre of Kanazawa across from the Omicho market (a must see if you‘re into food and especially sea food). The atmosphere of the hotel as well as the room is relaxing and calm. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the tasty breakfast which is a lovely arrangement of different things and changes everyday. From the hotel every sightseeing spot of Kanazawa is within walking distance in about ~10 to ~20 minutes (Kanazawa Castle, Kenroku-en, Nomura-ke Samurai Heritage Residence, Higashi Chaya District, Oyama Shrine,…).

Unfortunately we couldn‘t go to the public bath of the hotel, because we‘re tattooed and hard to cover with the stickers (100¥) the hotel provides

Loved the clever design of this hotel and the attention to detail. Comfortable beds, lovely Onsen and the breakfast together with the breakfast room was very delicious, especially the soup - yum!! Great location near the bus route and a walk away for all the sites.

Our room was pretty small but we found a way of using the side platform of our bed to put our closed bags which was quite handy. Is this hotel on Instagram I wonder as it seemed to attract quite a few travellers in their early 20s when we were there..not that that's bad, just that it gave a different vibe a some points!

Lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities. Lovely onsen. Convenient location near cafes and kombini's and the covered market.

There was no storage space/ area, even a small cupboard or wall shelves in the corner of the room would have been helpful. Breakfast capacity was very limited and had to be pre-ordered but we missed out even 2 days in advance. More capacity for breakfast would have been helpful or make it clear upon booking the room or check in that you needed to pre-order breakfast as soon as you arrived.

The design of the hotel was quite nice it was somewhere between a western and Japanese hotel. It was nice that they gave us loungewear as well as other toiletries during our stay. There was a on-site onsen which was open to the hotel guest as well as space for baggage storage in case you arrived for checking-in time or had to check out early.

Even though they had a paid laundry service within the hotel the dryers did not work as well so a lot of guests had to spend more money and time drying their clothes which meant that there was a long time between washer dryer units being available for use by others. Also guests had to come to the second floor in order to fill their water jugs, this was mainly an issue if you were located on other floors. On the floor that we were located on there was no pantry or location for water that I was aware of.

It was our second stay at SOKI Kanazawa. The onsen is still amazing and you get a cold milk coffee afterwards for free. I absolutely love the smell and the products they use here. The breakfast room is still amazing and they serve now a different set per day (this wasn't the case two years ago, so they improved it). The staff is super friendly and helpful. This time, we also got to buy two sets of the Japanese pyjamas. We wanted to purchase them two years ago, but back then, it wasn't possible. They started selling them from March (2025) onwards.

The furniture in our room was okay, but the one in my parents' room was a bit worn out.

The design of the rooms and hotel facilities in general were really great. The public bath was the best I experienced in a hotel hands down! The welcome sweet was truly delicious and the staff was very helpful and nice.

There was no room to open our 2 large luggages. While travelling Japan for 3 weeks it is hard to keep the size of our luggage to a minimum. Clothes + souvenirs take up lots of space and so the room was quickly messy due to that. Yamato delivery was not serviced on sight. But a YM office was just a few minutes walk away so it wasn’t too difficult to do anyway.
