Apartment location, having a 8-10mins walk from the Kyoto railway station and all the connecting buses, was supremely comfortable. Aeon mall across the street has all the amenities and shopping one would want to do. Although there is a railyway line next to the apartment, inside the room was suprisingly quiet. a great place to stay.

Perhaps extra pan in the kitchen would have helped.

Loved loved loved BON Kyoto Station. It's such a quirky and wonderful hotel and such great value. Finding it from Kyoto station was kinda weird though... and I didn't expect it to be where it was... down a back alley... but wow I'm so glad we stayed here. In the end, the walk to Kyoto station was easy (we did it a few times), about 10-12 minutes, and the hotel was also close to some great food options and the massive AEON mall which was a bit of fun and very handy, particularly to buy beautiful fruit at the fresh market downstairs... something we'd been craving for a while in Japan. Our room at BON was just amazing - two double beds (nice to spread out and get a ready good sleep away from Mr Snore) and two balconies including an absolutely huge one we could have a had a party on (if it wasn't so cold). The view was great - we could see lots of Kyoto from our room, and were just above a local train line but had a view across the way to the Shinkansen line which was kinda cool. Kyoto was my favourite place in Japan and this hotel just added to the intrigue.

Beds were a bit hard... but we found that across most of our Japan trip. Reception not that friendly and not much English, but didn't really matter to us.

very close to the largest Mall / supermarket in Kyoto meant we were able to go shopping of items and food until 9pm each day.

a little outside of the central of Kyoto. Not a big deal but meant getting a bus. to the central. The bus can take up to 60 mins as its very busy and traffic. Compensated by the Aeon supermarket and Mall meant we could enjoy the evening in the Mall, shops and arcade. The room we got was essentially open plan which was a little tricky when the early sleepers had to try an sleep with others still up.

Great location, 10 mins easy walk from Kyoto Station, close to shopping and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English. Twin room was very clean, good size with separate bathroom and toilet. Bathroom heater/clothes dryer an added bonus. Kitchenette well equipped. We really had all we needed for our 4 night stay in Kyoto!

We really liked that you could see outside and get out onto the small balcony (although a bit tricky with the bed so close to the sliding door!) The balcony was also an great place to dry washing, although it was quite dusty/dirty. Bit unpleasant having the smoking area at the bottom of the stairs.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station and 6 minutes to Toji Temple. The convenient bus service 207 that goes to Gion and Kiyomizu temple also passes close by. Good location to explore central Kyoto. Family Mart convenience store is a 5-minute walk away. There are a few small eateries around the hotel too.

I love walking, so I don't mind the distance from the train station. But my young children found it a chore commuting daily, and it is extra troublesome when they are exhausted after a long day of exploration. So bear the distance in mind if you have little ones with you and don't intend to rely on a stroller/pram while travelling.

There is a dryer mode in the shower room, which is useful for drying a few pieces of clothes after washing. The location is opposite Aeon Mall.

Location is not too far from Kyoto train station. However, Google map showed a longer route and took me double the time required to get to Bon Kyoto Station.

I think it was the best property relieved when travelled in Japan for the trip, as the other property (apartment and Airbnb )is quite small. The location is pretty good for living in Kyoto because a distance of 15 minutes you can get to the city centre. All facilities is working fine and good. It also provides a self locker room that doesn’t require money. Location is easy to get somewhere else that you wanna go. The toilet have heater that is quite good then we can wash your clothes and dry your clothes at there and you won’t feel cold when you bath.

Bathrooms cannot be locked as the bathroom is two doors open bathrooms the first door cannot lock but the second door can lock, but the second door is a frosted glass door it can be locked but it let us feel safe when you are living with a family in a room. The socket is behind the bed, and you may get the data cable stuck when plugging it in.

located really near kyoto station (<10min walk, easy path especially if dragging luggage) and right opposite Aeon mall which had a supermarket so we could stock up on fruits, drinks, snacks etc on the way back every evening. the room had everything we needed including fairly comprehensive kitchen utensils & appliances, a washing machine & dryer. read some reviews that said it was noisy being near the train tracks but we barely heard anything (even forgot the tracks were there) and anyways they provided ear plugs :) also bathroom heating was super powerful so that was a godsend for us being there in mid january!

Great location. Close to train station and Aeon mall and convenience stores. Room was great and even had a small kitchen. Bathroom could be used as a drying room for clothes too. The washing machine on the ground floor said it included detergent but clothes didn't really smell clean after, so next time I added some laundry liquid that I got from 711. Great value apartment. Would stay there again. Travelled 2A 2C and room had 2 double beds. Rooms were sound proofed well
