Bed was comfortable, and had enough space for 2 big suitcases under the bed. Held our luggage until check in time. Location was great, Kyoto Station is within a 5 minute walk and big shopping mall right across the road. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Kyoto.

Stayed for 6 nights, said they clean rooms very 3 days but we believe no cleaning was done in OUR ROOM during our stay though we did see cleaners on our floor, but not really a big deal. Smoking room was small and ventilation wasnt great but thankful there was one. The wash/dry machines were expensive and didn't do a great job.

Very convenient walking to Kyoto Station. Although the floor area of the whole room was relatively small, it’s standard size in Japan and it felt very spacious due to the way the furniture was placed in the room.

Only 2 coin-operated washing machines on the first floor, which were in use at the same time, and after waiting almost 2 hours for the other guests’ laundry to be done, they didn’t collect their laundry and reception could not open the washer door as they were locked by PIN codes. Couldn’t do laundry in the end.

This hotel is the cheapiest and probably best way to get 3 beds in the room for 3 people near to Kyoto main station.

It is clean and comfortable. Besides it is very near to AEON shopping mall.

There is some walking distance from the Kyoto station but overall it is still ok. Also, there's is an extra charge of 200¥ by the hotel per head per night on top of the total cost

We were not provided breakfast with our stay, however it was right next to Aeon mall which has many options as well being located near local shops within the neighborhood. The walk to Kyoto station was also within 10 mins which increased our options for something to eat before getting on a train for the day's activities. The building was extremely secure (the front door required a unique code, as well the the room itself) and they even provided an area for guests to leave luggage locked up if they arrived before check-in time. Although. they didn't provide a luggage forwarding service they were happy to receive and hold luggage for those who had used a service. There was a space where provided amenities free of charge located in the lobby ((tea bags, toothbrushes, hair brushes, razors, cotton pads, cotton swabs) spare towels were located on the bottom shelf). They had an employee at the desk 24 hours a day and if we had any question. (example my luggage had broken on our trip, and the staff assisted in locating were I could buy a new one and assisted in disposing on the broken one). The check in and out process was extremely easy and was able to be completed with out an employee present. The room was spacious and they displayed the cleaning schedule, ( every 3 days) as well as wi-fi password. They also displayed the location of the onsite laundry which was a reasonable price for a wash and dry. Huge bonus was the scents of the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

The elevator was small which would often lead us to waiting for the next one. however this was one of the few issues we had. there was an entrance fee of 1200 yen at check in which I found odd, but other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Close to Kyoto station, right next to a mall, easy to move around. Onsen nearby, very pretty shrines nearby. Would recommend visiting Tō-ji temple. The room has everything and was clean. There was a laundry room, microwave, amenities were there nest to the microwave (tooth brush and stuff). Spacious enough.

I didn’t mind and actually liked it, but it’s a self check in, self check out type of facility, so some people might not like that. You get a code to your room and access to the building, so I recommend taking a foto so you don’t forget the code. They didn’t provide new towels and other stuff daily, but I didn’t need them to so it was ok. Other hotels did that tho (felt a bit wasteful).

Excellent place to explore Kyoto from. Close to train station and supermarket (shopping mall). Spacious room, clean, good beds and shower. Friendly staff. Wifi had a problem in our room, but got resolved eventually.

it was just a few minutes away from the train station. and it was next to AEON mall Japan. the mall was hugggge, and it had a floor of arcade games, food court with Italian, Indian Korean food store and even an baskin robin cream shop. It had a dollar store daiso as well. so convenient location.

the reception always smells like cigarettes as they had a designated smoking area on that floor right behind to the reception area. the biggest problem was that rooms are only cleaned 3 days a week. I mean yeah I get it, that’s eco friendly. but don’t take that as an excuse to not even clear out trash from the dustbin and the toilet cleaning. the tiny trash bin was full since day one. n it was difficult for us. usually in other hotels there’s a “clean up / tidy room” tag to put outside door. they don’t have it. they only had do not disturb sign only.

Great value for money ,location excellent, good cheap clean well appointed room, property also same. Be aware ! this is a fully automated checkin/out procedure, no humans, you get an unlock code and qr with your booking, unlock the street door when you arrive and check yourself in by online machine using qr and or pin no on your booking confirmation. If you don't have net connection or haven't downloaded the confirmation you have a problem. Only cleaning staff are on site with an occasional robotic human to oversee the property. Booking system has multi language option, and emergency contact ph on the unmanned front desk if you have problems, though the human on the end doesn't have much English. Great lockup system for your bags in the foyer because checkin is late -3

No complaints excellent value for money, but don't expect and human assistance

Good sized room, plenty of toiletries, quiet and safe location with plenty of convenience shops about 7 minutes walk away. Clean, handy to have washing machines available too. Good location for the station (13 minute walk), where you can also catch a subway to get about Kyoto if you don't fancy walking. We used our JR pass to do day trips to Nara and Osaka. Good base for exploring the sights in Kyoto too. Luggage can be left at the property in the lobby if you use what looks like a bike lock to attach bags or cases to the rail provided. We didn't use this but it seemed to be working well for people.

Can't really rate the staff as we only saw one lady the whole time we were there. She was helpful and friendly when we checked in. A microwave was available in the lobby, would have been helpful to have a couple of plates to use with it.
