I liked the location, very close to Kyoto train station made it easy to locate to differnt parts of Kyoto and also close to shops and the mall. Also close to attractions ie: Toji temple &Kyoto tower. Showers were good and handy to have toilet and shower seperate.

I didn’t like there wasn’t fresh towels provided each day and you had to pay $100 yen each time. I also didn’t like the right squeeze of the dorm I was in bed 1 and it was hard to get in and out near the shoe box and bed resulting in bending down and ended up with few bruises. it’s an awkward spot to get in and out of.

The room was really clean and had a lot of space, the shower room and bathroom for each floor were also really clean. There was a great common room where they held event like making Gyozas or a Hotpot night to try and get guests to come together and meet new people which is a great idea! (And it was only 300yen per person of free if you follow them on Insta!)

Not much I can really say here about what not to like, so I will just say that the storage they offer before you check in is just leaving the bags at the front, but it feels safe enough so not much of an issue.

Nice kitchen area. Bunk bed space was nice with small canibet, lights, outlet, and privacy curtain.

They provide you with 1 initial towel and from then on, if you want to change your towel it'll cost you ¥100 each time. To me this penalizes traveller's staying for more than 1 night... I stayed 3 nights and the staff would not change my towel for free. Lesson learned! I'll stay elsewhere next time I have a 3+ night stay. If it's for 1 or maybe 2 nights this place is fine. Also, all showers are in the basement, they do provide male and female toilets on the actual floor your sleeping and the dormitory rooms also have 2 small sinks with small mirrors.... But if you want to take a shower you have to get your towel, change of close, toiletries, etc ready and head down to the basement. They do provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryers in the basement bathroom.

Location is good, nice facilities, activities for guests to share the culture (like gyoza making, takoyaki making etc) sand they also sell beers so it was very fun. The room was nice, with a power room inside the room. Also the was a powder room right out the room with three sinks and hair dryers; and separate bathrooms for women and men with several wc. The shower room is in the basement, with several showers, all very clean. Laundry area is also in the basement. The distribution of the bunkbeds in the room is nice although the stairs are a little tight. And I liked that all beds have curtains, a space for personal stuff with a light and an outlet, as well as a little locker for valuables with a key.

The beds need a little bit more cushioning and maybe a little better cleaning (I found a spider next to my bed😬)

It is a good hostel that matches the wise hotel branch. The unique aspect of Kyoto is that the female bathrooms are separated and have a key lock to ensure privacy. The facility is up-to-date and clean, and so are the rooms. The location is somehow central but 20 mins away from the old parts of Kyoto. Buses will be your friend in general in Kyoto.

I booked a 2 person room, thinking it would have at least a bathroom in it; it wasn't clear it didn't, and tbh if I had known, I wouldn't have booked that option. Nevertheless, it wasn't a major deal.

This hostel is conveniently located near Kyoto station and bus stops that lead to most tourists attractions. Even if it was a mix dormitory, I felt safe and the bed are well separated from each other with a curtain. I felt like I was in my own bubble!The showers are located on the basement floor and separated between man and woman. You need a code to access woman's shower, and it was very clean. Moreover, the staff was very friendly, and I really liked the lounge space where I could relax with my friend after a day of sightseeing.

The private room has a small basin and is good enough for a solo traveller. The pantry facilities has almost everything. Laundry at B1. 3 washer and 3 dryers.

One towel provided for your entire stay. Luckily I am in a room for 2 and I have 2 towels. The private room is cramp with bunk bed, not a queen/king bed. I am solo so I used the top beds to put my stuff. Walls are thin and you can hear the other room at night. People don't collect their clothes from dryer for a long time so I cannot use it. Should a sign.

The rooms, although small, are well designed. The bunk beds are quite sturdy and the mattresses are larger than expected. The staff was very helpful when we had various questions about local attractions. The facilities (shared bathrooms, showers, powder room, etc.) were quite nice spacious and clean. Toiletries, slippers, towels are all provided as described. The hostel in itself did not feel crowded at all.

The provided toiletries (shampoo, body wash, conditioner), although greatly appreciated, have a horrendous fragrance. I was glad I had brought my own. We were intending on doing laundry, but all the machines smelled strongly of mildew so we gave up on the idea.

Close to Kyoto Station and Bus Terminal . Aeon mall and Aeon supermarket are just across the hostel. Family Mart with my coffee and dinner at affordable prices nearby. Shinkansen tracks nearby. Spacious bunk. They gave me lower bunk which I requested for. The safe locker was small but suffice for my two pouches. The duvet was good. Opening the window made the room cooling like aircon in Singapore. Room guests were all cooperative and keep silent at night.

Having to go down to basement for pee during the night . Need to use your torchlight on handphone to avoid disturbing others when going down for pee at night. WC was very small but manageable . No hook in WC . Where to hang trouser when shitting? Hostel should put in few hooks in WC to hang trouser and towel. Also not enough hooks in shower room.

The staff were so kind and speak good English.They were very kind in helping me with my special needs, and tourist questions. Beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains. Nice location near the train station, bus stop and a supermarket. Filtered water so can save plastic and money on water. Kitchen facilities and tea available. Big fridge to store ur food or drinks. Nice lounge. I will definitely stay here any time I come to Kyoto. They even had a Halloween party with delicious food for free 😋
