The room was very nicely presented, very bright and if one would have been travelling alone, quite spacious. The hotel provides us with two vouchers (one per person) worth ¥5,000 each, allowing you to "purchase" various drinks, snacks and food items from their self-service shop in the lounge area of the lobby. The hotel is located within walking distance to one railway station and a metro station with a few restaurants and some shrines nearby.
This hotel is cashless, bear that in mind and ensure you have an adequate amount of cash (and coins if you intend to use the washer and dryer) available.

I like that they have a self service counter with a few selection of food, snacks and drinks since 7eleven bit far. The room is very clean! They have chairs and table and a place to hang clothes. The bathroom is alot newer than some of the ones I have seen.
Just wished they provide a bottle of water in the room or sell in their food area. The walk to the train station feels a bit long because you have to cross a couple of times and definitely not fun with a heavy suitcase and the closest Yamato delivery service is 30mins away.

Lovely surroundings, modern hotel and spacious rooms which is a big plus when staying at hotels in Japan for longer than a couple of nights. Nice and close to the Eon Mall for shopping and a stocked food court with all international cuisine catered for.
The fridge in the room was tiny and never got cold. The hotel is on a very main road, so road noise is incredibly loud even with the window closed. The pillows are incredibly uncomfortable - they start off plush and then go super flat and thin after 5 minutes. Wrong end of town if you want to be out and about exploring Kyoto city itself - especially the downtown area. Expect to walk anywhere between 20 - 40 minutes to get to downtown or ride the subway for 2/3 stops.

I love everything of this hotel! I traveled alone and stayed there for 2 weeks, but I didn't feel lonely or inconvenient. The staffs were friendly and the facilities were clean and sufficient. I especially like the atmosphere and the cultural setting it provided. The location is very close to Kyoto station. You can walked or take the train to get there where is only a stop away. There are many buses you can take to go to different areas of Kyoto and you are at the starting point of the bus courses. You can also walk 5 minutes to a big department store where shopping / restaurants / groceries are available. I will definitely stay there again.
The only thing bothered me was the scent of rooms they chose. When I checked in the room, its smoke-like smell just irritated my nose so strongly. I immediately told the front desk and they gave me another room. The new room smelled a lot better, but I could tell it was the same smell. I think that the cleaning product they used on all rooms might cause it. I hope the management can change their cleaning products soon, it may not smell bad when it is first applied, but it smells different after a while. I stayed at OMO 7 later in Osaka, and it didn't have the same problem.

My most memorable experience at OMO was when my friend and I arrived amidst a sudden torrential downpour that turned the streets into a river. When we stepped into the hotel, the staff were so helpful, welcoming and concerned with our welfare, it felt like coming home and getting fussed over by your parents. They brought us slippers, bags for our shoes, and endless towels. The room and lobby were spotless and extremely well-designed, and we loved the sand garden and little snack station area in the lobby!

The location was great, outside the hustle and bustle of the Kyoto Station area. Yet close enough to the station even to walk. Close proximity to Aeon Mall was very convenient. Was also close to Toji Temple which was a good spot to visit.
Really nit-picking here, as my experience was good. Layout of the lobby was a little inconvenient; the OMO local map is located in the shared seating space, and unfortunately some fellow tourists decided to sit right in front of the map, despite being the only folks in the lobby at the time, to have an extended conversation, which made it a tad awkward to view the map. Not a big deal, just looked at it the next morning.

Loved the friendly staff and the little shop downstairs. It has a laundry with 3 washers and dryers so never had a problem with having to wait when doing laundry. It was a 12 minute walk to Kyoto Station but Toji station was only 3 minutes away for when we were extra tired. Having a mall 5 mins away was also very handy. Loved that there were 2 pillows and a cushion, quite unusual from our experience and very much appreciated.
The bathroom was quite snug and the hand towels hung above the toilet which was a bit precarious. Not enough to put me off staying here again though as this hotel was fab!

I stayed at 5 hotels during my visit and this one had the most impressive and aesthetic decor and experience. The rooms were the largest of all the hotels (I do admit I am frugal so my choices are always the standard minimal rooms), and the reception area is beautiful. I never get the breakfast plans since I like to head out early in the morning, so I did not use the food areas much. There was a large and convenien Aeon mall down the street.
The location was slightly out of the way and I did a lot of walking in the rain due to unfortunate weather conditions. I believe I also paid 200 yen to rent the roomwear as well. Most places are charging to rent roomwear nowadays so it's not a big deal. I will make sure to bring my own pajamas next visit!

It is a new concept Smart Hotel. Everything Self self-service and well-designed for the purpose, everything was so clean and nice, a self-service cafe with a full range of food choices and nice coffee.
The only thing I want to comment on is the room toooooo smalllll for two people and we both small size and still too small. No space for opening the luggage. That's why I cannot give you a rating of 10.
