Very nice experience staying at a Japanese house. We have the whole house to ourselves! It was very near to Toji station-there's Lawson just next to it. There is also a bus stop nearby if you want to take the city bus. 6 minutes to Kyoto station and you can find an AEON Mall about 10 mins walking distance. They also provide free coffee besides other usuual facilities. Check in is at their guess centre but you can leave your luggages there and they will send it to the accommodation for you.

I really loved the property. The property is a good mix of traditional and modern. If looking to experience Japanese lifestyle this is the place to be.

I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like but the property does need some maintenance and upgrade.

Good location for transport. Pot in bathroom was fun! Large living room area. Luggage delivery was useful - check-in at the guest service centre and they’ll deliver your bags for free at the accommodation.

Quite cold - be warned if you’re staying in colder seasons!

The place was so nice, you can enjoy the half-traditional Japanese house 'Machiya'. The location was close to station, you can use both bus and train. The property provide delivery our luggages to the place when you check-in and we can leave our luggages after the check out. However, the bed was soooo comfy! i love it!

To use the bathroom, we have to enter the toilet. So it is a bit difficult when you share the house with your friend.

Fabulous location. Loved the traditional features.

We would have liked sink plug, tea towels and dish cloths so we could do dishes. Also table knives would have been helpful.

1. House is large with 5 beds 2.very Clean 3. Location, 1 minute to Toji Station 4. Very friendly staff at customer service center, the staff Zeng Ping can speak three languages including Japanese, English and Chinese.

1. No towel hanging rack, no place to keep used shower towels. 2. No clothes drier. It is difficult to dry the washed clothes in winter 3. No bowls in the kitchen.Only 5 plates in the kitchen. 4. The location provided in booking.com doesn't point to the actual address. House owner can edit the map location.

Amazing stay at a traditional kyoto machiya. 15min walk to kyoto station and for the lazy they can hop on toji station which is 2 min away walk. Spotless clean and has a unique "pot" bath. Both bed and futon options. A few restaurants nearby plus a small supermarket. Only down side is there is no bathroom upstairs which can get annoying for long stays.

The location is a bit further to the central area. The choices of the restaurant a bit limited due to the area is more quiet for residential

Very comfortable house. Very clean and suitable for families.

The location is fairly close to the train station, but pretty far away from Gion and most temples.

Good for family trip, but only one bathroom available for whole unit
