The hotel is in the heart of the shopping district .So much to shop and eat around .The room is huge for Japanese standards and so nice .Even a multi plug cables can find in the room .Very clean and the reception staff very nice.Perfect place to stay .Close to Gion 15 min across the bridge The beds are super comfy.

The breakfast was ok.If you stay for more than one night just book one breakfast and the rest of the mornings can eat in nearby bakeries.Unless you like Japanese breakfasts rice miso fish and curry and...

The hotel is very clean. They have free drinks (water, juice, coffee, tea) between 3-9pm. Great location - access to train and bus, shopping like Uniqlo, Zara, OPO, Takashimaya, market, restaurants and tax free stores.

The Front Desk staff although very nice have difficulty in communicating in English. Breakfast is pricey for what is served. Very limited selection for those who wish to have Western type breakfast.

Hotel was in an excellent location. We walked from here to most places. Rooms were clean, modern and quite spacious. Breakfast was a combination of Western and Japanese options. Hotel offered free soft drinks and coffee/tea in the afternoon/early evening. We would stay here again.

Prime Entertainment Hub Location: This hotel boasts an outstanding location right in the heart of Kyoto's main entertainment district, putting you steps away from all the action. Convenient Public Transport: It's also incredibly convenient for getting around, with bus and train stations located nearby. Good Breakfast: The breakfast offered was tasty and satisfying, a great way to start the day.

Compact Rooms: The rooms are on the smaller side, which might feel a bit cramped for some guests. No Parking & Difficult Car Access: The hotel does not have its own parking, and it's challenging to access the immediate vicinity by car, so it's not ideal for those traveling with a vehicle.

- Staff members were very helpful and courteous (e.g., front desk, breakfast room, etc.). - Excellent locations in the middle of the city. - The quality of breakfast as well as the service were excellent.

- The view from the room was rather depressing. I am not used to face a wall! I did request in advance for my room to have an open view - not expecting a river view but also not expecting a wall!! - The management needs to revisit all mattresses and upgrade what needs to be upgraded. Mine was not that comfortable.

The room was comfortable with working air conditioning. They had a sliding wall that allows you to block out the light from the windows which I really enjoyed for sleep. There was a small closet by the entrance. Bathroom and shower were fine. Great buffet style breakfast, although last call at 9:30am and they get pretty cleared out past 9am. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. It is in a great location near restaurants and shopping, and accessible to the different temples and tourist destinations by bus and train. They do room cleaning once every 4 days which we don’t mind and bring fresh towels and take out the trash.

The room was rather small so it was challenging to open suitcases around the beds.

My partner and I were visiting Kyoto for 2.5 days and we wanted to center ourselves well. Location, location, location when you don't have a lot of time! We took the Shinkasen bullet train from Tokyo. There are train, bus and taxi options to the hotel. There's a bus stop very close to the hotel but we opted for the train so we could walk a little bit more through the small streets. It was about a 15min walk. The hotel is in a main area, the Nakagyo Ward, and there's shopping EVERYWHERE with a lot of sites to see within walking distance. Sometimes, it was hard to leave the area because we kept getting distracted with all the shops! The room was clean and fairly spacious compared to other hotels I had looked at. The room was quite warm when we entered and the hotel gave us a portable fan to use. We kept it on for awhile and turned off the heat. After that, no problem and we were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was it had great breakfast reviews. Sometimes, the only way I can enjoy a variety of traditional Japanese foods/side dishes, is through hotel breakfasts because many times, the readily available restaurants around a lot of the tourist sites are more ramen/katsu/curry fast foods. The breakfast buffet was great and had plenty of Western options for my partner, too, who was more picky about trying the different flavors. Recommend!

We had a non-smoking room but it still smelled a little smokey at times. The room being warm at the beginning was uncomfortable but with the fan, it helped.

The hotel staff were amazing, they were always happy to help. They kept our luggage when we arrived early at the hotel and it wasn't time to check into the room yet. They gave us a lot of recommendations for food in the area and even gave us a little map of all the nearby restaurants. The room was huge and the bathroom was also very spacious. Location is excellent too, within 1 minute walk you are on one of the main roads with lots of shops, there are also subway stations nearby as well as lots of coffee shops and restaurants.

Excellent location, with lots of eating and shopping options just outside the hotel door. Very close (5-8 min) to the metro and useful bus stops. A very spacious room with comfortable beds, an excellent breakfast with lots of choices.

The room was a bit tired, it feels that it is time to update the furniture and furnishings. The staff was hit-and-miss, the initial impression was not very favorable, with the lady at the reception having a cold and quite off-putting attitude, but it improved overall during the stay.

Fantastic location that's right at the shopping district, and very near the popular Nishiki Market. Hotel is easily accessible with numerous bus stops and train stations nearby, as well as convenience stores. Simple bus routes are easy to use, bus stops are nearby. Rooms are comfy and clean, the bathroom has a great shower, tub and 'smart toilet'.

Can get noisy due to this very popular location that's just off the main road. I wish the windows could be opened even if just a bit for fresh air.
