It is at a great location (Shijo Karasuma). The room is so beautiful with comfortable bed, working space, fridge and electric kettle. The amenities are all you need including facial cream and pajamas. The building is nicely designed. Cleanliness is the Japanese standard.

No free drinking water! I arrived late at night and it was raining. There were two vending machines on the other floors but the water was sold out at both floors. I had to walk across the street to a convenient store to buy water. Luckily the free umbrella was provided. Isn't this lack of thoughtfulness?

The hotel was clean, comfortable, nicely presented. Ice machine was available in the corridor, plus washing machines and microwave. At reception you can get pyjamas, tea and coffee, etc. Japanese style bathroom with shower and bath. Kettle and fridge in room

I shared an executive twin room with my Dad and sister expecting two double beds, as on the booking system it is possible to book more than 2 adults into the room. However the beds aren’t full double size, so sharing the bed with my sister (we are both in our twenties) wasn’t ideal. It is possible to upgrade to a triple room for an extra ¥1,000 per night which I would certainly recommend to groups of 3 adults!

Very conveniently located and only a short walk from the main areas. Decent size room and good value.

Cleaning was reduced to once every 3 days for “sustainability reasons” but towels were left out in the hallway for us daily. Honestly the rooms being small made it hard to maintain and really needed to be cleaned daily for a comfortable stay. If it’s not daily then perhaps every second day would be better. We stayed for 5nights and our room was only cleaned once which took away from the overall quality of our stay.

Beautiful Hotel! They kept our suitcase before check-in and after check-out both for free. You can pick necessary amenities on the check in. There were useful stuff such as bath salt and Mouth wash etc among them. We loved Pyjama they provided us ;D Room was so class and clean. Bathtub was big enough so we could relax in the tub. The bed was huge and comfortable. Thank you!

You have to walk 3 blocks from Karasuma Station (Hankyu line) to reach to the hotel. There is an underpass but we felt it's long. However, Shijo Station (Subway) is more closer to the hotel. Exit number 6 is most closer to the hotel.

We loved the size of the room, definitely fits a family of 5-6. Beds were very comfortable, 2 singles and 2 doubles. Bonus was the laundry in the room and free laundry detergent. Since it was in July, the air-conditioning saved us, nice and cool. Location was less than 10 mins to the Kyoto station, and a nearby Lawson and other sushi restaurants.

Good location close to subway and many places to eat. Only a 5-10 minute walk to centre of action in Kyoto. Staff is very helpful and professional with good English. Excellent terrace for outdoor space (no rain/sun protection). Ice machine, vending machines and laundry facilities. Clean and modern.

Room is small and lacking storage space. No ability to see out of the window so felt very isolated when inside. No foreign language guide to using tv.

I decided on this hotel last minute because it was better located than the one I originally chose. Very close to the subway and convenience stores. The room itself was quite large for one person which was an added bonus.

Laundry machine is quite expensive and a bit annoying given you can only pay with 100 yen coins.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of room size and comfort. Very clean and cozy. The hotel is conveniently located few minutes from Shinju metro station (exit 6), Daimaru department store, Nishiki market and bus stations to everywhere. The reception staff was very accommodating and helpful with all our requests, they even helped us book a time slot for visiting the Ninja Temple in Kanazawa after our departure from Kyoto.

Everything was perfect For those of you who are used with European size rooms, the room is pretty small, but everything nicely placed, so you will have enough space for you luggage Good position also in the city

I think it will be a nice touch for the AC to be on when you arrive and not find like 30+ degrees in your room

the bed was huge and very comfortable and the pillows were great- we slept very well without sore backs or necks. they provided umbrellas for our use which was great!

no room for medium suitcases. one suitcase was in front of the door and the other at the foot of the bed. although the bed was huge there was not much room to move around or for luggage
