We had a two bed apartment at this hotel which was incredible! A full kitchen, separate room for the kids, aircon throughout and a washing machine and drying facility in the apartment. The staff were delightful and so helpful! Location was good, short walk to a massive supermarket and close to key sights etc. there is also a subway station five mins walk away. We loved being in a local neighbourhood rather than a skyscraper hotel building, getting a true feel of local life etc. we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!!!!

Beautiful, clean room with plenty of space for 3 adults. Quiet neighborhood, very close to transit buses and an easy walk to trains. Handy to Nijo Castle and other sites. Excellent home base for our 4 days in Kyoto. Reception staff were available when we checked in and were very helpful. The room had information that outlined how all appliances worked with English translation. A map with nearby restaurants and amenities was also available and appreciated. No issues drying clothes (laundry) and shoes (after heavy rain) on the private semi-enclosed deck.

Nothing, this was a terrific stay.

-Location: While only a few mainstream sightseeing spots are a walking distance (Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle), the residence is very strategically located in the sense that most sightseeing spots in Kyoto (both in the north-west and towards to east) are reachable with a 30 min public transport ride or less. Both the subway station and various bus lines lie 10 minutes or less of a walk away. The location of the residence is also very quiet. -Apartment: The apartment was clean, modern and spacious, with comfortable beds and a well functioning heating system. -Staff: Staff was friendly and courteous. We had a few smaller requests throughout our stay, and they were always happy to help. Overall, this was an outstanding stay!

Only a very minor negative, but the apartment could use more shelves within the built in wardrobes for easier storage of clothes.

Spacious, quiet, clean, & with excellent facilities & little touches to make our stay truly exceptional! Close to transit, groceries, & restaurants/cafes - as well as the Kyoto National Garden (among others). Coffee service in the lobby comes with snacks & little sweets; water bottles are provided in the fridge. There is a recycling bin provided, as well as options for your room service (for example, whether you just need the garbage emptied, or prefer not to change your bedsheets constantly). The staff are friendly, with excellent English skills, & super helpful. The bathroom can double as a clothes dryer if you’re in a hurry, or it’s too cold/wet to dry outside on the balcony (a full-size laundry rack is provided too). This is the first place we’ve stayed that has a humidifier/air purifier, as well as efficient AC/heating. There are rental bicycles! My only quibble is that the front closet doesn’t have a hanging bar in it, so it seems like an odd dead space.

The apartment was beautiful with plenty of room for the family. The apartment was well appointed and our host made sure that we knew what facilities (washing machine, drying system, etc) were available to us and how to use them. There were useful guides detailing where to eat and how to get to the local attraction in the apartment, which was very handy. We walked to the nearby castle and caught the buses to other sites. It was very simple to get around. I wish we had stayed longer.

Excellent location. Can walk to Nijo castle. Very close to bus stop for the Arashiyama bamboo forest and the monkey park. Trains are convenient and there are 2 stops nearby. We initially arrived by taxi and there was a little confusion finding the property at first but we showed him the map in the email and found it without issues. Front office offers day passes for the bus and it was convenient to buy them there. We stayed with our 7 and 9 year old children and it was quite easy to walk to get baked goods in the morning or to the Fresco grocery store to get food/snacks. There is also a small park nearby for the kids to get some energy out. Room/kitchen had everything we needed during our stay. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen to cook meals if you wish. The laundry machine was a bonus and it was perfect that we booked this place for halfway between our trip. No dryer but the drying feature in the bathroom dried our clothes very well in 3-5 hours.

Looking back this was probably our favourite place we stayed in on our 3 week visit to Japan. A quiet but local neighbourhood with access to restaurants dotted around and a bus to the centre. Very clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious. Staff helped us forward large bags to a different hotel (super service).

An iron in the room would have been nice but you could hire one, so very minor.

I didn't expect this place to be so big. Very welcoming lady at the front desk who spoke great english. Showed us how to access the lobby after hours and our room. They pride themselves on quiet at this hotel apartment. Rooms are very spacious. This was half way into our trip so thought space for the four of us would be needed. Washing machine and drying room was perfect for we needed to freshen our clothes. Full kitchen facilites (we didn't use as rather eat local cuisine). Separate toilet and bathroom. Short walk to the subway, conbini & park. Even though loads of transport options close by, we were happy for the half hour walk to Nishiki market and surrounds. Hotel hires bikes- which was a nice way to explore further. Nara and Osaka is an easy day trip from here too. Full engish manual provided with how to work equipment in the room and food recommendations.

Was so nice to be together as a family in an apartment (after being in hotels), and getting to shop for food at the supermarket. The apartments are really clean, with great staff, and have all the amenities you need. We made good use of the washing machine and drying system which worked really well. I also loved being in a more residential area with quieter streets, and living life locally.

With the residential area it was also a little further from things (subway is easy 10min walk). Have to say getting around was easy to navigate though and we even just caught a bus to Arashiyama.

The room was well equipped for self catering (cooking utensils, cutlery etc). We did a few loads of washing and the drying facility in the bathroom was great. The beds were comfortable. The staff were able to store luggage for us. There is an amazing little bakery down the road with lovely owners. There is also a small playground around the corner and a large grocery store a 5 minute walk away. Less then 10m to Nijo Castle. Close to the subway and the bus.
