It was amazing stay. We travel alot and i really apprecied Mr. Yuji care and help about guests. He helped us with everything what we need to know, not only about room - but everything else too !! :) he speak really good english aswell - thank you mr. Yuji Room was really good too - big enough and clean so next time in Kyoto we definitly choose this guest house ! :)

The room was quite large. The staff were amazing, so kind, welcoming and helpful. It was super close to the Nijo Castle and Imperial Palace and because of its central location it’s at a bike distance from all main Kyoto attractions. Laundry facilities are the best, washer and dryer separate. And my personal favorite, they have electric bikes available to rent and regular bikes for free. Kyoto is a very bike-friendly town and incredibly beautiful, so biking around there was a dream. I’ll definitely try to stay there again when I come back to Kyoto.

There was someone in the room next to ours that was always coming back very late and we would wake up with them laughing out loud. I don’t know if the walls were that thin or the person really too loud, but we started using earplugs and it was fine.

the room is spacious, with clean sheet, towels and a comfortable bed; very useful to have a small fridge working even in a single room; the location is convenient, close to the Imperial Palace, maybe 15-20 minutes' walk from the nearest subway station, and just one minute's walk to the bus stop, expecially good for solo travellors to do a little bit exploring, then I find the big supermarket 10 minutes' walk away particularly endearing, with all kinds of food and drink to resupply; staff are friendly and polite, a very smooth checkin right before they close service at 8 pm at the counter;

almost nothing, except the fridge might be a bit noisy during the dead of the night, but it can be overlooked

this place is surrounded by plenty of nice eateries, convenience stores, groceries and bus stations, which made my stay way much better than I expected. the owner(or the staff?) spoke English, so the check in and check out were quite smooth. the room is compact but clean, comfortable and equipped with enough live amenities. my room was not facing the street, so it was quiet in general. perfect choice if anyone prefers to live in a local neighborhood.

the subway station(nijo) and JR station(kyoto) were not quiet close.

The building is old and not particularly remarkable, but my room was clean, spacious, and filled with sunlight. I believe the other rooms are similar. All the staff I interacted with were friendly, kind, thoughtful, and very helpful.

The entrance isn’t very noticeable, and I actually missed it a few times. Since I truly appreciated my stay, I’d like to kindly suggest adding some lighting or decoration to make the entrance more visible and cheerful. I hope this small recommendation helps enhance your already warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Kuji was excellent. Enjoyed talking to him. Hopefully the younger members of staff can pick up on his English ability, should they be inclined. Had Kuji not been there we would have had little interaction with reception. Great origami skills too. Thanks for everything Kuji. Great to use the bikes around Kyoto. Best way to get around. A real bonus.

On the 2nd floor suffers with the small kitchen area outside the rooms particularly 210 & the next, due to people heating, eating food outside the room. Also reception is on the 2nd floor.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and plenty big enough, and we loved our room’s balcony with a view of the mountains. The walk to the nearest subway station took about 10-12 minutes, and there are convenience stores as well as a large supermarket nearby. It was easy to use the laundry room and the staff were happy to change bank notes into coins for us to use the machines. It was also easy to leave our luggage after checking out and collecting it later.

The place is very good and spacious for Japan. The staff at the hotel is very nice and they help you in anyway they can. The property is close to a lot of bus stations, so you can take the bus for a lot of the attractions (at the reception they give you a map with the buses, which are more easy to use for remote places than the metro). You have direct bus to Bamboo Forest and Kanku-ji Temple which is great!
