We loved the place, the space, the location. Multiplne bus stops nearby, close to the Nijo Castle, the big supermarket is 10 mins by foot. Self check-in is very easy, possibility to leave your baggage there (locked) after check out- big plus! There is a possibility to borrow bikes, BUT the tricky thing is that there are 8(?) rooms and just 4 bikes, so first come first served. We reccommend do not count with using them and plan your whole day (as we did), just come and be suprised if they are there.

We have chosen this accommodation mostly because we’ve seen the possibility of having bikes for free, so we were disappointed we couldn’t use them. Normally we would give 10/10 to this place, but as someone who has chosen according to the bikes possibility, we are giving it just 8. But overall, it Is a great place and we 100% reccommend it!

Great location, it's not in the centre but very closed to both city bus and city train line stations, easy to move to both East and West destinations. Plus it's way more quiet and comfortable here than staying in the old town. A kitchen and washing machine available to use. Conbini stores, and a big supermarket nearby if you want to cook. Also 2 public baths in walking distance. Bicycles provided for free. Facilities are very new and clean.

You have to carry your luggages up the small stairs so a small minus point for me.

It was a nice stay. We decided to stay in a different part of Kyoto from our original ryokan on the other side of town. It was much different but it was quiet, clean, and easy to get around from! This property had everything you'd need to feel like you're at someone's home with the full kitchen + small fridge/freezer, washing machine, good sized bathroom and a nice little seating nook by the bed. We loved the bikes available to check out (for free) but the only complaint was that my partner who is 6'2" couldn't ride the bike comfortably as the seat didn't get high enough for him. Despite that, we were grateful for the access and the freedom to ride around after walking way too much the past 2 days.

Communication with the owner was a little slow/light but we believe it was cause of the language barrier.

The classic Japanese tatami room with futon was surprisingly comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect to catch any bus to go around Kyoto. Other than Japanese food, there was a great Thai and Indian restaurant nearby to try when you don't want Japanese food.

Washing machine had a slight smell, most likely needs a cleaning/bleach cycle.

Lots of extra amenities (Iron, detergent, welcome cookies etc.)

No elevator. Only three stories, but it might be difficult for an elderly person.

The room is fully equipped with kitchen appliances, a washing machine, and even shampoo, which I love.

The location is quite far from the train station, but easily accessible by bus

All you need for a couple days. Bus and food store is 3 min away. Good location, excellent price, privacy. Calm apartment, Japanese style. Key easy available, check-in possible 24h.

It was very clean and all the appliances worked well!

The AC unit was the only appliance that did not work the best. It took a while to turn on and get cold.

Bicycles available. Convenient location. Clean. Nice conveniences: kitchenette, closet, dining table, dressers.

Excellent directions on how to get there and also how to use the appliances, and wonderful recommendations for food and things to do. Very clean, comfortable, and it was s fun to stay in a Japanese apartment.
