I was actually really caught back at how fancy this hotel is! Everything is extremely clean and new, the rooms are well equipped (TV, air conditioner, humidifier, water cooker) and the bathroom is also very spacious. There's also a public bath for those that like bigger baths! Overall a very enjoyable experience staying at this hotel and if I'm ever going to visit Kyoto again I will definitely be looking up its availability again!

The room was spacious but not enough to fit three beds -- it was a bit tight getting out of bed. The space around the lockers in the public bathroom was also kind of tight, so if there's a crowd you have to wait to get your stuff.

was about a 10 minute walk to Nijo station, but bus was right out front and I feel like in Kyoto you use the bus more than the train to get around. Room was comfy and up to date. Bathroom did feel like a trailer bathroom but had no issues with it. For the price you can't beat this hotel and staff is super friendly and welcoming.

Literally a 10/10 experience at this hotel! The staff were so accommodating and helpful. We loved it so much we extended our stay 2 extra nights and they helped us with that! The room is comfortable, modern and the bed is even more comfortable. I think the highlight for us was the onsen in the hotel. They had showers supplied with shampoo, conditioner soap and skincare. It was basically a spa right inside of the hotel you have access to while you stay. The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious and we paid for it 2 of the mornings we weee there. Location only 10 minutes from JR station and near Nijo Castle. Highly recommend!

Nothing, loved it all!

The stay was excellent. The room was way beyond my expectations especially with the price I paid. The room has a fabric and air spray, all bathroom necessities smelled so good. The pillows were just the perfect amount of softness. The comforter was so fluffy like cloud. There was also an air purifier/ dehumidifier inside the room. It was also near a 24/7 convenience store. I don't know if these points are standard in all hotels in kyoto or japan but It exceeded my expectations in its price point. I am the type that doesn't give online reviews often but this place was that good for me to compose this one.

Everything was fine: Room, facilities, onsen, breakfast

There were 3 washing machines and 2 of them were broken. 1 washing machine for the whole big hotel ! And the reception recommended us to go to the outside laundry as they didn't know when it would be repaired..

Location wise is convenience to go to famous attractions around Kyoto. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel and a short walk to train Nijo Station, 3 stops away from Kyoto Station. Even though hotel is right beside the main road, however it is not noisy. Room size is comfortable enough for two of us. Beds are really2 comfortable. Bathtub is big 😄 There’s microwave at level 1 where you can heat up your foods and eat at the common room near the reception desk. The welcome drink station is really great. Their cold green tea is super good and refreshing. The washing machine is also convenient for us, there’s english instruction so do not worry on how to operate the machine. The staff are friendly and approachable 😊 The public bath was a great experience for us.

The room was absolutely amazing—spacious compared to most properties we've stayed at in Japan. It featured two large beds and had a beautifully designed interior. The bathroom was consistently spotless, with a thoughtful touch: a non-fogging mirror, which was incredibly convenient after showers. All necessary amenities were provided, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We didn't have the chance to visit the onsens during our stay, but I've heard they're definitely worth experiencing. The only downside was that breakfast wasn't included in the price, which was a bit disappointing, but it's okay.

As they are considered 4* hotel, I have marked them with the criteria of 4*. Amenities were ok, the breakfast was very good.... Although the staff did the best they could, was really confusing about everything. It was as a mistake from booking (with the number of people in each room) - but so far I never had a similar problem. Because the rooms were twin, booked with the price for 2 people (but on the booking it stated 1 person in the room - but the message clearly said one or max 2people in the room). Although I have sent them message with number of people in advance, they didn't give any answer. When I sent the rooming (3days in advance), they informed me about the extra charges - no problem, but definitely no need to wait until the last moment, when everywhere is full. Sometimes hotel sends me in advance, that I should consider moderation or for how many I booked. It happened the same with taxis I ordered - so 2 taxis were missing (lucky for us another guy at the reception arranged additional 2taxis). But the bitter taste remains, because it is nobody's fault - but mine (which is odd, since they should communicate with each other at the reception).

Very nice service, very clean in the room, safe in the room, but small. It's great that the toilet is separated from the bathroom (it's in a different room than the bathroom). close to the bus stop. Also close to the grocery store, 5 min walk to a large supermarket (hypermarket) I appreciate the option to store luggage after check out.

Room was rather small, so there could be more places to hang things or put things away (e.g. a table / additional cabinet in the bathroom). Small safe in the room. It's great that there are extras (e.g. toothbrush, comb, tea) the only downside is that you have to remember to get them downstairs near the elevator

Location is good, close to Nijo station, but not in the center of Kyoto. We didn’t mind + it’s only a short walk to Nijo castle (1300¥ to visit inside + gardens) The imperial palace is more far and free, but Nijo castle is nicer!
