They have the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever had. It is firm enough for my back not to ache! Plus I especially appreciate that they provided both high and low pillows on each bed since most hotel tend to provide only high pillows which I absolutely could never sleep well with. I absolutely love their breakfast, and the free bike you can borrow to ride everywhere since its great location is close to many attractions. Most importantly, the staffs are super friendly and helpful!!!

Might be kind of small for two adults and one child. I would appreciate it if we can have more closet room.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel and thought it was wonderful. The location is excellent! Walking distance from Nishiki Market, a train station, coffee, and a 7-11; everything you could possibly need and more!!! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They stored our baggage prior to check-in and following check-out for a few hours, which was a huge help. I love that the windows open for fresh air and the new towels daily was a nice touch. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay at it again in an instance!

Everything about this hotel was really great. The only improvements I could possibly think of would be: the pillows are pretty thin and there could be a fan for the bathroom.

Location was ideal. Staff were very nice. Room size was better than others we visited. Toiletries and pjs are provided. Public bath was a bit small but allows entry with tattoos without covering them.

Breakfast ends at 9:00am, which is a bit early for a hotel. Although washing machines and dryers are available, they are always busy and you have to use them at odd hours. The dryer, even after 1 hours, still didn’t dry our clothes, so we had to pack them like that. The machines were also very dirty. This is the only negative about this hotel.

The room was clean and more spacious compared to our other stays in Japan. The bed was on the firmer side, and the pillow wasn’t as fluffy as I’m used to, but overall, it was a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly, and the hotel offers convenient amenities, including a washing machine and dryer—though it took 90 minutes to dry my clothes since there’s only one setting. They offer toothbrushes, hair brush, body towels, etc. There’s also a microwave available, and a 7-Eleven right across the street, which was extremely convenient. Great location as well. I would stay here again.

The dryer did not work well

this hotel is in a great location, many places can be reached on foot if you like walking! nice breakfast, not the biggest choice, but not the smallest either. you can put together a European or Japanese style. a view of the park from the cafeteria is included. it's very nice to start the day admiring the blossoming trees! the public bath was also very enjoyable: clean, comfortable, and you can admire the garden while relaxing in the hot water!

not very convenient and understandable payment system for laundry

This hotel was such a lucky choice! I absolutely loved the neighbourhood, it's safe, quiet, walking distance to the market and many restaurants, and a subway station that directly connects to Kyoto's main station. There's a 7/11 across the street. The rooms are quiet and cozy, and there's a beautiful garden. Staff was very friendly and received my luggage for me while I was out. I would return to this hotel.

Really can't think of anything that wouldn't be overly nitpicky.

The hot spring is beautiful, and the breakfast is worth every yen. The room is spacious, the washing machines are easy to use, and there’s a convenient store right across the street if you need extra food. The front desk personnel’s speak excellent English and it was so convenient for us to communicate with them. They let us use their umbrellas and helped store our luggage after we check out. The hotel is close to a lot of good restaurants, shopping mall, and public transportation facilities. I recommend this place

The location is fantastic, just in the center of Kyoto, close to the Nishiki market and subway which will get you to a train station in 10 min. The staff was absolutely wonderful, room was good size in comparison with other Japanese hotels, bed was large and comfy, pillows hard though.. decor a bit dated but it didn't matter for us, as we only slept there. Onsen was great, opened until late and there was no problem with my tattoo. Was handy to have a good selection of toiletries, onsen gown and slippers in the room. There were free bikes but you need to get up early to get it, as they're in demand:) I really recommend the place for an easy and comfortable stay.

High-quality Japanese obanzai breakfast with a great selection of salads and vegetables—highly recommended! However, the menu tends to be quite similar every day, so it might feel repetitive over time. If you're looking for more variety, I suggest trying a café (kissaten) or an obanzai restaurant that offers breakfast options. The staff are very polite and kind, they all speak great english. Great location--quiet and peaceful with cute shops and famous cafes nearby

No complimentary water bottles, and the room lacked a phone. Those were the only drawbacks.

Location to train station was excellent. Was within easy walking distance to shops and food. 7-11 directly across the street. Starbucks within 100m from hotel. Staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Great hanging room for clothing in the room.

The rooms felt a little dated. Mattresses were super firm. No exhaust meant the bathroom got very steamy after showers.
