My husband and I stayed 5 nights at this hotel and thought it was wonderful. The location is excellent! Walking distance from Nishiki Market, a train station, coffee, and a 7-11; everything you could possibly need and more!!! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They stored our baggage prior to check-in and following check-out for a few hours, which was a huge help. I love that the windows open for fresh air and the new towels daily was a nice touch. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay at it again in an instance!

Everything about this hotel was really great. The only improvements I could possibly think of would be: the pillows are pretty thin and there could be a fan for the bathroom.

The room was clean and more spacious compared to our other stays in Japan. The bed was on the firmer side, and the pillow wasn’t as fluffy as I’m used to, but overall, it was a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly, and the hotel offers convenient amenities, including a washing machine and dryer—though it took 90 minutes to dry my clothes since there’s only one setting. They offer toothbrushes, hair brush, body towels, etc. There’s also a microwave available, and a 7-Eleven right across the street, which was extremely convenient. Great location as well. I would stay here again.

this hotel is in a great location, many places can be reached on foot if you like walking! nice breakfast, not the biggest choice, but not the smallest either. you can put together a European or Japanese style. a view of the park from the cafeteria is included. it's very nice to start the day admiring the blossoming trees! the public bath was also very enjoyable: clean, comfortable, and you can admire the garden while relaxing in the hot water!

not very convenient and understandable payment system for laundry

The location is fantastic, just in the center of Kyoto, close to the Nishiki market and subway which will get you to a train station in 10 min. The staff was absolutely wonderful, room was good size in comparison with other Japanese hotels, bed was large and comfy, pillows hard though.. decor a bit dated but it didn't matter for us, as we only slept there. Onsen was great, opened until late and there was no problem with my tattoo. Was handy to have a good selection of toiletries, onsen gown and slippers in the room. There were free bikes but you need to get up early to get it, as they're in demand:) I really recommend the place for an easy and comfortable stay.

High-quality Japanese obanzai breakfast with a great selection of salads and vegetables—highly recommended! However, the menu tends to be quite similar every day, so it might feel repetitive over time. If you're looking for more variety, I suggest trying a café (kissaten) or an obanzai restaurant that offers breakfast options. The staff are very polite and kind, they all speak great english. Great location--quiet and peaceful with cute shops and famous cafes nearby

No complimentary water bottles, and the room lacked a phone. Those were the only drawbacks.

Location to train station was excellent. Was within easy walking distance to shops and food. 7-11 directly across the street. Starbucks within 100m from hotel. Staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. Great hanging room for clothing in the room.

The rooms felt a little dated. Mattresses were super firm. No exhaust meant the bathroom got very steamy after showers.

Absolutely fantastic..can't say one bad word about this hotel. Very comfortable rooms and beds, all necessary amenities like fridge in the room, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer ( on first floor). Very good location near metro station and main road yet still quiet.. this hotel also have his own small public bath which is very relaxing place after whole day of sightseeing. Very helpful staff

Beautiful garden in the lobby area. Also, it was wonderful to have the access to the onsen bath. The breakfast was delicious and, again, the view from the eating area to the courtyard garden was great.

Although the hotel is a few minutes walk away from a train station, it was quite a bit away from the main Kyoto Station where I first arrived, and had to find my way around to get to the hotel.

The staff were so good, really going out of their way to make sure the stay was prefect. The location was excellent, walking distance to most tourist attractions and lots of amazing restaurants.

The bathroom is a bit dated and not built for tall people. The decor of the restaurant could do with a revamp.

Loved everything. Moved our two twin beds together to make a king, super comfortable beds and linens. Hotel is in an amazing location, had tons of great amenities and kind staff. Public bath was tattoo friendly and so relaxing. You can open one of the sliding windows in the bath area to enjoy the Japanese garden while you soak
