Location was great. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room was super clean as expected. Free toiletries including razor, face moisturizer, lotion, etc. Only 10 10-minute walk from Nishiki Market and subway stops. Plenty of restaurants within steps. The double twin room that we stayed at was actually bigger than expected but the bathroom was weird. You have to to step up to enter the bathroom. Felt like a cruise ship bathroom, honestly. Very small, but everything was functional. Just the step up threw us off. Not recommended if you are traveling with an elderly person. FREE daily breakfast was great. Choice of Japanese or Western plus a little buffet area, complete with juice and coffee. Also you can request late check but they charge like $20

Bathroom was cramped and you have to step up (meaning its not the same level as the room. It like cruise ship size bathroom, but everything was functional. They only provide 1 pillow per person and its super thin. I guess most budget Japanese hotels have the same amenities.

Nice and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Room was clean, comfortable and functional. Quiet neighbourhood with a convenience store nearby. Location is close to two subway lines and a Hankyu line train station (e.g., for Osaka and Kobe).

They were very strict with the check-in time and the check-out time was too early (10 am).

The location was pretty good. The room itself was ok. WiFi seemed to work just fine. Nothing negative to say about the staff or overall stay.

The breakfast was not excatly to our taste but this is of course a matter of opinion. The pillow was too hard. If there is an opportunity to change the pillow it should definetely be advertised more clearly. The check-out at 10am is really early but was not a surprise.

The staff was great, the room size was also good considering the location. The main thing that was uncomfortable was the pillows. Eventhough, it is a signature pillow as advertised by the hotel, I suggest you have spare pillows for guests who are uncomfortable with such standards.

Great location. Mighty fine service here. Not having a mandatory cleaning was nice. The last two hotels had this so it was good to know no one would be intruding. I didn't go for the 900 yen breakfast as I didn't have time in the mornings but, it looked delightful.

The air conditioning had a slightly funky smell. It wasn't too bad as long as the fan was kept on low.

I enjoyed the little cafe in the lobby. There was a nice place to put the laptop up and get some work done in the morning before walking out into town. The location is excellent and only two blocks away from the main strip and close to everything that you want to see in Kyoto

The proximity to many of Kyoto's popular spots was very convenient. I liked that the dining room space at the front of the hotel was open to use after breakfast, as it was a nice place to rest in other than your room. The room was a bit small but adequate size for solo traveling.

The room was small but very comfortable, the location was perfect for me, . The staff were very pleasant & helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

Good location, beds quite comfortable. Breakfast very very nice.

TV was difficult to operate. Couldn't change languages for the instructions as it would then stop working altogether.
