Very close to the hotel though not as obvious as I initially thought . Got confused as the are so many Mitsui Gardens in Kyoto - make sure you check you are heading for the right one ! Nice , good sized rooms . Good beds .

Truthfully nothing . Chose purely for proximity to the station ( would not normally pick this as I really don’t like this area as it’s not very attractive ) as actually wanted Osaka but couldn’t get what I wanted for the price so this was a better deal . If it’s your first time in Kyoto I’d go for Higashiyama as it’s calm , scenic and a good base for sightseeing particularly if you like walking . If you just want to be close to the station for easier access for day trips it’s fine otherwise a rather characterless area in a city with lots more appeal .

Large room compared to others hotel. The position is wonderful: 5 min walking distance from all metro/train station so perfect if you need something for sightseening. Just few min walking from kyoto tower . Staff is friendly.

Breakfast has a limited choice if you come from europe,but that s really a minor point,we are in Japan anyway! ;)

Excellent stay and very conveniently located. Only 3 minutes from Kyoto station east exit so it's very easy to check-in if you're coming by train. It's also easy to move around Kyoto from this hotel as you're near the main train and bus station. The room was spacious and very clean. There was enough room to fully open big luggages so it was very convenient. The bed was comfortable and the room service was very efficient. The hotel strives to reduce waste so you'll have less wasted consummables, which is very good for everyone. There was no window that could be opened but instead a very nice moon decoration. The atmosphere was very nice. No noise at all even located near the train station. At the lobby, a nice map to locate sightseeing spots, and the service was very polite. Would definitly come again next time we're visiting Kyoto!

The amazing thing about Japan is that the hotels have washing machines that you can utilise coin operated, although the hotel was excellent, we felt there were not enough washing machines, we’d have to wait until the next day, or wait for someone to finish which could take up to 90mins for a cycle, and after a long busy day sometimes you rather sleep then have to wait for a machine to be free, and if you’re travelling light luxuries like a washing machine are important

For me, it is a great choice that balances overall quality and price. It is not as cheap as other cheap hotels near Kyoto station, but it is affordable with high-quality hospitality and room design. The location is just near the station but the entrance is facing a small road. However, I don't think it will be hard to find so no worries about the location. The room is large, just remember to get your amenities near the elevator. The breakfast is good enough, might be fewer choices compared to other Mitsui Garden Hotels in Kyoto but for a hotel near the station, it's far more than enough. Overall, I will be highly recommend this hotel, which will be a great place for your stay in Kyoto.

Very good location, extremely close to the Kyoto station and there is a 7-11 and family mart within 3 mins walk from the hotel. Rooms are huge, comfortable and clean. There is a nice selection of western and Japanese breakfast. There are plenty of food options within walking distance and there is also a pharmacy right next to the hotel.

It can be quite challenging for taxi drivers to locate the hotel as some of the roads near the hotels are one-way and thus, taxi drivers would need to do a detour to get to the hotel. However, this is not a major issue as Kyoto station is just round the corner.

The hotel is literally located right next to Kyoto Station, making it incredibly convenient. The interior of the hotel felt almost brand new. Our room was clean and had a Japanese-style design, which really made us feel like we were in Kyoto! We stayed in a standard room, which was a good size for two adults. The bathroom had a generously sized bathtub, which was perfect for soaking after walking around Kyoto in the chilly February weather. Another nice touch was the lounge area, where free drinks and snacks were available—we could help ourselves anytime during our stay. All in all, we were quite happy with two nights at this hotel.

Location - just a short walk from the Kyoto station, near convenience stores Service - very friendly, English speaking, housekeeping was excellent Room - beds were very comfortable and room is big size for Japan. Decor was excellent, amenities were complete Lounge for guests where you can get coffee, tea, some snacks and candies and a quiet place to relax We stayed for new year and on Jan. 1, they were serving sake in the lobby for guests and gave us cute lamps for souvenirs Check in was smooth Wifi was good Value for money - room price was reasonable

When you enter, it smells like a spa and you smell Lavender aromatherapy. Although the scent is relaxing, it is a bit too strong so maybe just diffuse it a bit more. Other than that, everything was wonderful! We will stay again!

Great location. It's literally cross the road to A3 exit of the train station. Close to food, shopping, public transport and taxi stand. Room clean and is big enough to sleep three, beds are comfortable, and hot water shower is great. There is laundry and smoke room in the hotel, as well as a guest lounge at lower ground where you are spend sometime after checkout and before your flight. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. There is luggage delivery services between the local mitsui garden hotels, as well as the other city which you need staff's help. we sent two luggage to our next stop, very smooth process.

Overall pretty good

the room was very nice and big, there was a wardrobe, they even put in a phone charger. Japanese hotels are the most equipped in the world anyway, but there is an extra level of sophistication, and this prevailed here. You can ask for breakfast, and both continental and Japanese breakfasts were available in abundance. There was a coffee maker in the room.

it was unusual that the light switches next to the bed were black telephone charger switches and therefore it was difficult to turn on the light at all. Also, due to the location of the hotel, there are actually windows in the rooms because you can only look at the street on one side of the hotel.
