The property is very nice. It’s new, centrally located and great rooms. We loved staying here.

They are extreme stickler for time about everything. Checkin - has to be dot at 3 even though rooms are available. Breakfast dot at 10….their app which is used to order stops working at 10:01. Rigid to give another card to go up since we forgot ours on top. For a family with children all these don’t work. In breakfast, if you want slight modification because your children want it a little different, very rigid to accommodate.

Location could not be beat. It was adjacent to the Kyoto station! It took us walking 5 minutes between the hotel entrance and the Kyoto Station entrance. Bonus is seeing the Kyoto Tower every single time we walked from the hotel to the station. Both restaurants on property were also very good both for dining on location and in-room dining. This is rare occurrence for a hotel! Loved that there's also afternoon tea on offer at their Bar Lounge. The amenities were all very good. The shower water pressure was amazing. The bed and beddings were plush and very comfortable. I slept very well!

The hotel is about 6 years old and in excellent condition. It has a modern minimalistic design and incorporates interesting art work throughout. It is less than a 5 minute level walk from Kyoto Station in a quiet location. Exit the Central gate and turn right/head east once you reach the piazza. It’s super convenient to take the train and buses to key tourist sights from Kyoto Station. The passionfruit juice and minestrone in the Western breakfast was heavenly. The Japanese set breakfast was high protein with egg, tofu and grilled fish. Both options are great. The choice is not the big but the quality of the ingredients are good.

Only complaint is the thin one ply toilet paper but I understand it’s more environmentally friendly.

While some aspects like the spa may not offer great value for money, it remains a reliable and comfortable choice—especially for those looking to stay near Kyoto Station.

Spa: The spa experience was average. While the setting was pleasant, the overall service and amenities did not justify the high cost. For the price, I expected a more memorable or personalized experience. Dining: I did not try any of the restaurants, so I cannot comment on the food or dining experience.

The hotel was simply beautiful in its simplicity. It was relaxing and the whole place smelled like a spa. The service was incredible, with each employee we encountered excelling at their job! The location is wonderful just a 2 minute walk into the Kyoto Station. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with every need considered. The room features were controlled by a tablet…lighting, curtains, AC. The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The provided pajamas were great. Breakfast was wonderful…we chose Western style but there was also a Japanese style option. We used the spa for massages which were excellent…only open from 1-8pm. Highly recommend!

There was some train noise being right by the station but there was a break from 11pm to 5:00 am.

The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the train station and very quiet. We had a slightly bigger room, which came in handy as we were staying for a week and carrying a lot of luggage. The staff are extremely friendly, but tend to be that delightful Japanese complicatedness. We always chose the Japanese breakfast, which is in a separate restaurant on the second floor. A lovely hotel, perfect location by the train station. This was our third visit and I would stay here again and again.

The staff were friendly helpful and always happy to help. The entrance to the hotel, the lobby and the public area were way better than most and had a definite wow factor. Naomi the robot was such a delight, and a surprise, that we would have liked to have taken her back home with us. The shower, bathroom and separate toilet were exceptional. If we had known in advance that there would be a pop up bar in the lobby, which incidentally is spectacular at night with the light show, we would have planned to have a night cap.

A minor point, but it is quite difficult to get a non-milk espresso coffee in Japan. If one could get hot soy milk to add to an espresso coffee, at breakfast, it would have been great. Finally, even though it only took a few minutes when we departed, it took us about 45 minutes to find our way out of Kyoto station from the Shinkansen when we first arrived. A simple suggestion like, "exit Kyoto Station via the main Central Exit opposite Kyoto Tower. Turn 90 degrees right and the hotel is straight ahead of you and less than a minute's walk away". It was so easy after the first time. Finding all the suggested exits on various websites and interpreting Google was just too hard.

Clean, updated with a good sized table that was convenient

Not enough empty drawers, hooks or shelves to store my clothes and toiletries. All available drawers were taken up by the hotel to store various amenities.

Spacious, modern and very conveniently located.

We were accused of and charged for taking a beer from the refrigerator even tho we did not. Despite protesting this charge, I was still charged.

Fantastic location next to the Kyoto train station with access to all modes of transportation and an incredible array of restaurants as well as things to do. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and luxurious. The breakfast is superb with both buffet and ordering from a menu available and able to both be used at each sitting. The hotel staff was excellent - service was fast and the concierge helped us book a great restaurant for an awesome sushi dinner.

No ice machines on the floors means you have to go to the lobby or have ice sent up.
