Walking distance to the bus station… there is a starbucks 2 mins away from the hotel. The convenient store 7/11 is just 30 seconds from the hotel. Walking distance of 15 minutes to Kyoto centre, pontocho alley… For those with heavy luggages, the lift of the station is between 7/11 and starbucks. So just be mindful, you don’t need to cross the street to the train station. There are little coffee shops and a very nice bakery in the alleys.

The location of the hotel is perfect as there are a number of convenience stores nearby and it is very close to the subway/train station. It is also located near the main street where you can walk down straight to Yasaka Shrine and all of the attractions and shopping in that area. For all the Pokemon fans/families with children who love Pokemon, the Kyoto Pokemon Center is right around the corner! The room itself was very spacious and was able to accommodate 2 people with large sized luggage. All amenities that are not provided in the room are available at the reception lobby. I didn't have any experience with the hotel breakfast, however; my dad did decide to pay for the breakfast 1-2 times during our stay and quite enjoyed the meal.

Great location, a few minutes walk to convenient store, shops, restaurants, subway lines and buses. Room is spacious for one person with amenities I need to stay comfortably for 1 week. I like that they have hard and soft pillows to choose from. They have PJ sets you can grab. Vending and ice machines are helpful in the summertime. The whole place is clean and well maintained.

We were unsuccessful to reserve for Mishima tei in restaurant in Kyoto before we left for our trip. We went to the restaurant in person as soon as we arrived in Kyoto to try to find any available opening during our 10 days stay, willing to pay in advance which is one of the requirements of the restaurant but was told we need to have the hotel to book for us. We went back to the hotel but the staff showed us their policy: hotel does not do any restaurant booking for clients and also stated: do not leave hotel number to the restaurant when we do booking ourselves. It is very disappointed.

The location is great for getting around by foot or for travel with two stations with different lines very close. They had a good range of amenities (bath powder, face masks, hair conditioning treatments, etc., in addition to the usual stuff) and breakfast had different options each day which kept it interesting. The staff were really helpful in sending my luggage onto the airport for me. It was also really handy to be able to borrow an umbrella from the entrance.

The bathtub was deep, but it did have one of those annoying self-draining things once the water reaches a certain level, so you can't be fully immersed in water if you're not short.

The breakfast was fantastic, there was a good variety that changed daily. The room was spacious and very clean. The option to have fresh towels delivered daily was good. The pajamas and amenities provided at reception were very good and makes for less packing when travelling here. The location was also good, right next to a 24 hour convenience store and close to public transport.

The lack of having a communal area for sitting or catching up on work. Also didnt like the idea of paying more to watch TV so I didnt.

The housekeeping rules were a little confusing, and the bathroom was quite narrow. I had the wall right in front of my face when I was sitting on the toilet, but it was manageable given my height and weight.

The hotel was great. Location - superb, in the center of it all (at least for me was very convenient Room - Just like almost everywhere in Japan, room was small (I was solo, so that's why I had no issues with it)

The only think I can say I didn't like was not only for this hotel, but for almost all that I went to. Staff is super nice, but there is this language barrier that personally for me is a somewhat deal-breaker, having in mind the country is SO POPULAR and buzzing with tourists.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, perfect for two people, and we were even able to have three suitcases open on the floor at the same time! We could also pick up our own pajamas and amenities like toothbrushes at the reception, which was a nice touch. The washing machine was also super convenient. The location was great, close to a metro station and not far from Kyoto Main Station. You could even take a direct train from the nearby metro to Osaka, which was very handy.

The only downside was that the room didn’t get any natural daylight, but overall, we were happy with our stay.

I loved the entrance and the facade of the building that appeared very traditional. All the staff were polite and welcoming. Especially the kitchen staff for breakfast buffet was especially nice . We enjoyed the Japanese breakfast with different choices. Room size was just right for a Japanese hotel. There is a convenient store in the same block. We also enjoyed eating at the food hall in the building across the hotel.

Minor inconvenience. Even though metro station is only few steps from the hotel, it was further away from the main attractions. We tend to walk to places.
