Beautiful hotel in Kyoto. Very close to the train station that can take you to all the major tourist areas or a 15-20 min walk. Amenities were great, everything was clean and the staff were very helpful!

I paid a bit extra for a bigger room & it was great. The mattress was super comfortable. The staff were lovely too. In a good location, about a 3 minute walk to Gojo train station & 15 min walk to main shopping road. The entrance going into the hotel is so beautiful. They have a guest lounge in the basement which was great, free coke, ginger ale, sparkling water, coffee, tea & ice cream. They also have some washing machines that I didn’t use.

The only negative was that my room was on the 1st floor opposite a fire station. Every so often the trucks with their sirens on would leave to respond to a fire call. We go to bed late so thankfully when it would happen at around 11pm/midnight we were still awake. Occasionally it did wake us during the night but with ear plugs it was manageable.

Rarely put reviews, but The Blossom Kyoto warrants an exception. Top-modern zen-style hotel in a central location. Extremely well appointed, sound isolated and spacious rooms with very comfortable bedding, very nice shower and a separate toilet (“moderate king”). If you’ve breakfast (from 06:00 to 11:00) included or if you take paid breakfast (~ €20 pp), you’ll receive vouchers for a light meal (yummy choices) between 11:00 and 14:00. The breakfast itself is plentiful with a main dish of your choice, complemented with a widely varied buffet, with both typical Japanese and western style dishes. A further bonus are free drinks (coffee, tea, sparkling water, cola, ginger ale and juices) during most of the day and evening. Ice-cubes, microwave with bowls and cutlery and washing/drying machines (the latter paid but at reasonable tariffs) are available 24/7. Last but not least: super attentive and friendly staff. Ahh, not to forget that two steps away there’s a Fresco 24/7 and a 7/11.

Detail oriented hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Guests are welcomed by small drinks during check in, which is super tasty. The onsen place is well cleaned and equipped with everything you need. Snack bar outside of the onsen always has things ready. I’ve to admit that the coffee machine does produce good quality coffee!!! Although it’s a bit outside of the busy area in Kyoto, it’s actually good to stay away from the hustle bustle area. The tram station is close to the hotel which is convenient enough. Also there is a supermarket next to hotel where you can actually buy some food.

Nothing.

Wow. That’s honestly the first word that comes to mind after staying at The Blossom Kyoto. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I felt like I was entering a peaceful, elegant retreat right in the heart of the city. Everything about this hotel screams attention to detail—the design, the service, the little touches that make you feel genuinely cared for. The rooms are just… flawless. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with that perfect mix of modern comfort and Japanese style. And the beds? Insanely comfortable. I didn’t want to get up in the morning. Plus, the bathroom was like a mini spa with top-tier amenities and a fantastic shower. The staff deserve their own shoutout. Incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. I felt so welcome, like a VIP without the fuss. And the location couldn’t be better—minutes away from public transport, with great restaurants and temples nearby, but still quiet enough to relax after a busy day. The Blossom Kyoto made my trip unforgettable. It’s one of those places you actually look forward to coming back to after a long day of sightseeing.

If I really had to point out something, it would be that the breakfast, while tasty and beautifully presented, can feel a little limited if you’re staying for several days—you might end up seeing the same options on repeat. Also, for travelers who enjoy full-scale hotel facilities like a large spa or swimming pool, The Blossom doesn’t offer those extras. It focuses more on refined comfort and quiet luxury rather than resort-style amenities. Honestly though, these are small details and didn’t take away from how fantastic the overall experience was.

This hotel was excellent! The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are huge and super clean. Amazing complementary soft drinks and coffee in the lounge room! My son forgot his airpods in the room after checking out and immediately we called them and they found it and will sent it to us for another hotel in Osaka… so grateful!

Coming from Europe while you choose swimming pool on the filter of booking.com here in Japan public baths are onsen… therefore not a swimming pool. I understand that is a japanese culture but you need to be careful while you choose your hotels. The hotel was in a street with a lots of traffic sometimes a bit too noisy. It’s a shame that the bar is not open before 6pm .

Very comfortable beds in our triple room and we enjoyed the tatami mat area for writing postcards and relaxing. My son loved the lounge in the basement with free snacks (cookies, sodas, coffee machines, popsicles). I enjoyed the onsen (also in the basement) on two mornings and basically had it to myself. A few minutes walk from several different subway and bus lines making it pretty easy to travel anywhere in Kyoto.

We asked for a restaurant recommendation and the nearest post office in the lobby, but the staff weren't really able to help out. Nothing Google couldn't help but was surprised as these seemed like fairly common questions.

We were a family of four and had two high floor rooms. The rooms are fair size and as expected for double rooms. The property was located on the main road but sound was not a problem. Its well located within walking distance to all the neighbourhood areas and main shopping district in Kyoto. The highlight was the onsen which was kept in great condition with daily cleaning. As well as a self serve drinks area and laundry facilities onsite. We had our luggage transferred onwards to our next hotel in Osaka and the reception staff handled everything.

Nothing

We only ate breakfast once - We are not huge Japanese breakfast fans so we only ate on our last morning. There is an OK selection of other breakfast items. The onsen was very nice as was the guest lounge bar which supplied tea, a coffee machine, various juices, canned drinks, mini snickers bars, nuts and biscuits all free of charge. An easy walk to the subway and maybe a 20 minute walk to the Kyoto Train Station. The Nishiki market was also about a 15 mins walk away. We are from NZ and found the cost of a taxi to the train station - NZ$12.00 to be extremely reasonable.

Everything was wonderful - would definitely recommend.
