Staff were very accommodating when we accidentally booked a smoking room. They were able to quickly change our room. The view is spectacular. The elevator is fast.

The rooms are a bit dated, but excellent value.

Premier Hotel Cabin Matsumoto is located opposite the Matsumoto train station and almost next door to the bus station, making it a great location to stay if you plan day trips from Matsumoto or even for exploration of Matsumoto itself. From one side (and we were lucky to have our room located there) you get a view of the Train station and a the mountains on the horizon, which is also a good way to start your day. The breakfast was traditional Japanese, with local ingredients and meals available and it was quite tasty and the variety was nice. The Hotel also has a small laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 driers, which was quite busy.

The access to floors seems to be elevator only, as the stair case was marked as emergency only. I feel it is always a good option to have access by stairs as well and during our stay one of the elevators broke down for several hours, causing long waiting times for the remaining elevator.

The property is pretty accessible, right across JR Matsumoto Station. There's a convenience store and a supermarket nearby, making it a good place to stay. The staffs are friendly and nice. They even gave a coin to my son to be put in the gachapon thing on the front desk. My son was happy to receive a gachapon toy. The room is clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The beds are nice and the room is just big enough for our family, we had our bags and a stroller in tow. The property may be a bit old, but everything is maintained and the facilities are available and functioning properly. Our 2 days stay had been comfortable. Breakfast is good too. Variety of meals were served. There's a free coffee on the dining area. There's a computer also for use by the guests. Amenities were also provided in the room.

The location is prime. Train station & Bus Terminal are directly opposite ....but paid parking (¥800 / ¥1000) are abt 4-5 min walk away, a little cumbersome if you hav heavy luggage. Many eateries ,convenient shops & a mall within 1 min walk Aircon is good if not a little noisy. Japanese reception staff able to communicate in English.

Pillow is too flat for me

Excellent location with many eateries, shops and car rentals, even hospitals. Just walking distance to Matsumoto station. Great mountain view and good spread for breakfast. Value for money!

The room is slightly small. Will be congested if you have big luggage. I guess this is to be expected for its location and price.

A most convenient one-night stopover for those headed to Kamikochi. We were headed for the mountains with our heavy backpacks. It is a no-frills room that is clean, neat, and has exactly what you require and throws in a great view with the mountain ranges. While the staff did not speak English, we were able to communicate well enough with a few words and they explained to us how to check out early in the morning to take the Alpico bus to Kamikochi. Location and price reigns supreme for this hotel, it is right beside the Matsumoto train station as well as the Alpico bus station at a very decent price.

Location: Excellently placed! It's a 2-3 minute walk from Matsumoto Station. The reception and the dining space is on the 10F. You can see the view of the city and the surrounding mountain ranges from up there! There is a convenient store at the ground floor, and a nearby grocery store in the next building (ALPICO). There's a lot of restaurants to choose from that are located around the station or on the same street as the hotel. Staff + Check-in/out: The staff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions! They told us about the breakfast meal times and the meal tickets that you can choose at check-in by the reception counter. There are also free sachets of facial cleanser, moisturizing lotion and a face mask. Room: It's on the smaller side, but it had its private toilet and bath area. The room was very clean and fresh pajamas were provided, along with the standard hotel amenities (toothbrush, razor, hair brush). For our 2-night stay, the hotel is doing something to align itself with the SDGs. They explained that they will not be offering full room cleaning daily, but will still drop off clean towels by our door. For 3+night stays, cleaning will be offered every other day. This was explained with a pamphlet in English at reception. Breakfast: It was our favourite part of our stay, aside from the location! They had a lot of different types of food to choose from! I especially liked that they served oyaki - a local Nagano specialty. It's similar to a pork bun, except that the filling is vegetables (nozawana, I think it was called). The meal ticket times were very helpful so it wasn't crowded and there was a seat for everyone.

Nothing much! Except that for us, the bed mattress felt too firm. But if you're someone who doesn't mind it, then you should be fine.

The hotel is opposite to Matsumoto station. It’s easy to go to Kamikoji and other attractions: Matsumoto castle, etc. They provide the guideline - how to travel to Kamikoji. For the room, it’s so clean, not too small and has a hair dryer. The restroom has bath hub and the body shampoo, hair shampoo and conditioner of DHC. I really like them. Moreover, I love their breakfast although they are not various but they are good taste ❤️

location was perfect. right beside the matsumoto bus terminal. 2 hour bus ride from terminal to tokyo shinjuku station. hotel was modern and clean. laundry and dryer (not so powerful so we had to hang dry for a night in the bedroom) at level 4. big supermarket at the basement of the matsumoto bus terminal. will stay here again when we visit matsumoto. staff was very helpful too. they lent us a wheelchair and trolley for a full day and it made our travel plans so much more convenient.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, possibly the best I have had in Japan. The buffet breakfast was delicious, many different options with a beautiful view of the mountains, they even included the top 3 recommended dishes people should try in Matsumoto. Parking was only a 5 minute walk and always had spaces available, family mart also on the bottom floor of the hotel and train station right across the road so a great location.

The walls were extremely thin so we could hear peoples children screaming until late into the night. One family arrived at the hotel at 12am with about 7 people staying in different rooms, and stood in the hallway yelling to eachother while the children ran up and down the hallway screaming, even after entering the room they continued to yell and as the walls are so thin we had to ask them to be quiet, we also heard guests in the room to the other side doing karaoke at 1am. Perhaps it would be good if the reception reminds guests to keep their voices down when arriving late at night. While the room was quite clean, there was small piles of dust in the corners and perhaps under the bed, the entire 4 days I was sneezing due to the dust in the room.
