Is clean and in the good location, you can walk to the station easily in the morning if you need to go to Kamikochi. Breakfast is also very good.

The late night meal that they offer is not really real they only offer for like 20 Ramen and ice cream like 10 ice cream. A lot of people come more than 50 but they don’t have anything to eat.

The breakfast was great . The salad has a wide of nuts . The complimentary ramen was so welcoming .

The parking space - first it was a walk away from the hotel and is not free. There are other nearby carpark which the hotel should provide free.

The hotel is modern and cosy. It is perfectly located between the main railway station and the castle. Plus, it is surrounded by so many good restaurants. The staff are nice and helpful and they offer noodles to guests at 9pm, much appreciated

Rooms, as in many cities in Japan, are extremely tiny. Two people with two suitcases struggle to find space in the room to open them and move at the same time. Honestly, it is a pity that such modern hotel has such small rooms

Great location close to train station, restaurants & castle. Nice buffet breakfast & free waffles/ice cream after 8pm.

Family suites unavailable so we had to book two rooms.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Iroha Grand Hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Matsumoto train station, surrounded by shops, eateries (including McDonald's!), and several 7-11s. There's even a Starbucks nearby for coffee lovers in the train station. The hotel room, though compact, was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We appreciated the smart use of space, such as the area under the bed that fits a large suitcase. One of the highlights was the nightly complimentary dessert or ramen, a lovely touch offered on a first-come, first-served basis. What especially warmed our hearts was the staff’s attentiveness—when they noticed a lighting issue during housekeeping, they took the initiative to fix it without us needing to ask. That level of care made us feel well looked after. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its convenience, cleanliness, and thoughtful service.

One suggestion for improvement: it would have been excellent if bottled water was provided in the rooms, or at least if there were a water dispenser available in the lobby for guests.

The location is very close to train station and walking distance to several points of interests in Matsumoto. Breakfast is great, plenty of choice.

Room is very small for two people, although we made it work and we only had two backpacks with us. But it was the only option available and the rate was actually not high compared to other hotels we stayed in. So all good.

Communication with the hotel was great. We got our bags delivered to the hotel prior to arriving and everything happened smoothly.

Not sure if we booked the room incorrectly, or because we requested a big bed, but we had a room with two big single beds close together. Wasn’t an issue for us.

Convenient location close to Matsumoto station, and within walking distance to key attractions in the city. Hotel is generally clean and comfortable, which is great for staying the night.

A tad on the pricier end for Matsumoto hotels.

First time staying in Matsumoto ♡ ✮⋆˙ Pros: • Location was great, conveniently located near the bus station which took me to Kamikochi and back to Shinjuku! There were stores and restaurants located nearby too! • Price: reasonably priced, and I got a large bed as a solo traveller. • There was ample space in the room and I could store my luggage under the bed! • I liked the smell of the soaps provided • There were free food (which ran out fast) and guides/suggestions! I followed it and ate delicious horse meat !! <𝟑 .ᐟ Cons: • Truthfully, I can’t think of any. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if I ever find myself back in Matsumoto!
