I recently stayed at this hotel and enjoyed several aspects of it. The onsen on the ground floor was a relaxing feature, and the tea area was a nice touch, offering refreshments like tea and welcome snacks at specific times, which was a great way to unwind. The room was clean, and the staff were very welcoming, making the stay pleasant.

However, there were a few downsides. The room felt a bit cramped for three people, and the main building had a strong cigarette smell, especially on every floor as soon as the elevator doors opened. Even the vending machine and microwave areas had the odor, which was quite off-putting.

The location was great 10 minutes walk fron the station Good restaurants near by.

Property was extremely clean, the rooms were comfortable and loved the tea/comic book room. The staff were very accomodating and helpful! Was a really nice atmosphere overall.

The beds and pillows weren’t very comfortable, but not a big issue as the rest of the stay was great!

My room was a double room in their newly renovated wing — it was spacious and was tastefully renovated. The hotel also offers free bicycle rentals which was amazing in Matsumoto, it allowed us to visit public baths (apart from the hotel onsen) and other attractions in the area.

Excellent hotel with onsen. The hotel is located next to Matsumoto station, only 10 min walk. The staff was lovely and friendly. The room was cozy with a desk and all the necessities of life. The bed was very comfortable with orthopaedic mattress.

Comfortable rooms with very friendly staff who went out of their way to help us. We appreciated the notices printed in English for us and even larger pyjamas. Great spot for a family to stay. Easy walk to all the attractions and train station close by.

The beds are supportive and comfortable, and the amenities are enjoyable. The public bath, green tea room and library were all clean and tidy. Note there is no tea in the green tea room, but they were serving Soba the night we were there.

Very clean and comfortable room. Accessible location on foot. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Great location and amazing staff. When checking in, a staff member realised I had no bag and went to help my partner park the car! Carried my bag up the steps.....wow! Amazing onsen on the ground floor, great experience and very relaxing 😌

Left my toilet bag behind but the staff even tried to return it to me on our continuing holiday!
