While Osaka itself eventually bored me, my stay here was the highlight. I had never slept on tatami mats before—it was a cool experience, and they were comfortable enough. The guesthouse had a really homely feel since it was an actual house. The owner was incredibly kind and accommodating; she even helped ship my luggage back to Tokyo, saving me from having to drag my suitcase to a convenience store to do it myself. Thanks to her, I got to spend my last day exploring instead. The metro was pretty close as well. Also, I accidentally locked the keys inside my suitcase lock, and she helped me break it open—lifesaver! Also, I saw her deep clean everyday.

Unlike the conventional hotels, this accommodation offers a rare opportunity to live in an authentic Japanese house, complete with its architectural charm and cultural nuances, such as sliding shoji doors, tatami flooring, and a peaceful atmosphere. While it may not have the conveniences of a luxury hotel, such as en-suite bathrooms or special mattress, it makes up for it in authenticity. If you're looking for something more than just accommodation, this guesthouse is a great choice. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Japan beyond the usual tourist spots!
I personally didn’t have a problem with it, but would be useful to know that the restroom and bathroom are located on the first floor, which means a short trip downstairs if you're staying on the second floor, but that's part of the experience! It encourages you to embrace the traditional lifestyle, where space and practicality are designed with a different philosophy.

One of the best places I stayed. The owner is very helpful and gentle. The guest house is extremely clean, well equipped and well maintained. You can experience a true Japanese charm there. Kitchen available all day long. Free tea. Shower room with shower gel, shampoo and hairdryer. Very quiet place. Easy check in. It's possible to leave there your personal belongings after the check out. Located in a quiet and safe area. Metro station near by. Small shops around and few minutes away a big supermarket.

Natsumi, the host is a beautiful person inside out. As soon as I stepped into her house, it felt like home, as it was very cozy. It was immaculately clean! Every time I returned to her house, she was there to welcome me, with a smile, asking me how the day went. Everything I needed was provided. The location was excellent, with the subway station a few steps away, a bakery next door, and the Tenjimbashi covered shopping arcade just across the road, an onsen within walking distance and many restaurants and cafes within easy reach. Yes, I would highly recommend a stay at Natsumi's women's guest house. I felt at ease and completely safe, being a solo traveller. Thank you Natsumi san!

Staff were absolutely brilliant, very thorough with explaining nearby attractions and facilities in the hostel. The stay felt very homely, similar to the vibe of staying at a friends house! The room I stayed in was neat and tidy, and felt clean and safe, which was important to me as a female traveller. There's also heating in the rooms, which is good for winter. There's a kitchen space with shared amenities, and a bath-room.
It was a little bit tricky to navigate to the hostel, but we got there in the end! To get to your rooms, you do have to go up a steep flight of stairs- just go slow and hold the handrail! :)

The host is extremely nice and helpful. It was so kind of her that she even offered to carry my suitcase to upstairs. I did it on my own but in other places I was not even asked. The building is also in a peaceful and well connected area. I really like the overall experience. There are two bicycles you can borrow. This is the best guesthouse I stayed in Japan.
Nothing, only thing I want to point out it’s that would be nice to know how to use the shower room. I am a bit confused when I saw it. It’s traditional designed.

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation has two rooms: a four-bed room and a twin room. I stayed in the four-bed room, and there was enough space for everyone. It was important to communicate regarding the use of the bathroom since there is only one shower and changing room, and a separate toilet with a sink. However, it was easy to coordinate with the other guests. If you're looking to experience a more authentic side of Japan, this accommodation is a great choice. It is located in a less touristy area. The Tenjimbashisuji Shopping Street with many food stalls is nearby. Highly recommended!

The house was large and cozy, in a typical Japanese-style neighborhood. The tatami room was beautiful, and the common room was full of cheerful details. Although I didn't see the owner much because I was only there to sleep, I think she's very friendly, and I hope the hostel continues to thrive. ^^ I also like that it's very close to the subway and the longest Shoutengai.
The mattress was a little hard, but I slept well anyway.

Location is perfect but very quiet in the neighbourhood. Very nice Japanese house style to experience as a tourist. The host was also super kind. When I first entered the place and I was one of the few who live there, I felt I would give this place 10 points but I decided to give a 9 instead for following reasons.
The toilet located in the first floor and the room is in the second floor. Which makes it a bit difficult to reach in the late night when you first need to cross other people’s sleeping places and go downstairs. It just makes you feel guilty for going to toilet. And all doors are clearly heard for opening or closing, so I was moving around in the house super carefully and tried my best not to disturb anyone. Not much of relaxing feeling to be honest.

Great location Very nice staff Traditional Japanese house
1 - beds too soft (you can feel the floor ) it was painful to sleep in such a soft Japanese bed . 2- The check in time deadline is too late and when I was sleeping , a new guest arrived and woke me up . Lights had to be switched on (which I understand ) and sound of a new guest zipping luggages (which i also understand) is not great when someone is already sleeping . 3- Sound of air conditioning too noisy .
