Located about a 15 minute walk from Umeda Station, the Gala Hotel was in a quieter part of town. Close to a metro station and combinis, it was the perfect combination of quiet but close enough to the action. Very good sound proofing of the rooms.

For those with mobility issues, the bathroom is raised. Additionally, the tub ledge was extremely high with no grab bars. Those of shorter stature or mobility issues may have difficulties clearing the ledge to get into and out of the tub/shower.

Great location, close to Nakatsu and Umeda. It’s newly renovated so everything is nice and clean.

My window gave to a hallway inside the building so there was very little natural lighting- for anyone who has concerns about that, I recommend messaging the hotel to confirm your room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very close to the underground and it was in a nice quiet neighbourhood

The only thing we did not like was the breakfast other than that everything else was perfect, we were given plenty of bottles of water to take to our room

The double room was actually a bit too small, but in line with typical Japanese hotel rooms.

This is a new hotel renovated and opened in March 2025. The location is good. Umeda stations (i.e., JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Umeda Station) are a 15-minute walk away, and the Osaka Metro Nakatsu Station is a 5-minute walk away. The price was relatively lower than other business hotels in the area.

While the main reason for booking this hotel was the price and I don’t have any specific aspects of the hotel I want to complain about, our stay was just ok for the price that I paid. Also, it’s relatively minor, the shower curtain was visibly moldy (see my photo).

The hotel is very well connected to the city via subway and trains, just two stops from Shin-Osaka Station (the station you arrive at via the Shinkansen, the bullet train from Tokyo and other parts of Japan). It's a simple hotel in every sense of the word. I loved the breakfast service, which was excellent. The staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service and resolve any issues.

I don't know if it was due to my lack of knowledge of electronic ventilation systems, but there was little air exchange. As always, I tried to solve the problem by opening the window, which doesn't open to the outside, but rather to a hallway. That's the only detail, which I imagine is easy to resolve.

The location of the hotel was really convenient, as it is located in a quiet area and near the subway. Even from Osaka Station, it is easy to walk to hotel within 20 minutes, if you do not have a heavy baggage and like walking - this is exactly what we did. The price, that we paid, taking in account that it was the weekend and also period of Osaka Expo 2025, was quite good. The room is small, but equipped with all necessary items. Having an AC, during this summer heat felt so good and they've got Netflix on TV ! We did not have breakfast, so I cannot comment on it, but the dining place itself looked very nice and colorful. And what's also important, the personal was very nice and helpful too. If I get a chance of traveling in Osaka again, I will definitely visit this place again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s beautifully modern, with tasteful decor and lots of greenery that creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect – very central and convenient for exploring Osaka, yet tucked away in a quiet area, which makes it pleasantly peaceful and free from street noise. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Anh at the front desk – she was amazing! She helped us with every request, and in a moment of emergency, she supported us calmly and efficiently, even translating important information from English to Japanese. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up extending it several times. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Osaka!

Breakfast wasn’t huge in variety, but it hit the spot! Danish-style bread, salad, baked potatoes, scrambled eggs, fruit punch, and a cozy mushroom soup — all topped off with fresh juice and drip coffee. Simple, but satisfying! Only three months since opening, and everything still feels brand new and super clean — totally satisfying! The storage space for a large luggages is a big plus for long-term travelers with lots of luggage. Lots of international guests, and the staff (including some non-Japanese members) speak both English and Japanese. Really traveler-friendly!

There's no floor access restriction with the room key, so security could be tighter. Would be great to have a luggage stand in the room for suitcases, The room lighting is nice and bright, but a dim footlight for nighttime would make it even better!"

The location of the hotel is a few minutes away from central Osaka, which is perfect for quieter nights and mornings. There are a few great restaurants and convenience stores a few steps away from the hotel. Hotel service was exceptional. Our room was spacious, modern and spotless.

The breakfast offering is incredibly minimal and not at all worth the extra expense. It's cheap and utterly lackluster. We ended up grabbing food each morning at the local convenience store (onigiri).
