This was the best hotel I’ve stayed in Osaka. It was in the heart of the shopping district and I couldn’t believe I paid so much less to be located where all the boujie shops were. There was even a Family Mart around the corner. The Ladies Floor was also quite thoughtful. I was very comfortable and I wish I stayed longer. Pro tip: use the Daimaru lift to exit Shinsaibashi station if you have heavy luggage.

The room is small by American standards but somehow the layout really worked and was extremely comfortable (for me alone, at least)! I can't believe how quiet it was, I had a next door neighbor and never heard a thing through the walls. The shower / bath was WONDERFUL -- modern and efficient and rather luxurious (though it would have been a small bath for a larger person, perfect for my short self!). Staff are great overall, some speak English well and others do their best, or use a translator app -- just be aware they're often overwhelmed by inflow of new guests, so I learned to wait until they were not busy to ask for help or questions, and they were always kind and eager to help! The neighborhood is SUPER fun, it's urban and busy but cozy and full of life, little shops and restaurants, even a great coffee shop. It's safe and full of hip young people (great people watching!). Great place to clothes shop as well. I recommend shopping for food and snacks at the nearby 7-11, delicious and inexpensive rice balls, fruit and even fresh eggs! I kept these in the hotel fridge and that was my daily breakfast and lunch :)

Be aware that the laundry facility is great, but will take a lot of time (the drying takes many cycles), and be prepared to use a translator app to figure it out if you can't read Japanese, but staff are helpful and give change at the desk to use the machines (only two, but rarely in use). Also, the attached restaurant is really charming (it's also a Hooka bar! Fun!) but the breakfast is not workable if you are used to American options -- it's mainly salad and miso soup and bread, and for lunch/dinner they often run out of various dishes, so I went elsewhere.

The location was fantastic, with just 3 mins walking distance from the train station. It is near Dotonburi too, with accessibility to shopping malls and a 7-11 nearby. Could tell that there was alot of thought put into the interior design and living habits, with touches of guest consideration like the manual clock put at the bed, ample space and storage at the bathroom to put our toiletries which are placed in a way that it is easy to reach for things. I thought it would be cramped, but maybe because I stayed alone, it was cosy and the bathroom was really big.

Bed was quite soft and pillow small, but for the price, you can’t get it all.

This property was located very near the Shinsaibashi station, right in the middle of the shopping district. The rooms were well equipped, functional and comfortable. Please do not expect a view.

Despite requesting for a non-smoking room, the room I was given smelled of cigarettes. The linens were ok, but the room just smelled of it. Didn’t ask for a transfer, as I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of moving my stuff.

The hotel is 2 minutes away from Shinsaibashi metro station (also easy to reach from Namba Station with a 15-minute walk). The staff is always friendly and helpful (especially when I wanted to send my suitcase to the next hotel). I chose a room on the women's floor again: it comes with a separate lounge (there is a coffee machine & massage chairs for free, there is also a separate washing machine). and more necessities in the room.

Breakfast could be more varied, it was the same every day. And on a sidenote: the coffee tasted a bit burned (but could be the roasting).

Loved the location and all the amenities for this hotel.

I paid for a massage service and the person showed up 1.5 hours later than what was scheduled with the front desk. The staff called to tell me they would be late at the last minute, but I wish they wouldn't have confirmed the time I requested without confirming with the massage business that it wouldn't be possible to begin with. Also, big surprise that the massage occurs in your hotel room as a fair warning to those that may feel uncomfortable with that, but the person who provided the service was professional and great with me (a solo female traveler).

location is perfect, it's right behind Nikko Hotel in Shinsaibashi, Daimaru is right across the street, 5min walk from Shinsaibashi station, you find all the eatery, shops for all consumption level in the area, and of course, some 15min walk to the famous signboard and touristy area. Buses and subway stations in just a short walk that take you to explore the culture and history. Hotel is clean and nice, hotel owners put efforts in building entrance hallway and sitting area with some serenity (traditional Japanese garden deco), rooms are well set up although it's tiny like most of hotel rooms in Japan. Will stay in this hotel again for my next visit.

nothing in particular

The location of hotel Unizo is perfect, so close to subway exit of Shinsaibashi, in the popular area of Shinsaibashisuji were all the shops, restaurants are. We were most satisfied with the hotelrooms, the housekeepers cleaning the hotelrooms are excellent(!!): everyday clean bedsheets, towels, pyjama, bottles water, slippers, and bathroom cleaned & tidied every day!! For phone , laptop there were cables to use, tea & dripcoffee to make, free water dispense at the floor were our rooms were, free storage of luggage. Also reception has received the wifi package one day before our arrival, though wifi company would let it delivered on the day of arrival and that was not a problem, very efficient front desk employees! Free amenities for use of the bathroom. It is much better provided in Japan them the hotels I stayed in Europe. I have been in Osaka before, in another hotel Shinsabaishi ( also next to subway) so hotel Unizo is one of the best hotels to stay, because of hotelroom & location in this area.

Breakfast was till 10.30 hrs, but till 10 hrs am only the breakfast could be taken of the ‘buffet’. We did not like it, but that is because we took our breakfast ‘ late’ around 9.30/9.45 hrs. We discovered a very good cafe close to the hotel were the breakfast was made fresh, baked by the owner of the cafe. The laundry machine (2) were in use by other guests all the time..

Location was perfect. Just a subway ride from Shin-Osaka and Osaka station. 10 min walk to Dotonbori and right within the Shinsaibashi shopping area, around the corner from America-mura. Perfect location for tourists. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Room was a bit bigger than other business hotels we've been to but still small as expected of business hotels. Still ok for 2 people with 2 carry-ons and 2 backpacks. Room cleaning everyday between 9-12 was great. Water machine on each floor was very convenient. Checkin was at 2 pm (earlier than others which were at 3) and checkout was 12pm (later than others which are 10-11am). Staff was friendly. There is a 7/11 right next door.

The drain was clogged our first night but they cleaned it afterwards. There were some stains on the door frame of the bathroom. Mini fridge was older. AC was a bit slower to cool compared to other hotels we stayed at. Bathroom was a bit smaller compared to some others - impossible to wash my face without spraying water everywhere.
