Comfortable capsules, with bathrooms in the same room, the showers downstairs were okay. The security measures were impressive with facial recognition technology. The lobby was nice with all the instruments, really helped bringing people together in what was my most sociable experience in hostels in Japan so far !

So I had 2 minor problems : First, I booked a "female only" capsule by inadvertance, and they found a solution for me by staying in a private room instead, with overcharge. Second, there was one argument between a guest and a staff member and I had to intervene to calm things down. Aparently in Japan if you make a mistake, you shouldn't find excuses and just ask for forgiveness instead, otherwise it will make them angry.

Amazing location, very open and chill atmosphere, the staff went head and shoulders above to help with any issues I had, great restaurant recommendations, nice and clean communal areas.

A lack of available accommodation pushed me to stay in the 20 person female only dorm. I usually avoid large dorm rooms and was dubious about my stay; however, I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfy and private due to the design. And while there was not much space in room, there was a baggage storage area, and even a little seating area. The owner was fantastic; offering me loads of advice and help when needed. The shared bathroom was a bit out the way being on the ground floor but there was a nice female only space which was very pleasant- hairdryers, straighteners and curlers were available to use.

i loved this hostel! Everything about it was just amazing!! The rooms are nice and privet, each room has a small kitchen, toilets and even a nice area to sit with view to the street. The bathroom os so nice and theres a separate one for woman, with literally everything you can need, plus all super clean!! Furthermore the staff are amazing, thank you kazu for answering my million questions and giving such good recommendations! Helps that the hostel is located in such a good area. Also the jam night is so fun so thats a huge plus. Overall i just love it and can’t way to come back!! Thank u!!!

Everything was perfect

Everything! I really like the security of the place too. The atmosphere of the shared common room is super friendly and welcoming. Super relaxing, too. The staff are all brilliant and lovely. They really go above and beyond and take pride in their hostel/ hotel. I couldn't express how grateful I am to have met these lovely people. This place really helps alleviate some stress from the hussle and bussle. Women's only section is super cute, too, both the dorms and the bathroom! Cosy beds, and you get 1 clean towel every day, provided you leave it where they ask so they can replace it. It's a great place to meet some great and interesting people, too, and have great conversations. I definitely recommend staying here. Initially meant to stay 3 nights, but upon arrival and feeling the atmosphere, I extended my stay. A cancellation to happen to come up when I enquired about extending as the women's only was fully booked. The location is great too everything is in walking distance and there are plenty of rickshaws who will offer to show you around.

I cannot fault anything, I was super impressed of it all

The owner is very helpful, friendly and professional. He's also a great mucisian and often joins guests in jam sessions in the common area. Don't worry, the music can't be heard in the rooms at all. The location is absolutely perfect for Osaka. It's right in the middle of important sights, popular areas and shopping districts. A metro station is very close by and there's plenty of good restaurants and convenience stores around. All this and somehow this particular street manages to be quiet. The capsule rooms are comfortable and spacious with good amenities. There's even power plug converters directly in the walls! Overall this is one of the best and most memorable stays I've had in Japan. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in Osaka.

No major complaints, but small quibbles. For example the ice machine in the common area is not functioning in the evenings and you have to take the elevator down to reach the common showers.

I stayed two nights in the women’s dorm room and one night in a private room and both were excellent. The rooms were very clean and facilities were really great. Kaz on the front desk was very helpful and accommodating, and not shy to offer suggestions for things to do or places to eat in the area. Location was also very central and within walking distance to major shopping districts, great restaurants, Dontonbori area and Shinsaibashi station. Loved the jam session that they put on every Saturday night - the common space area is filled with musical instruments and guests and encouraged to join in and play - thought this was pretty special and unlike any other hostel experience I’ve had!

The hostel is very nice and clean. Met Kaz the owner at the check in who made sure to welcome me nicely and explain everything I need to know. Kaz grew up in Osaka so he has great recommendations for things to do and places to eat that are not full of tourists. The hostel itself is a cozy hostel with plenty common areas and a lounge with musical instruments that guests are welcome to play. The showers are on a different floor from the room but its not a bother. There is a toilet in every dorm room. Kaz and the staff make sure that you feel welcome and safe. The hostel takes extra precautions and you can only enter with your personal key. Plenty to do around the hostel. The pod itself was fairly big and comfy. There is a small locked cabinet for personal things in the room (opens with your key) and a small simple safe for small things in your bunk. All in all had a great stay and would definitely go back if in the area.

Excellent accommodation in an unbeatable location. Highly recommend. Very welcoming, helpful and hospitable hosts Kaz was flexible and prompt with last minute check in arrangements which were our mistake. When we arrived we felt right at home!

The private room with a bunk bed was a bit cosy for 3 adults, each of us having a full-sized checked luggage. But it was still certainly manageable! We just stored our suitcases standing up and took out what we anticipated needing for the following couple days. You soon forget the size of the room, and it does not change my strong endorsement of Feel Osaka Yu to anyone looking for a place to stay in Osaka.

Everything was very clean. The beds were nice and the whole design of the "capsule" was very well thought out. I especially enjoyed how the owner would play music throughout the days and would actively encourage anyone to play if they knew how to play one of the many instruments.

A small critique, the section I was staying in didn't have a rack to leave your bulk luggage while the other side did. It wasn't a big deal, it was more of a fixation I have with organization.
