the hotel is situated just a few hundred metres from the start of the main shopping/fun area of Osaka. There's a metro station 4 mins walk which can connect you to everywhere. Around the hotel there are a few lovely independent shops including coffee, ice cream, bars & small restaurants. It's a real quiet area considering how close you are to the amazing madness of this mega city. You will certainly get a good night's sleep. We had a family room, 4 adults, two parents & two 20 year olds, although it was a little tight as long as you organise your kit, it's fine for a few days, shower & facilities were great. Don't expect the Ritz, but expect a lot more than a travel lodge type of hotel. Laundry on site if you need to wash clothes. The staff were lovely & super helpful. It was an "easy" stay, which when on vacation is what you need. Personally I cannot fault this hotel for the price, really good value for money & some extra too!. I would heartly recommend this hotel for the budget traveller who would like to be comfortable & get a good nights sleep.

Can't think of anything to be honest, it's exceeds what I expected for the price.

We were delighted with the family room and facilities. We are a family of four, with two teenagers who slept in the super comfy bunk beds. We were so happy with the room because it was spacious and had a small kitchen which was perfect for us to heat up any convenience meals we picked up at the supermarket around the corner. The hotel was so well located, just around the corner from the subway station and amidst small eateries, a very short walk away from the main streets. It was peaceful and quiet at night. We were greeted by Jake who was extremely helpful and welcoming.The rest of the staff were just as warm and friendly. The hotel also has a coin laundry which was very useful as we were travelling with small bags. Thank you, Mimaru Osaka Shinsaibashi West ! We will definitely recommend you and we would stay with you again without hesitation if we are lucky enough to return to Osaka.

Everything from the location, lobby, rooms, amenities and of course the staffs. We were travelling as a family, my sister and my nieces had tagged along to my family of 5. We want to express our gratitude to one exceptional staff Seira Nitta who had wowed us during our stay. My sister has apparently dropped her pouch containing all her valuables and she discovered it missing while we were visiting Kyoto. We quickly rang the hotel to help search for the item in her room which they willingly obliged without any fuss. Quick thinking Seira had observed that my sister had visited the family mart located besides the hotel and she sprang to the mart to check and immediately gave us the image of the pouch !!! She had saved everyone's day as otherwise the trip would not be the same!!. Every single one of us were very pleased with MIMARU WEST OSAKA. Thank you for the great hospitality and fantastic stays. We will definitely come back !

The staffs , reception all very helpful and friendly. They all speak English. They have coffee capsules we can get anytime, coffee sachets, tea sachets and sleepwear. They also have game boards to play . Laundry area with dryer . There are a lot of good restaurants in the area. Search for the Indian restaurant Delhi. Sometimes we just cook at the apartment and chill. Grocery is 2mins away and family mart is just beside the hotel. Location is very good too 2minutes away to station. 10mins walk to dotonbiri. Everyone's so nice and helpful. We felt safe. Last year we stayed in Mimaru tokyo and also loved the experience. Thank you everyone for a relaxing stay!

Staff were super helpful. Rooms were clean (and frequently too) and had all the necessary items needed for a week long holiday. Very family-friendly (we travelled with a toddler) and in a convenient location - close to the Metro, convenience stores, supermarket, and plenty of cafes.

There's only one lift which sometimes got busy (e.g. check in and check out times). Needed to remind ourselves to bring our mugs for coffee downstairs. Also it's close to a fire station - was only noisy 1 of the 9 nights we stayed.

Recommend staying here for travelling families. Great location close to multiple train lines and interest areas (food, shopping, Dotonburi walkable) The staff here are amazing, when contacting online asking for some recommendations in light of a birthday we would be celebrating we were surprised on arrival by a happy birthday ballon and message with towels folded like a cake. So cute! My daughter was really excited. We stayed in the Japanese style family apartment and it was definitely cosy. Need to be mobile for this one as beds and futons are all floor level.

A small, quiet hotel in a very convenient area. We were within walking distance of the famous covered shopping district but far enough from the main hustle that the nights and area were quiet. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly and welcoming. There was even a hand drawn map of the nearby area with staff-recommended restaurants and shops to check out. We left a couple of our own recommendations 😁 hope they’ll be added to the list!

The room lacked storage space. There were only three of us this trip but we were having trouble finding places to put away our things.

Well stocked kitchen, this is very practical.

Cleaning was a bit of a miss. We usually stayed in our rooms in the morning and went out for the whole afternoon -- however cleaning staff only came in the morning, this meant we had no room cleaning done during the whole stay. Hotel is in a central area but it's not the nicest neighborhood. Staff interactions can be silly and performative, e.g. at checkin they greet you with a long list of all the perks they cut due to being "green", at checkout they offer you a "departure gift" which is just a QR code to review them on tripadvisor. Maybe it'd be better to omit these :)

Lovely space kitchen with nice big fridge. Plenty of room for large family. Fantastic location. Front staff was lovely.

Only wish more storage space and better quality hangers. The cleaners who changed the bed sheets on 2 days of our week stay had really bad BO sadly very off putting when changing bed sheets. Could smell also in the elevator. Wasn’t gonna say but always room for improvement so they don’t get bad reviews.

1) That ALL staff (from those manning the reception to the cleaners) were extremely friendly, courteous & accommodative. We had sought their assistance a few times and on all occasions, they really went out of their way to help us. For instance, booking a taxi for our trip to a train station at wee hours in the morning & helping us decide which transport arrangement best suits us for our trip home. 2) The location of the hotel - walking distance to 3 Metro stations. 3) The facilities nearby - Family Mart is just next door & there is a 24-hour AEON Food Style nearby. 4) The fact that it offers an apartment like facilities. Not many hotels could comfortably accommodate 5 adults, let alone provide a kitchenette, a separate bathroom & toilet.

1) We noticed upon our arrival that the dining table still had some slight coffee stains on it & we needed to wiped it twice for the table to be really clean. 2) The liquid bath soap (which smelt really great btw) was not re-filled. Again, not an issue since we had just enough for the whole stay. The 2 points above didn't affect our stay at all, just sharing as points for improvement : )
